Is the right to firearms really essential? Doctor and Congressman Ron Paul reminds us that freedom to defend yourself is natural and proper.
** Well... except for the "the 2nd Amendment gives us that right" portion, which we all know that Dr. Paul understands the nuances of Bill of Rights (it doesn't 'give' or grant ANYTHING, as testified in his numerous subsequent public videos, it merely codifies and guarantees pre-existent innate natural rights), it's a sweet little ad!

When debating the second amendment, one must go no further until a single, important question is asked, and after that, the conversation should cease to exist. That question is "Is the Bill of Rights a list of privileges given to the people from government? Or is it a list of rights that have been handed down to us from God?" Because, if they are privileges, then they can be had up for discussion and amended. However, if they are our rights, we own those rights and nobody has any business even discussing what I own. You don't get to utter a word about what my rights should be and what they should not be. They are my rights, period. Discussion over.

it's probably a Semi-Auto only AR15, in either 20" or 22" barrel length.
But hey, who knows? maybe Dr. Paul is an NFA Class III M16A2 20" owner.
Well, if that is his own personal rifle, there goes Doc's coy answer to a recent Alex Jones Show interview [around 24min mark] where AJ asked RP on whether he would turn his semi-auto in if he were 'ordered to' by the dictator puppet oBUSHma, the Doc, in a sweet and sheepish answer retorted: "well...uh... I might not have ANY semi-auto TO turn in, for that purpose..."
I laughed so hard the first time I heard it, thinking to myself, 'you tell 'em doc! WhyTF would any Constitutionalist or 'prepper' ever advertise what he has in his own 'arsenal'!'
But considering the fact that the ad is from 1989, it may have been in a direct response to the January 1989 "Stockton schoolyard massacre", the politically expedient event that gave rise to the collectivist, statist commies and their "assault weapons ban" craze. (Though, the assailant used AK's not AR in that tragedy)

The video is a little sad, he looks less worn down and defeated back then, its sad that no one ever listened to him, hes been saying the same truthful things during his whole public service. Most consistent politician in recent american history.
