Warning: Indiana State Senate Votes for Constitutional Convention Urgent!

This is a clarion call to all liberty community members. We need to urge our Indiana resident/citizens to oppose the Constitutional Convention or Article V Convention. Once Indiana calls for a Constitutional Convention that is it. Two states have rescinded their constitutional convention calls in the past, but these rescinds could easily be challenged in Federal court.

This must be halted in the Indiana State House Committee or on the Indiana State House floor. If it gets to newly elected Indiana Governor Pence desk it shall be too late. Indiana will be the 34th state to official pass legislation asking for an Article V Convention. It does not take thirty eight individual states to call for Constitutional convention, but merely thirty four.

A Con Con

is the most dangerous thing that could happen. The Constitution would be gone in a day. Stop believinn that the enemies of the Constituion are not lying about it's intentions.

A Article V Con Con cannot be restricted to any subject. The Entire US Constition can be scrapped. Think the 2nd Amendment would survive the deliberations?

Wake up, this is extremely dangerous, and must be stopped, of the libery movement is dead, as there would be no more libery at all.
State Con Cons are the "bottom up" attack on the Constituion.

“We are witnessing an outbreak of shortsighted nationalism that seems oblivious to the economic, political and moral implications of interdependence.… The ‘house of world order’ will have to be built from the bottom up rather than from the top down…, an end run around national sovereignty, eroding it piece by piece, will accomplish much more than the old-fashioned frontal assault…”

This is a good thing

The Constitution is an amazing document, but no one follows it anymore. It needs to be CLARIFIED so that the Supreme Court and Congress cannot legislate from the bench.

The States have not had representation in Congress since the 17th amendment was passed in 1912. The Federal Reserve, Income Tax, and Popular vote of senators happened all around the same time. Since then, our country has been eroded and slowly destroyed. STATES MUST BE REPRESENTED. A Constitutional Convention is the only way for that to happen right now.

3/4 votes of states are REQUIRED to pass any changes or amendments to the Constitution, which can only be beneficial to us. States will always vote to LIMIT federal power and not expand it.

THIS IS A GOOD THING.

Wait..

They are calling for this because of federal government overreach and want to restore more states rights.... how is this a bad thing????

"INDIANAPOLIS | Frustrated by what they perceive as federal government overreach on taxes and regulation, the Republican-controlled Indiana Senate on Tuesday approved three measures calling for a limited U.S. constitutional convention."

I was at the Rally for the Republic cheering on the JBS guy

I was at the Rally for the Republic cheering on the JBS guy who was anti-ConCon. But I have to say I have since changed my position. (and yes I know ALL the JBS stuff about this) I support this now for the following reasons:

1) if some nefarious group who has been planing on taking over the country wants to re-write our founding document I say LET THEM STEP UP and present what they have so that we can at least see what the heck they have up their sleeves. Show their cards so that we can stop theorizing.

2) most people do not even know what The Constitution says and if they do there are areas of the document that consistently require teams of lawyers to interpret it. Why not do what Switzerland does? The Confederation Helvetica has been around a lot longer than the US precisely because they insist on the re-writing of their Constitution with the intent that the average citizen can look at it an know what it says and understand it - hence less legal BS.

3) the states have to ratify it anyway. So even if there is a ConCon and it actually produces something the states have to approve it.

I'm pro this at this point. But I'm not going to march around and rally for it. If THE PEOPLE are motivated to follow the Constitution and actually do this I'd support it.

Word.

And to your point #1, the moment such a group reveals itself will be the same moment I begin my life as nothing less than an assassin of the enemies of Liberty.

(This is--and always has been--a war, after all....)

What would the Founders do?

you know what?

I am almost indifferent about it at this point.

1. Let it happen because it is part of our process and is constitutional.

2. Let it happen so that FULL TYRANNY can be implimented and maybe the sheep will wake up.

3. Do not allow it to happen because the Constitution is dead.

4. Do not allow it to happen in order to prevent our last remaining right to be stripped.

Basically, let it happen ans lets get the effing show on the road. Lets expose the basterds and prep the fire squads, gillotines and gallows.

Damn well Said

Come and take it !!!

Don't Give me Liberty, I'll get up and get it myself!

Here, here.

I'm on board with this. We see the law broken every day by people who make the law, yet, they walk free. From the LAPD to the White House, I've had enough.

I don't understand how we can't even get 10,000 to march on a state capital.

If you don't know your rights, you don't have any.

Yes Agree

This is very very bad. Those who dont have a problem with it arent thinking this through. The Con Con would codify the welfare state. The reps to the Con Con wouldnt be liberty activists, they would be like Chuck Schumer from NY.....It would be very very bad and must be opposed

I don't have a problem with

I don't have a problem with it. It's all constitutional, and completely circumvents the federal government. It's all going to fall apart anyway so we might as well help it along. The sooner this nation splits up the soon there will be liberty.

rethink your position

You need to rethink your position a bit more.

some of the best information out there on why we should oppose a Con-Con is here:

Read it. So basically the

Read it. So basically the John Birch Society believes we should sit and take it or declare our independence - that really worked out well in the 1860s..

con-con..

..is coming. they've been prepping for it for a long time now. only organization touching that one is John Birch Society.

constitution?

What constitution?

The problem I see here

is people who do not agree with most of the constitution trying to get their things put up for a vote, and knowing how politicians vote (read it after you pass it types) it could get dangerous. We can end up with a whole new system of govt, heck a govt where it is stipulated that the executive is the supreme law of the land. Unlikely because 3/4 of the states would have to vote in favor, but the odds are still there.

It would be more successful if the states who are tired of the feds meddling in their business just stopped enforcing their laws, and having the sheriffs bar all federal officials from "conducting business" in their counties.
