Michele Bachmann DRILLS Bernanke Wed 2/27/13...

...ala Ron Paul - Too bad she turn-coated him in 2012

Is Bachmann the new Ron Paul in the House Finance Committee?

Before anyone jumps down my throat for asking such a question, you better check out her exchange with Bernanke.

Don't worry, I disavowed any allegiance to Bachmann after the 2012 presidential debates when she turned on Dr. Paul like a Benidict Arnold.

I'll never forgive her for that.

But in the process of throwing Dr. Paul under the bus (even after hosting several Town Hall meetings with him in Minnesota), she apparently learned a few things from him about the FED.

Today she really went after Bernanke, and basically left him speechless. It was pretty much a knockout punch!

She skillfully hit him up with very damaging hard numbers which he could not dispute.

If this had been a boxing match, Bernanke would have been laying there punch-drunk on the canvas.

So though it pains me so to do it, I'll have to give Bachmann kudos for this exchange.

Bachmann is simply PANDERING.

Bachmann is simply PANDERING. She wants donations. She wants votes. She wants power. Never trust anything Bachmann says.

Who freaking cares which

Who freaking cares which bureaucrat who Bachmann grills?

She is several decades and elections cycles too late to the monetary bashing bandwagon.

This receives a down vote from me.

Good Follow Up Question

A good follow up question could have been something along this lines - "If the Fed is purchasing treasuries to put interest rates a bit lower, doesn't that mean that foreign holders of US debt want a higher interest rate on US debt because they view it as risky?"

"If the Fed has to purchase debt in order to keep interest rates a bit lower, doesn't that mean that the demand for US debt is not as robust as was in the past?"

Not a bad line of questioning by Bachman, but she is still is an interventionist is other countries and, by extention, their central banking activities.

We could find other buyers of our debt

We could find other buyers of our debt other than the FED BUT the interest rates would skyrocket. Which is going to happen eventually. The FED is in total market manipulation.

After she stands for war with Iran, war with Iraq, war with Afghanistan, misrepresenting the UN report, she ends by stating she stands on the side of peace...what a laugh.

Dog and Pony

Look at the show! This is all a fake show... Bernenke doesn't have any say in anything, and neither does Bachmann, they are just puppets... it is a show. It may as well be listed on imdb.com, as an ongoing movie.

More Glenn Beck links today too... whoopideedoo.. these people are just vents in a pressure cooker that the power elite have put in place to distract you and keep you from exploding.

What are the Rothschilds doing today? You won't find out anywhere on the news.

SOME of these people can see the light too

I'm not sure what the case is with MB just yet. It may be that the reality for "these" people is starting to sink in and some are willing to change their views. Better than the ones still grasping to a dying system, right?

This is the beginning of the infighting within the system that we all knew to expect. What I see happening is that the awakened masses see how completely illegitimate the system is (or portions of it) and there are those who still grasp to old ways. And that "grey" area in between it disappearing creating more and more contrast between new and old.

Most of us here should know that experiencing a personal paradigm shift, battling our own cognitive dissonance and transitioning from the old to the new, may be quite an uncomfortable and often scary experience. These politicians are still people and they may (MAY) be going through the same themselves. We must be willing to forgive them should their new intentions be sincere.

I'm still not a fan of MB but I give her credit for that exchange.

I have to concede that

lying, cheating, turn-coats can "see the light" too. I pray that they do. But people in these types of positions - who have information (like what Dr. Paul has said for decades) have an ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITY to "see the light" when it is presented to them, and not after the threat (Dr. Paul as POTUS) has gone away.

Sorry, but you WILL know them by their actions, not their words. BTW, the timing seems odd to me that these supposed conservatives (even calling themselves "libertarians") are suddenly trying to join our movement. Very suspicious indeed (Tea Party anyone?).

Very True

It's MORE likely that they're just trying to rebrand the Republican Party as some kind of Libertarian Conservative sub-party, but you're right, it'll take more than words and new brand names to get people on your side. We know how they use nice names for horrible legislation so there is no difference here.

We've all been fooled once already and shame on them. We won't allow it again.

Good line of questioning.

And she's pleasant to look at to boot.

But, does anybody expect the chairman to admit The Fed's plan is being followed faithfully, that the dollar is intentionally being destroyed, and that the engineered collapse of the U.S. economy and destruction of the middle class is almost complete?

Naturally, after the destruction, the zombies will believe that the Fed's latest proposal will work, let's just give them a chance to reform themselves, and then all will be well.

Seriously, why doesn't somebody go in and arrest this criminal, and then walk into the White House and arrest the criminal in chief. Nothing will change until those arrests take place.

The evidence is overwhelming and irrefutable. Arrest them. Try them and then execute or imprison them for crimes against humanity (all the wars in which they've killed millions). It's pretty simple. Not realistic I know, but simple.

Just like I said about Palin

in the post from yesterday. You'll KNOW them by their ACTIONS. Words are cheap when your goal is to subvert the Liberty movement. (Beck, Palin, Bachmann, et al)

Yeah, well ok....

If she feels that passionately about it, let's see her proposal to cut $1 Trillion in spending like Ron Paul proposed. Let's see her plan for a full FED audit. Let's hear her actual solutions.

Until I see her actually step forward and take some action, real substantive action, it's all just inconsequential fluff...

Shelly B's like all Rs: complains about spending, votes for war

Shelly B's got some good lines, sure. But she's like all Rs: complains about spending, votes for war spending, military contracts, and the total subservience of the Republic to the State of Israel.

Republicans always moan about "spending," and Democrats always moan about "investing." Neither of them EVER practice what they preach.

She's obviously not the "wild eyed Tea Party bimbo" that the corp. media so successfully portrayed her as..

Bachmann is not the new Ron Paul..but

"Is Bachmann the new Ron Paul in the House Finance Committee?" NOOO. but.. she finally did something right so I'll give her credit for that.

hey, at least she is trying.

hey, at least she is trying. maybe she has been reading the material ron gave her.

she's looks good, too.

Kudos to Bachmann on this

Kudos to Bachmann on this issue. Now, we need the rest of congress to jump on board. I wonder who was walking out behind Bachmann during the exchange. So many in congress, don't understand how important the Fed's actions are for our economy.
