Liberty Rising. Was reading

Liberty Rising.
Was reading an article about the election and this is a quote from Former Tory chairman Lord Tebbit. "However, to be pushed into third place behind the party of nutcases, fruit cakes and closet racists, as David Cameron ill-advisedly described UKIP supporters, is a humiliating defeat."
Sounds like the quotes about RP and us during our elections.
UKs Ron Paul, Nigel Farage, is a happy camper.

agreed

I do have to give Diane James and her team and her supporters/voters another round of applause.

2 weeks to pull something like that off is spectacular to say the least.

Diane seems to be very concise and personable and articulate and intelligent. She reminds me a bit of a young Lady Thatcher with a different English dialect. I think good things are in store for Diane in the future if she continues on.

I do not where UKIP found her but someone is doing one heck of a recruiting job.

Don't underestimate the work of Ron Paul Repulicans

In setting the ideological enviroment for this result.

The ideas that are flowing from the US are making their way around the world.

Great result, we need more of it.

Lord Acton, Lord Chief Justice of England, 1875 - "The issue which has swept down the centuries and which will have to be fought sooner or later is the People v. The Banks."

Wow

Way to tone down the conceit. Have you ever heard of David Hume or Adam Smith or David Ricardo, just to name a few?

It is praise for the efforts of others around the world

for standing up for their views.

These ideas are feeding off each other and together we can work towards the goal of liberty.

Yeah I have heard of the people you mention, so what?

Lord Acton, Lord Chief Justice of England, 1875 - "The issue which has swept down the centuries and which will have to be fought sooner or later is the People v. The Banks."

Nice backpedal

.

Not at all

As I am not an American Citizen then how could I be praising myself?

Lord Acton, Lord Chief Justice of England, 1875 - "The issue which has swept down the centuries and which will have to be fought sooner or later is the People v. The Banks."

Pardon me, not at all conceit then

More then like stealing UKIP's thunder by proxy.

My point is to give credit where credit is due instead of pretending that the success was part of some global-unified effort.

No doubt the success is UKIP's

My point was that the interplay of ideas is connected throughout the world and everyone who adds just a little to the battle can affect the direction of debate around the world.

Farage has openly stated he is a libertarian lately where do you think shift in ideology has sprung from? You are correct if you guess it is from the success (yes I think you had great success) of the Ron Paul Republican movement.

Lord Acton, Lord Chief Justice of England, 1875 - "The issue which has swept down the centuries and which will have to be fought sooner or later is the People v. The Banks."

I am not UKIP

I am from a country known in the vernacular as Canada. And no, I don't believe that the success of market-based ideas has been stemming from Ron Paul's political career as much as you seem to believe.

I believe that political activism is inherently immoral.

Nigel's getting laid tonight!

Just hope they don't trump him up like Assange.

Super news!

This is an historic turning point for them. Imagine if that happened here, there'd be dancing in the streets.

Fantastic news!

This will show the rest of the country that UKIP can win elections and they are contenders. Very exciting!

Congrats to all those people who worked hard to make this moment in history.
