I got a sign today.

Maybe a small sign but still..

I was talking to someone today from Alaska.. She had cabins for rent and I was trying to work out a deal for a small vacation..

Anyway, we got to talking about animals on the property and she brought up that her family was heavily into dogs and dog rescue and she started to complain a little about her run ins with the local goobermint..

So the conversation flowed into politics and that is when she told me that she has been a Republican for most of her life but recently she has been sickened by what's going on and the bombshell came next..

She said "We really missed the boat with that libertarian guy"

Now being that we had been talking politics I know she could tell that I was unhappy too but she did most of the talking and I never told her I was a libertarian.

I couldn't help but laugh a little when she said it. All I said was "Yeah I think we did too"..

She's a nice lady of 65.

:)

Not definitive proof that we're making headway across the board but I sure enjoyed it.

"that libertarian guy"

The name that shall not be uttered...still.

hindsight. gotta love it.

The law cannot make a wicked person virtuous…God’s grace alone can accomplish such a thing.
Ron Paul - The Revolution

Setting a good example is a far better way to spread ideals than through force of arms. Ron Paul

Looks like seeds sown are taking root.

Thanks for sharing your story.

My boss

Is the same way, and he's in his 70's. He talks about Ron Paul incessantly. He is a Republican and unfortunately voted for Rmoney, but he doesn't even realize not only is he a libertarian, he's also an an-cap. It's kind of comical. Our salesman thinks I turned him into a libertarian/constitutionalist/republican who hates taxation (although he pays every red cent) but he was already like that before.

Anyways, I've told the story before, but during primaries he said "I really like that guy, I can't remember his name but he ran last time too"

So I said "Ron Paul?"

"Yeah that guy has his stuff together, he's the only guy who knows the real deal" Keep in mind this is a small business owner.

He still espouses Dr. Paul's edicts and brings him up in any political conversation.

So Ron Paul helped turn a former NeoCon business owner onto liberty. He was already close, but Dr. Paul helped to sharpen and formulate his views. I think he was already there, but the mass media told him what to do.

In any case, I am a proud DP'er who works for another RP fan.

Yours is a great story too.

I also had a younger republican customer ask me about sandy hook two weeks ago and he went on to say he didn't believe what the government was saying about it.

We were both in agreement that we weren't sure what was going on but some really strange crap was popping up.

He was a Santorum guy!

I think people are definitely waking up.

Nice

News!

I have a really strong feeling that we could stir up more

support if he'd run again.. I think people would come to him in droves now considering all that has unfolded since the elections and STILL keeps happening presently.

We need a real libertarian though and not faux.

Could you imagine the parties that would

spontaneously burst into existence over that.

The world would cheer and Liberty would catch on like forest on fire.

I would spontaneously burst into tears :-)

As horribly as the democrats overwhelm this area, there were actually a small number who would have voted Ron had he been on the ballot.

The republicans vote the party, so they would obviously vote Ron, just as they did romney. Add our [r3VOLution] numbers to the mix, there is no way any democrat would win.

The fact is, Ron's numbers increased dramatically since 2008. Three years from now, along with our activism, his speeches [now that he is retired from Congress], well I am speaking to the choir with you, so I'll stf up, lol.

That would be the ultimate final test for this nation. If Ron ran again and lost 2016, you may as well round up every American flag throughout this forsaken country and burn them all to hell.

Thanks

Love stories like this.

He's the man.

Me too.

It's nice to see something like this on a personal level. I had a smile for most of the day. :)

I was on the phone a couple of days ago with my sister

when she had a similar conversation. when she got out of her car at a Walmart, an older guy remarked about her Ron Paul sticker. He said, "We all should have voted for him". He said, "We'd all be a lot better off." The longer he talked you could tell he still thought Romney was an ok guy but a loser none the less.

I think People all over are second guessing the primaries and the lost and alienated votes in the general that Romney's nomination inspired.

Another one...

one of my best buds, whom i worked on trying to convince for over a year (he's libertarian but doesn't know it) - QUIT the R party and registered "I".

That SHOCKED me, he was so hard-core, and he just up and quit the party out of Disgust.

So many of the cable news shows are bringing guests on who

are giving Ron Paul's views and ideas, mostly about the wars and economy. They never mention Dr. Paul's name, it's always some new revelation and great idea from the special guest they are interviewing. I always take to my twitter and tweet the shows while they are still on and remind them these ideas aren't new and Ron Paul has been telling us these things for years, but they were too slow getting on the boat.

I agree.

I've been avoiding my landlady since right before the election, she got all kinds of bent out of shape about my husband wearing a Ron Paul T-shirt on day... My husband has pulled me from the clutches of jackboots, but this woman was so freaked out he promised to vote for Romney to calm her silly ass down.

Well, last week she was all about how we are her favorite renters, and how she wants to get the AP system built, and do we need any help with anything... but the kicker was that she had quit the GOP because they are so corrupt...

There's something happenin' here....
