Should the United States be split up?

There is obviously a divide in this country, in more than one way. I've been very doubtful that voting will fix our issues. I'd love for our people to be elected, but even if they are, can we fix this mess we've created? At some point, should we just admit that separating into 2, maybe 3 countries, is ultimately what is best for the United States. Forty percent of this nation is sold on socialism. Forty percent is sold on militarism. Eighteen percent is busy with American Idol. And that leaves the other 2%, searching for John Galt.
I love this country, but like a bad marriage, sometimes its just best to go your separate ways. If 100 million Americans want to be socialists, I could spare a few states for them to experiment with it. I just don't want that failure to be linked to my future.

According to the

Globalists that is in the script so it will happen when they are ready for it. There are maps on the internet that shows how it will be divided.

If they want us divided then I say no to your question.

"We can see with our eyes, hear with our ears and feel with our touch, but we understand with our hearts."

Sure. NYC and DC vs. the rest!

But seriouslyl, I don't see the country as divided as most do. I see different groups trying to get to the same place from different paths. Pretty much everyone wants the same end results. They just have different ideas of how that can happen. What we have to do is coalesce those onto the same solution.

I'm 100% convinced that if we solved the money issue, ALL the rest of the problems would go away.

A richer middle class would never blindly cowtow their political leadership to lobbyists. A less struggling poor class would not even compromise that many liberties if they could earn a living from a pool of plentiful jobs. The rich would not be able to wield as much power without light getting shed on their actions. Even welfare recipients would prefer assistance from local charities rather than incompetent government lackeys. Obviously biased media would more easily be exposed and people would not be as tied to the cheapest product so the power of the boycott would regain it's rightful place in society.

We just need to make the free market work again and show by example how that gives the workers back their power to have companies compete for their skills. This is NOT as hard as it sounds, but it does have to start somewhere.

How much would it cost?

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

No real market for prices.....

What little market we have suggest it will be expensive, the last time it cost us 680,000 lives, and we got beat !

Split up ?

This implies force. To be split up sounds like something is forcing us to split. To answer your question, NO
Should we split up, voluntarily ? No, in my view.

Why split if the States get their sovereignty back and the nations or at least local economies can use real money ?

Local sovereignty is the first step.

tru dat

But how likely is it that states will get their sovereingty back? I just don't think that at this point, the masses will really understand the value of localism to the point that states' rights down to local rights will really take center stage.

Free market capitalism isn't right for America because it works better. It's right because it's free (and it works better).

Not likely......

Here is the thing, if we start working locally for a just and sustainable life we are several steps ahead of the blind worshipers of State. In the event we gain our State sovereignty the local foundation can then lead. If we lose the State we may very well be faced with a bad form of anarchy that, again, we will be in a position to have the foundation to lead.

My point, no matter what, we need to restore liberty one local at a time.

We need coalitions, locally, with anarchist, liberals, conservatives and any other that may wake up when the SHTF.......

SHOULD it be split up?

Whether it should or should not be is up for debate. What should NOT be up for debate is whether states or localities should be allowed to split.

OF COURSE they should!!

NOT indivisible!

If we were better at keeping our government local, we wouldn't be at the point where we would need to consider it. But we are at this point, and I don't think the federal government would ever really back off to the point that state governments could operate in the fashion they want.

Free market capitalism isn't right for America because it works better. It's right because it's free (and it works better).

Tough issue

It takes a unified community that is self sufficient to reject bad laws. If locals cant or wont unify the central authority rambles on.

Us and them.....Its not them, its us. We, the people, tolerate it and wont unify at the local level so we keep giving ground. Currently the feds have communities under their thumb with this bad economy. If the locals dont seek federal monies they suffer. When the locals suffer they vote out their leadership and bring in ones who seek the federal teet.

Is it the federal monster that prints dollars or is it the locals who capitulate their lives for it ?

Freedom is an animated conquest....
