Why Would Israeli Children Wear This Costume to Celebrate Purim?

The storytelling of Purim chronicles the deliverance of the Jewish people from their enemies in ancient Persia as written in the biblical book of Esther. In modern day Israel it is a festive occasion where the people cavort about in a carnival like atmosphere.

What I found odd is a certain costume worn by Israeli children depicting the burning of the twin towers on 9/11 with airplanes crashing into the buildings (see the third embedded picture here: http://www.ynet.co.il/articles/0,7340,L-4348121,00.html ) and here (see: http://us.shalomlife.com/culture/18828/kids-purim-costume-id... ).

Why would these parents permit their children to dress in this manner? This was a tragic time for the American people where nearly 3,000 innocent people were murdered. Why would Israelis mock our suffering in this deplorable way? It makes me wonder about our relationship with the country of Israel.

You ask the question:

"Why would Israelis mock our suffering in this deplorable way?"

I ask this question:
Why does a certain ethnic group own our government, media, banks, justice system, and who know what else?

I have always had enough evidence to implicate a certain ethnic group for the destruction of Western Culture but never the motive. Until now. It is not hateful, racist, or bad.

Please watch this:

Disclamer: I have two grandparents that ethnically belong to the group. Neither followed the oral traditions though, which I believe are the main culprit or tool, whichever side you're on, that results in the protection of the culture and people at the expense of others.

As much as certain conclusions ave led me to believe that 911 was a controlled collapse false flag operation, Attacking the Jew's holiday with such little backing info really just seems like a trap. The headlines will only read "DP bloggers attack Jewish holiday, more internet censorship needed"...

I'd like to see more info on this hear say holiday but it is a straw man argument at best from mainstream's pov. That picture could be from any time place person, for a different event.

Skeptical and careful not to blow my credibility.

It is a good sign that 911 info is getting out there to the point that trolls are reverting to this level of sneaky back door attacks. Keep putting out good info, not this ....

This is a good thing to research but seems a really bad idea as any kind of an entry point to share info or being linked to being critical of their religion.

No One is Being Critical of Judaism or a Jewish Holiday

These pictures from two different reputable sources depict the insensitivity of certain Israelis who think that iconic images of 9/11 should be treated with frivolity and gaiety.

This is but one of many instances where Israel does not appreciate what America has done for it and they should be called out when they act like this.

Not convinced

Even if it were true, it is not the entry to the subject of mass murder on US soil. The evidence is finally getting more play so please help people to understand this event from help from Engineers, firefighters, pilots, etc. they're just trying to complicate the issue with religion. Stay strong, we are getting closer, I hope.

The israeli media liked it until too much attention arose about

just like anything else with the land of Oz we call israel, nothing about that place is spiritual anymore, just full of lies to separate their peoples from the goys they call cattle.

All jews of the world are suffering at the hands of their most fundamental gold snatching bretheren, the illusory has indeed caused in the hearts and minds of the wise to distrust jews for their basic terminology may now contaminate our children's minds.

"Anti-Semitic" invokes a multitude of ethnicity's, but for those creeds that seek the highest form of exception to humanity we would know of what makes the semitic world go round.

but for the greedy few of this religion of exceptions the entire tribe is now an aristocracy to be, and those that curse it are called self hating jews, those that are impressed by it may or may not care... which is to pass over the goys as cattle to resolve their familial bonds.

"pass the soup" they will say.

well motherfuhkers... NO SOUP FOR YOU!

A true flower can not blossom without sunlight and a true man can not live without love.

I didn't catch it the first time; the site was in . . .

Hebrew; I saw it on the second link--

I think *we* can assume that there are extremists everywhere by this.

And not generalize.

I didn't know much about Purim, but it seems very similar to Halloween--

where, depending upon the family, etc.--costumes will either be cute or macabre (or everything in between)--

One set of parents don't represent an entire group, but it is a sad thing that these parents allowed this.

I would say the same thing about people anywhere; I wouldn't collectivize.

As to why the press didn't notice it? Well, there does seem to be an anti-Palestinian bias in the American MSM.

If such a thing were to be done by a Palestinian family--

there might be a repercussion.

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

What if this had been Palestinian Children Mocking 9/11?

The reason this deserves attention is simple: just imagine if this had been a Palestinian child, or ANY Arab child? Fox News would have run with it all day!

Or some German kids dressed up like Auschwitz...

Abe Foxman would have an aneurysm.

Do you even know what

Purim is even about? Watch this video by Dr Duke. I know you have been made to believe he is a racist, but I have listened to and watched his videos for years and never heard him make a racist attack. He may have been a racist when he was a young man in the KKK, but like most they tend to go along with their surroundings and when they mature tend to reevalute their views. He just provides facts to expose the myths created by the MSM, and he has always stood on the side of the Arab Palestinians, both Christian and Muslim. He also, praises the courageous Jews who have the guts to speak against the Zionist Talmudic controllers. So, if he was trully a white supremist, why does he praise the Arabs and non-Zionist Jews? He is really just attacked as a racist to keep people from listening to what he is exposing, much like they did to Dr Paul by calling him a 'nutjob', 'kook', 'insane', ect when attacking his views on foreign policy. Watch the video with an open mind and decide if you think what he says is racist and learn who the real racists are. The video says it's part II, but it really is part I, part II (called part I)is in the right column if you want to watch it. I have researched what he is exposing and everything he mentions is factual. http://youtu.be/oQGmmsUOwp4

Isralies are not mocking the US

One or Two retarded parents made an insensitive costume.... people do stupid things all the time. Not worth getting upset about.

Their are hundreds of reasons to change our relationship with Israel.
This is not one of them.

You Mean we shouldn't Judge

an entire country based on the the actions of a few?
You mean we should ignore things that people do that we don't approve of?
It's nice to see one person passes the Libertarian Test

yes, so I voted you up--

I don't vote up or down often--

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

Sadly, we've seen pictures

Sadly, we've seen pictures like this coming from Israel in the past where they do not consider acts like this as "insensitive."

Well judging by the article

in the second link. The news paper got considerable backlash for the photo and title. The costume also received tons of criticism so its safe to assume that the majority of people in Israel are good same as around the world. Again judging an entire country based on the actions of a small minority (in this case 2 people) is ignorant.

Their are hundreds of people in costumes in the pictures and only one costume designed to offend the US...

I'm sure there was a backlash in Israel . . .

because there are some very conscientious people there who are as displeased with their government leaders as *we* are with ours.

But there wouldn't have been a backlash here in America--

otherwise, I agree with the two previous posters (including dutk0004); it is very important not to collectivize.

There are insensitive people everywhere; maybe the parents have that particular kind of Aspergers that doesn't pick up on social cues--

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

Thats good to know. Thanks.

Thats good to know. Thanks.

One more time:

Please read through this article...understand that EVERYTHING you think you know is wrong. You have been lied to by every institution you've ever been in contact with since childhood. Are you pissed-off yet?

Silence isn't always golden....sometimes it's yellow.

You mean

in a free society, you envison, people should be prohibited to vote for whom they want as their representatives? You may advocate that all candidates declare if they have a dual citizenship or not, but the decision to elect should be left to people at large. Liberterian thought is not to elect the best people into government, but chain government down with laws to the point of insignificance. So your hysteria, driven by emotions, has no Libertarian basis.

Learn to read.

Oh good grief...you didn't READ any of the article! NONE of these people were elected, they were appointed!! They cannot be elected because they are not American. They are put in a place of importance by the very people who are working so hard to dismantle our system of government and rule our lives by totalitarian means.
Your very first sentence tells us all quite a bit about how you view the world...we are NOT in a free society!!
Please stop posting crap like the above on DP until you figure out how the world REALLY works...you may post to ask all the legitimate questions you would like, but as of right now, your conclusions seem to be all wrong.

I wonder

why would you monitor Israeli and Jewish press and not Arab? I see daily whining about Israel, but nothing about Sharia Law that despises capitalism and free society or about Sharia Law fans who despise Western values.

Your hatred of Israel is given from the start. You are wasting time and energy to find lame excuses to pursuade others that Israel is no good. At DP, you do not need much - David Duke and Louis Farrakhan is popular here.

Freedom and tolerance is foreign to you. That is why your logic is based on victimhood like that of socialists. If people follow your reason then picture of Arab children distributing candy to celebrate 9/11 attack should result in USA not sending money to Abbas. But USA still sends money, weapons and training personnel to West Bank.

If you want posts monitoring Arab press...

...nothing is stopping you from making such posts.

The poster of this thread is under no obligation to cater to you.

But that is not a Libertarian way to mock individual actions and extrapolate that on the whole society. That is reserved for socialists, collectivists and populists - thinking in groups. Like David Duke and Louis Farrakhan do.

Wow! You need a homework assignment...

Why do you think the Arabs hate us? Because we're free? Because FOX news tells you they hate us? I am not an expert by-any-means...but as I understand the Muslim religion, it's OK to use a bank...it's OK to take out a loan, too. However, it is forbidden to charge interest on that loan!! The teachings of Islam (like the bible) charge us all to help our fellow-man to succeed in all endevours. Now, connect the dots and understand why we're carpet-bombing all the nations without central banks.
Israel IS our mortal enemy. They are not friends of any nation on Earth except for the US. Again, connect the dots and figure out who is REALLY running our government, our banks, our media, our educational system, etc. Seek the truth, know the truth and the truth shall set you free.

Reread my post

I was referring to Sharia law fans, not ethnicity. In a free society, children and their parents have right to dress as they like, offensively included. You have right to feel a victim and elect representatives to stop US foreign aid. That has nothing to do with those children or Israel as a whole - they still have the right for personal expression, whatever their explanation might be.

You bet

Those Israeli kids should be able to wear their Twin Towers costumes at Ground Zero on Halloween even if Islamic law requires a burqa over the top 20 stories.

I've seen your

comments before. You love to bash those with Christian faith saying they are fools for believing in that stuff, but then get all bent out of shape when somebody criticizes Israel. You are a hypocrite and an Israeli Firster. Someone comes along along an article and all of a sudden they are "monitoring it?"

"Freedom and tolerance is foreign to you.." But then you go and be intolerant to the poster. Again hypocritical.

You have a myopia

Your victimhood is also on display. I do not single out Christians. I do reason against validity of ALL religious dogmas, miracles, and blind beliefs. Nobody here posts Buddhist, Judaic or Islamic propaganda. But some do post lame asserttions that Jesus is a Libertarian and he will deliver us a perfect society.

I say you are showing signs

of intolerance, and then you use a different word to describe intolerance? If you "reason against the validity of 'ALL' religious dogmas" then why do you always jump to defend Israel's every action? By your statement, all religious states are illegitimate. Again you show your hypocrisy.

“When a well-packaged web of lies has been sold gradually to the masses over generations, the truth will seem utterly preposterous and its speaker a raving lunatic.” – Dresden James

I disagree with your whole logic

If somebody expresses a wrong idea, expressing argument against that idea is not "intolerance." People who criticize Libertarians are not intolerant. We, who criticize socialists, are not intolerant either. I tolerate ideas of socialism as I tolerate ideas of religion - they are not compatible with reason. My mind treats them as false dogmas.

Answer the question

If you argue the validity of all religions, why is it that you lambast anyone who criticizes Israel, a religious state? Isn't there a little hypocrisy there? You should say "I argue the validity of all religions except those of the Jewish state."
