Why the Woodward drama is a FAIL

So Bob Woodward has taken Obama to the woodshed over his attempt to pander for tax increases by claiming he can't "protect America" because of the sequester.

Woodward is no hero here.

He fails on two fronts:

  1. Projecting power into foreign waters and territories—ala sending an air craft carrier battle group to the Persian Gulf—is not "protecting America," unless we are under a declaration of War. Since we are not, such an act is merely chest thumping at the least, and out right unlawfully aggressive at worst.
  2. There's nothing wrong with not being able to conduct a war of opportunity because of financial constraints. In fact, this is one of the high selling points of a hard monetary system and one of the major negatives of a fiat or a debt based currency. Easy 'money' enables the bankers to fund wars of profit and control. Gold and silver hold a leash on that and pretty much dictate that war will only happen when someone else attacks us first.

Woodward is no friend of the Liberty movement, he's no friend to sound monetary policy, he's no friend to fiscal restraint, and he's no friend to non-interventionism. His statements don't change that.

His blathering may be putting sand in Barry Soetoro's panties, but that doesn't make him "the enemy of my enemy and thus my friend."

Seriously, from seeing some of the other posts here on DP lately on this topic, one would think everyone here just went back to sleep and started paying 24/7 attention to whatever the boob tube tells them.

Bob Woodward

Used to be a very good investigative reporter.

However his ego has grown, grown, and grown some more.

Obama, Bush & Clinton have all threatened reporters.

The only difference is that they threatened HIM.

NOW it's a big deal.

Damn hypocrite.

wrong

This is very important via a historical perspective and what it could mean to Obama, this actually could be the beginning of the end of Obama's ability to bring more socialist change.

I disagree...

I think this thing is exactly what it looks like.

Woodward stated that he was threatened by a high ranking member of the Obummer Amin.

If enough people learn of that there will be pressure to impeach.

Doesn't matter what Woodward's political leanings are and it doesn't matter what some "secret op" may be. It is the fact that the obummer Admin threatened a reporter.

That is news and it is bad news for obummer.

Just read about this issue

The guy is criticizing Obama instead of the republicans so the republicans are hyping it. Waste of time. Read what his criticism of Obama is. He's a nut ball.

No train to Stockholm.

It's not about his blathering

It's about MSM waking up to censorship. It was one thing when they complied with government. It's quite amother when there is no complience, just do as you're told ot else "you'll regret it".

It's not just the censorship of the individual, after all, Woodward is a corporation, so he's shocked because he thought he was safe, and he's apparently very afraid.

Agreed.

Everything he does is scripted. He's been an insider way too long to be a "renegade".

He's also a warmonger.

"If this mischievous financial policy [greenbacks], which has its origin in North America, should become endurated down to a fixture, then that government will furnish its own money without cost. It will pay off its debts and be without debts. It will hav

Perhaps it

is just the fact that a media persona is willing to shed some light on the dirty tactics the BO administration is willing to use when it comes to media relations. Because people think this is a big deal does not necessarily mean they all support his ideals. It is a breath of fresh air to hear news like this coming out of msnbc of all places, and for me anyways I think it is a big deal.
