go ahead and right your nasty letter...

to get it off your chest, then burn it and sit down and right a thought out respectful version to give him.

What is disrespectful? I asked a logical question.

Your description of my letter is "nasty" says more about you than me.

I think what he's saying is...

...write out a letter where you get your anger off your chest but *don't* send that letter. Just write it to make yourself feel better. Then sit there and write a letter that you will actually deliver to your neighbor that contains a well thought out response to his/her concerns.

Great answer

but I would go ahead and spell "neighbor" correctly.
Haha - it can't be fixed now, Bob! ;)

Love or fear? Chose again with every breath.

That's OK. My heart is in the right place, Fishy...

What about yours?

That was meant to be a playful jest

I know you are a very good writer, and was "picking" on you by bumping your reply because your answer was good.
My heart is fine, and so is my sense of humor. Hope your recovers soon!

Love or fear? Chose again with every breath.

respond with the following

I see you claim to be a Christian or if not at least chose to live in a Christian neighborhood thinking Jesus advocated absolute pacifism.

Well then let me tell you a little something about Jesus. He wasn't a pacifist. He chose to pick up a whip and beat money changers with it while tipping over their tables.

He also advocated for self defense and probably would have been an NRA or GOA member if he was alive today.

Why else would he have stated in Luke 22:35-38 "Then Jesus asked them, 'When I sent you without purse, bag or sandals, did you lack anything?' 'Nothing,' they answered. He said to them, 'But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one. It is written: `And he was numbered with the transgressors' ; and I tell you that this must be fulfilled in me. Yes, what is written about me is reaching its fulfillment.' The disciples said, 'See, Lord, here are two swords.' 'That is enough,' he replied."

However, if I should ever see someone breaking into your home or assaulting or raping your wife and children per your wishes I will not come to your aid or theirs with a gun drawn as it might scare you or your family.

i'd go with a gun owners of

i'd go with a gun owners of america sticker to second the n.r.a.

I'd ignore it...

I won't sink to there level.

don't ignore it. you need to

don't ignore it. you need to go up to your neighbors, and into your town and show them what they sent to you. you need to make a big deal of this. send this to infowars at least. whatever town you are in, you need attention. you need to get people in a debate. tell them what states are passing or trying to pass gun laws this moment. can i count them?

california, new york, illinois, colorado, washington, maryland, any other ones?? i can't think of them right now.

Ignore it. Never take anyone

Ignore it. Never take anyone seriously who doesn't have the guts to have such a conversation face to face.

Don't alter your life in anyway because of them. Putting up more stickers or taking them down only legitimizes their actions.

put more nra and goa stickers up

Place a big ol banner across your property declaring your 'god' given right to protect yourself from lunatics that didn't prepare and voted for people who are destroying this country. Then follow that up with a sarcastic

If they were a true christian

If they were a true christian than they would know that bearing arms is an unalienable right, given to us by GOD.

Replace the bumper sticker!

Have one made that says, "Thank thee oh God for the divine right you have bestowed upon me, to keep and bear arms"
Or
Psalm 23 paraphrased :"Fear no evil; for Thou art with me; Thy AK47 and Thy Glock, they comfort me".

i would have to laugh my

i would have to laugh my kitten head off at that person first. then i'd ignore them.

Is this real?

It's hard to believe that this is a real letter. There are people that hold these beliefs to be sure. But after the thoughts are put to paper the faulty thinking becomes clear. I think this was just typed up to make a point.

"Setting a good example is a far better way to spread ideals than through force of arms."

Actually I would guess it is

Actually I would guess it is nothing more than a political flyer given out in all neighborhoods.

There are folks...

in this area, Portland,OR. METRO area, that have Gun Free Zone stickers on their house.

IT is on the glass pane next to their front door...

Unfreakin' believable. Three generations of World Govt. public schools have been highly effective.

Liberty = Responsibility

Maybe just send it to the NRA

See what they can do about it. Maybe you can ask the NRA to send everyone in your neighborhood a credit for a free gun safety and licensing workshop.

Add a gun rack to the back window of your jeep and load it up!

The fact that it is an

The fact that it is an anonymous letter makes him/her a coward. The fact that he/she resorts to personal insults ie"Lunatic", "redneck hillbilly nut" to protest your right to exist makes him/her quite savage in their approach and thinking. The fact that this neighbor (if indeed it is a neighbor) invokes "guidance from God" as his/her basis to attack your rights is in itself anti-Christian behavior.

Exactly. I would seriously

Exactly. I would seriously suggest putting up a yard sign or something that would read "To the neighbour who posted a letter through my door calling me a 'lunatic' and 'redneck hillbilly nut' for supporting the second amendment, I would be more than happy to invite you in for a drink and debate about the subject. If not, please refrain from anonymously insulting me."

Or something shorter.

Politely tell your neighbor you respect his right to move to an

unarmed neighborhood. Or to put up a sign on his lawn that says "no guns in this house".

... Man people sure are dumb as hell.

O, maybe tell your neighbor that his car, any bicycles, containers of water (swimming pools and tubs), and his knives/scissors are far FAR more likely to kill or injure his kids than your guns. In fact, his kids are more likely to be hurt or killed by abuse then your guns.

Boom.
