I would eliminate the
I would eliminate the standing armies. Just call all the troops back from unjust wars (all of them), and send them all home.
End every single entitlement program.
Bottom line, if I can't find anything in the Constitution that pretty much requires it's existence, I would cut it. So, I would keep the US Treasury so they can mint gold and silver currency, etc.

You can't cut the Pregnancy Assistance Fund
The world needs babies! We need the next generation of workers when older ones retire. How dare you put an end to procreation?

But... But... But...
If you cut all these programs.... the world as we know it would end. Life would cease to exist and chaos would ensue....
What the hell is wrong with you? Your heart must be frozen. You can't just go around cutting programs, people NEED these programs. Don't you like people? Or do you hate people? You must be one of those people hating people.
And the migratory bird conservation account... So, not only do you hate people, you clearly hate birds also.
End Sarcasm.
Why were you "being nice" with your program cutting list? I say be ruthless.
jrd is still here... kinda in a weird sort of way. She also just might be the happiest girl in the world because she got exactly what she wanted which was a perfect summer wandering playlist.
Railroad?! You saw he cut railroads?! But he went too far!
Not one. Not two. Lost of them. Not actual railroads, thank heavens. But 5% of railroad funding... The maligned "sequesterable" part. Which is, I presume, the most delectable part.
Alas, I am resigned. Maybe now that we have a few Transcontinental Railroads fully operational & sucking our government dry, we could sell off a few of them to unsuspecting fools.
But there are limits to furious spending cuts. Here is where the humorous buck stops. Thou shalt not cut:

Sorry Mark Twain, but you are wrong
The only real "Thou shalt not cut" up there is the obvious
"Miscellaneous Special Funds"
How could anyone approve cutting something so specific and not at all questionable?

I got my rights! The road to wrong intentions is paved with rights... to "other people's money."

I was being nice because a lot of people bought into the system
and need to be weaned off entitlements. I think many of the programs I selected are nothing but slush funds. I'm against the welfare state too but it wasn't a awful long time ago when I still thought SS was helpful and our government was concerned about our well being. ROFL!
DENY CONSENT
I'd be interested in knowing
I'd be interested in knowing the savings from cutting this set of programs.
Just cutting railroad "sequesterable" millions = $2 billion
Just cutting the railroad "sequesterable" millions, near $2 billion is lopped off. That is lopping off the 5%"sequesterable" funds that even the government admits they can do without.
Editor's note: Sequesterable in government publications means exactly what government wants it to mean.
