Domestic terrorists strike Turner Oregon

When someone gets killed at one of these "drills" because one of the students is a friggin' Ninja black belt, maybe that will slow them down?

The person who saved lives

is punished? Of course it deprives the government of a bus load of dead and dying students in their quest to remove firearms from the hands of law abiding citizens.

Get your kids out of public schools, the gun free zone prison camps. The government doesn't mind exploiting your children and it isn't going to get any better.

All of us should send emails and call the nitwits at the school and recommend this young man be given an award for bravery, maybe a parade in his honor. If the school won't do it, the citizens should.

This is the reward one student got for foiling a gunman...

FOX4: FORT MYERS, Fla. – A 16-year-old Cypress Lake High School student, who wrestled a loaded revolver away from a teen threatening to shoot, is being punished.

"The student grappled the gun away from the 15-year-old suspect on the bus ride home Tuesday after witnesses say he aimed the weapon point blank at another student and threatened to shoot him.

The student, who Fox 4 has agreed not to identify because he fears for his safety, says there’s “no doubt” he saved a life by disarming the gunman. And for that he was suspended for three days."

So I guess this is what happens to those who try to stop a would be attacker. They get punished.

Only 5 comments, all of them spot on

Especially Elder's comment, ending with "We don't need to be slaves anymore."

Either people are waking up, or we are posting there. Either way it's a good thing, as more become exposed to the ideas of liberty. I can't see going back to a non-liberty way of thinking, once exposed.

I love you. I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.

Hegelian dialectic

Create a crisis, instill fear, offer a solution WHAMO! you got your sheeple.

If Tyranny and Oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy.

They apparently expect the students to act like cowering prey.

They could be creating regrettable outcomes with these stunts.

You bring up an excellent point about people actually defending themselves and fighting back, and that things could get ugly.

What would they have done if the tables turned and the students tackled him and beat the snot out of him?

Also, in that instance, more than likely he would've been hollering something like, "Get off me. It's just a drill."

But if they really expect people to just roll over and say "oh, ok" when met with such a response, that opens the door for them being vulnerable to a REAL attacker, as anyone could pull the ~it's just a drill~ card to get their victims to let their guard down.

Unannounced drills like this and crying wolf could also leave the kids thinking it's just the school tricking them again, when it could actually be a real attack.

Also, this part blows my mind:

Melissa Casady, president of the Turner Parent Club, believes it was never the principal’s intention to scare the kids.

Um...wrong. Scaring the kids to see how they'd react seems to be THE whole purpose of deliberately leaving them uninformed that it was a drill.

Terrible title

I was just showing them how the DailyPaul is the best place to get news so she asks me to click this link and it turns out to be an overblown fear mongering title with very little substance. If there wasn't really a terrorist strike in Oregon I do not see how the title is appropriate.

Image how the kids felt.

;)

Not disagreeing that a different title might be in order, though.

The Good Old Days

Sometimes I long for simpler times when all we had to do to terrorize kids was to make them hide under their desks because the bad bad Russians were going to vaporize the school with nuclear weapons.

Ahhh...

Those were the days. Hit your head getting under your desk and hit your head getting out from under your desk. Life seemed so simple then...

Can any one of us think of a time when the government hasn't made kids afraid of something, anything?

LOL We were sent out into the hallway

with our coats/jackets to put over our heads while we faced the wall (readying for the firing squad?) armed with our rosaries!! And the nuns made sure we prayed loudly.

watch out.

One of my neighbors is a local high school administrator, and during one of his dialogues about how "no one" would want kids to have knives in school, I mentioned that I would not have my kids in any school where they could not carry a gun.

I bet

you're on the "parents with radical ideas" watch list.

WTF!

Were the First responders called to the school? Fire all involved!
