Get a Horn that Plays "DIXIE" for your black jeep.
Hit the Horn each time you come and go from home!
Send them a little note saying, 1. they can MOVE, or 2. seek Counciling.
Either way, you're not the one with the problem.
Here's what I would do:
If you know who sent it, send them back a letter explaining why you believe in the importance of the second amendments and liberty.
If you don't know who sent it, I would send out a letter to the community door to door explaining how constitutional rights are being threatened etc.
That way you probably will get the message accross about what you believe in essentially, which is liberty.
Since revolutions and civil wars involve much interpersonal
violence, you know who to watch out for when the SHTF, and violence breaks out.
Liberty isn't given to us; it is taken by us, and if not, we will not have it.
Probably not a Christian
Tyrants like hiding behind titles to give them credibility. The ad hominem attack--hillbilly redneck--gave this person away.
I would ignore it, but be aware that authoritarians like to drum up mob behavior or lawsuits to hector others into bending to their will, so you may find out who the "Christian" is eventually.
What would I do?
Talk to the neighbor if they are willing.
Be reasonable and logical.
Be nice, even if they aren't.
Invite them to go shooting (Ignorance is their problem, this may correct it).
Take the High road - I won't lower myself to any poor arguments.
Be ready for them to not talk, or to not be reasonable. That's their choice.
Use correct grammar and sentence structure (although they may not notice).
That's what I would do. But then, that's because I'm a follower of Christ.
Where is the Thread Starter?
I noticed the thread starter as not made a single response to any of the 3 pages of responses to her post what gives? Is this a troll post? Several questions have been asked of the thread starter and still no response.

I saw this report on CNN this morning. This clip does not include the part where they reported grief counselors were brought in for the other students.

Have to add...on my mind...cooler head:
My Jesus gave two commandments we are to live by as His followers:
1. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and body.
2. Love your neighbor as yourself.
Soooo...when your neighbor has a home invasion - intervene if you can and defend him/her with your gun...juat as you would yourself.
That's Christian behavior...
And would probably end any further letter writing and ugly name-calling which is not Christian behavior.
In the mean-time pray for him/her (and still ignore the letter).

could just be a troll trying to stir things up. Best off ignoring it.
Part of me....
....would say plop a sign in your lawn with this on it:
Dear Anonymous/Gutless Neighbor with no balls;
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”
― Samuel Adams
But that just might exacerbate the situation. :P

I would have chucked this in the trash as soon as I noticed that they used 'Comic Sans' font.
Hello Neighbor
You seem to be confused. I am not a red neck and you are not a good christian. I suggest you seek out a mental health clinic as you seem to be delusional and aggressive.
I pray you seek help and (a different church)God help you with your irrational thinking.
As a responsible law abiding neighbor I will pray for you and your deliverance from irrational thinking.

Luke 22, 36
Jesus instructed: If you have no implement of self defense (sword/gun..same thing) go sell some clothing in order to buy one !
The neighbor has a liberal poluted/diluted mind set. You are not likely to change them. Just don't stoop to their level. The fact that you are willing to advertise Jesus' advice on your bumper reveals you have obtained a more mature evangilism than your neighbor.Truth is percieved as hate to those who hate truth.
A patriot must always be prepared to defend his country from his government.
as a christian...
.... this kind of letter makes me puke a little in my mouth.

My Response
Dear "Loving Neighbor",
I would appreciate if you didn't make assumptions and judge me by my interests. It is probably not a good idea to teach your children to assume that all people who like guns and value the second amendment are "hillbilly lunatics". I thought Jesus taught tolerance, compassion, empathy, and understanding; not telling your neighbor how they should live.
Thanks for the concern and I hope you enjoy the new NRA pro gun sticker that I am ordering off of the internet as we speak. It will be awesome.
P.S. If your house gets robbed, I hope the police are quick to respond.
Thanks,
Your neighbor
I would answer with a letter:
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”

I hate guns.
They are cold, dark, hard, and unforgiving.
But that is the very reason that I love the fact that all my neighbors are gun-loving 'hill-billies'.
Leave him a note
promising that if thugs with guns come to your neighborhood, you will not use your gun against anyone who are breaking into that neighbor's house. That should make him feel better.
Post signs in your neighborhood
"This neighborhood is a gun free zone"
Quietly tuck it away
and go about your business (save in case you need it for evidence if a wrong is committed against you). Doesn't deserve any further attention.
What a disturbing comment to make, equating gun ownwership with lunacy, red-neck-hill-billy nuts, and not being a christian.
And cut the cr*p about the children...really, really getting OLD.
The law cannot make a wicked person virtuous…God’s grace alone can accomplish such a thing.

Here's What You Do
Make a sign for your front yard, big enough to catch everyone's attention.
The sign reads something to this effect:
To the so-called Christian neighbor who left me this letter:
[Attach Letter]
Would Jesus appreciate the cowardice you have shown by not insulting your neighbor and not identifying yourself?
I do not claim to know what Jesus thinks of you, but I do know that what you have done is not the act of a concerned neighbor but of a coward who wants to force his will upon others.
Come speak with me. You have an opportunity to redeem yourself in my eyes. Perhaps you might redeem yourself in the eyes of Jesus as well.
To a safe Christian commmunity,
Your Name Here
I would make sure that this persons opinion was made public
by contacting the local news outlet. Remind them that you are a law abiding citizen and feel that you have as much right to own your guns as she does to have an opinion to the contrary, and find it interesting that though your firearms have never presented this person with any danger whatsoever, the propaganda against the law abiding is certainly working with the close minded and uneducated.
If the news media or paper decides to interview this individual it will certainly make the case for gun owners because the one thing I have found with these people are their ineptness to admit when they are wrong, to a point of making themselves look ignorant. While the anti gunners in media sit and wait for someone to make a comment they can spin to their favor, this anti gun nut given the camera time would certainly make a fool of herself and show how ignorant people are towards the law abiding. Above all else always remain calm and let the anti gunner go nuts showing their true colors.
In the end statement I would make it clear that you are accepting of people who do not want to own guns, and would never consider forcing them to own one, and note how it appears just the opposite when individuals attack you for your beliefs that have nothing to do with them yet they attack you with put downs and act as simpletons to get their points across.

I would put up a sign in my front yard
"Would the person who left the note on my car please come over for coffee and discussion?"
If they didn't have the courage to meet you face-to-face like a neighbor, and discuss, then I'd just ignore them.
