In a debate with a best friend of 15 yrs about Anwar al-Aulaqi.

I have a very dear friend of many many years who is very intelligent but refuses to see the light.

We are debating the legality of assassinating American citizens without trial, even though they are apart of a terrorist organization.

He says because he left the county, he no longer gets afforded the right of a trial.

Also, he doesn't believe that we created alqueda

Can I get a hand?

"He's this eccentric Ghandi-Like figure that you cant touch with the normal bribes that people respond to."
the man Doug Wead on DR. RON PAUL

First of all it doesn't

First of all it doesn't really matter if he is a citizen or not. "All men are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights..." Does the government have the authority to kill the rest of the world simply because they are not citizens?

Second, just leaving the country does not imply giving up citizenship, neither does stating you are no longer a citizen. By law there is a process for relinquishing citizenship.

Al Awlaki was a US Citizen at the time of his death. There is no evidence that he gave up his citizenship by joining a foreign army or otherwise, there are only claims. These claims have to be substantiated in court.

Even these standards are scary when considered within the context of what is happening today. Look at (7) and think about how that fits with the whole 2nd amendment thing going on.

Thanks guys!! I'm at work and

Thanks guys!!

I'm at work and most of the sites are blocked.... they don't know what this one is yet

A good place to start

Ask him to read this article, and then ask himself if this is not in fact the sorrow that he expected to hear from the Muslim community, but was seldom talked about.

I think since this man's country will not provide the reason why they assassinated him and his 16 yr old son (separately), we can at least as individuals see what he had to say publicly.

AND for people that only believe the main stream, National Geographic should be as reputable a source as any.

In case that doesn't do it, ask why this threatening man was invited to the pentagon after 911 according to Fox http://www.foxnews.com/us/2010/10/20/al-qaeda-terror-leader-...

Don't forget his son's friend

In addition to Al-Awlaki's son, his son's friend - who was also an American citizen and was also under 18 - was also killed.

These sites are not blocked

I assure you. And I might add, they will be the most credible for your mainstream friend

The US creating Al Qaeda is unquestionable

We funded, trained, and provided weapons for the Mujahideen. This was an attempt to fight off forces in the Middle East without the US actually being involved.

The members of the Mujahideen eventually all quit and joined Al Qaeda - bringing with them everything we had originally provided to the Mujahideen, including knowledge and skills.

ACinMA's picture

Kinda hurts

using a link with hilary clinton, but she talks about it here.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dqn0bm4E9yw

Ben Swann uses a different clip of her saying the same thing in this report around the 2:00 mark http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oohRA1d_8M

Fall River, Bristol County, Massachusetts

"When one gets in bed with government,
one must expect the diseases it spreads."
‎"It's not like I'm a powerful person. My ideas are."

Does anyone have any good

Does anyone have any good links for this info....especially about we creating alqeada

Just do a search for Zbigniew Brzezinski. He is a Polish jew who has been screwing with our foreign policies since Johnson!! He was in Afghanistan in the late 70s in an effort to coagulate the Mujahadeen tribes to fight the Russian army. The CIA armed them, trained them and called them al Qaida...this was all under the plan of Zbiniew.
Charming man...CFR, TriLateral, etc...

Says "No person," not "No citizen."

“When a well-packaged web of lies has been sold gradually to the masses over generations, the truth will seem utterly preposterous and its speaker a raving lunatic.” – Dresden James

I have a friend whom I always believed was intelligent--

who refuses to wake up or see the light. I've tried. I've done it patiently and kindly and with documentation.

It hasn't worked. I wish you well.

Some people do not want to wake up--

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--
