Formula for WINNING before FEB 5

0 votes

I've noticed that Ron Paul will be spending some time in Louisiana soon. Then of course the debate in FL. I'm not quite sure of this formula......I've posted several times about the time and money and effort absolutly wasted in SC when that energy should have been spent getting more votes and more organization in NV......I mean Paul could have WON NV with a bit more organization and time there. I know many of you are happy with 2nd place.......but look at what it took just to get over 6,000 votes there. McCain didn't spend 1 dollar or visit there and Paul barely beat him. Consequently Ron Paul is not going to WIN FL or get 2nd in FL or get 3rd in FL no matter how much time and money he spends there........let the blimp and the grassroots handle it. He wasted opening up 3 offices in SC compared to just 2 offices in NV......where is the logic in this? Now for all of you here that react emotionally and consider Ron Paul to be a God like figure please understand that I completly support him........I just want him to actually WIN this thing. How can he get a WIN before FEB 5? He SHOULD spend ALL of his time and energy and some money and lots of organization from this point until 11 days from now and WIN......come in 1st.......in the state of MAINE!!! This formula in my opinion would assure us of a WIN.........think about that.......how nice would that be? At this point I don't care how much smaller Maine is than Florida.......what I care about is doing something that is actually realisticly FEASIBLE.......I've emailed the Paul campaign about this.........and of course, who am I? They are the professionals right? If that's so then explain the absolute butt whipping that happened in SC after the BLIMP, grassroots, 3 offices, Ron Paul visits.......THINK PEOPLE THINK! Please email the campaign.

yes maine

but also he needs a very effective ad he can use all over the country, and not just a 30 second spot either. a full minute will be much more effective.those ads i saw that harry brown had in 2000 were brilliant. we need effective ads like that.

That is why HQ needs

a web page Just for Us.

They need to post up PROPOSED expenses and activities....and we need to vote up or down on it, even propose expenses and activities ourselves.

This would complete the information FEEDBACK LOOP that is so desparately needed.

HQ may be surprised when they learn that those in the grass roots are not for spending a dime in SC, but spending 4,000,000 and 9,000 of TV advertizing in NEVADA.... they may be shocked to learn what we collectively think.

No doubt, right now they "think" they are listening, but that is FAR from what I am suggesting here.

I am suggestion a way for us to communicate BACK to the HQ campaign. Just like we communicate with DONATIONS, we need to be able to communicate back with EXPENSES.

They of course can take our votes and suggestions to heart, or not, .... but at least we will be heard.

If you like this idea, copy it, make it your own suggestion for a Grass Roots Proposed HQ Expenses FEEDBACK web page.

Thanks,

blah blah blah... Ron Paul

blah blah blah... Ron Paul has come this far. I think we should just get out there and do what we can and trust the campaign to do what they think is best. Mistakes will be made on both sides to be sure....

I added a Proud Supporter of Ron Paul button to my homeschool "McGuffey" site!

Blah

"When we make a mistake........ um, any idea who said that? Ron Paul. He needs to take his own advice and CORRECT the problem, not continue making the SAME campaign mistakes........like wasting time and money in SC. There is NO WAY Ron Paul has a chance in winning, coming in 2nd, coming in 3rd, OR coming in 4th.....in FL. So, why waste HIS personal time there? Why? Isn't that time LOST in MAINE? And by the way.......we ARE getting out there. This post isn't suggesting that the grassroots give up on FL. Rather Ron Paul change his tactics and CORRECT THE MISTAKE as he said.

baubaublacksheep

Good point.

It would be psychologically uplifting for the supporters to have a win, and just as psychologically confusing to the media and other campaigns. Doing the unexpected is usually more effective than doing the expected.

One thing I would like to

One thing I would like to see is a little freshness.

Please do not flame me on this, it is just my opinion.

We all know Ron Paul has been saying and doing the same thing for 30 years but a little spice on the tounge wouldn't hurt at this point.

I would like to see Ron Paul take his message and give it a little fresh jazz.

Same message just different wording as he almost could be a robot talking atm.

any Ideas?

Yes Yes Yes

Dr. Paul needs to get a bit more "salty"....esp in the next debate. The next time Rudy "cackles" while he is trying to speak he needs to call him out on it and tell Rudy to use some manners and tact and show some respect. He needs to challenge McCain on his principles and ask him directly if he had principles BEFORE he got to Washington? or AFTER he got to Washington? Which is it John? After all wasn't it you that said you came to Washington to change Washington and Washington change you? And to Mr. Romney he needs to ask him directly if he still thinks that people should not vote for him because he is a Mormon and then ask him if he still thinks Mormons shouldn't vote for him based on him being a mormon. Then ask him who is busing in the Mormons to the polls in the west and how can it be that over 11,000 Mormons voted for him in NV. Which is it Mitt? Mitt, you want to use your religon when it benifits you but when it doesn't you don't think it's fair, right Mitt? Live by the sword, Die by the sword. Can't have it both ways sir. Then ask Huckabee using his own quotes why he changes his message depending on where in the country he is.........Mike, isn't God the same in Iowa as he is in NH and SC? I totally agree with your post...........let em have it Ron!!!

baubaublacksheep

Have to agree

Got tired and frustrated and decided to sign up as a precint leader and go canvassing - I almost fainted on the first doorbell I rang out of nervousness, but 5 doors later I was not nervous any more - it was nice to meet the neighbors and found that most were receptive - I also identified 3 Paul supporters that I plan on calling on Feb 5th to make sure they make it to the polls....

no amount of DP post is going to help the Dr. win.....get out there....I'm going soon to catch the before church crowd with my ron paul sign.... are you?

You're the answer!

Awesome! Way to go! People like you, who will get up and do the things that they really are uncomfortable doing----like knocking on doors canvassing, are why we will win. Most people are only talk, like, sad to say, most of Ron Paul's student supporters. But people like you that will get out of their comfort zone are what will change this country.

I'm a precinct captain

here in INDIANA........I've no doubt that I can bring a lot of votes in my area and my surrounding area. However, IN is a ways down the road....I hope Paul is still viable by then......If he is he will get pleny of support where I'm at. As far as posting here and it doing no good for the campaign I have to disagree. When people go searching on the net about candidates or if someone has told them about Paul........you have no idea how many people view this site and read our posts. Who knows how many votes this site has earned Paul. I would say the DailyPaul is pulling it's share.

baubaublacksheep

I think this is a no-brainer

Maine is our best shot at a win. Dr. Paul is headed for a poor 5th place in Florida.

There is WISDOM in your post.

Here's how I see it: A non-traditional candidate needs non-traditional tactics. WIN Maine, forget Florida. Then move on to California where the delegate awarding system might favor RP.

h-daddy

Thank You

He's got to do something. He's already non traditional in that he's honest and actually puts his job and his responsibilities to himself, his family, and his country above anything else. Now that is non traditional. Ron.........let's win this thing. Ron Paul campaign........wise UP!!!

baubaublacksheep

My son lives in Maine, and I lived there

for 20 years. With a smart campaign he could take the state. Hell, he could have won NH if the official campaign hadn't been so amatuer!

Maine is ripe and ready to be picked!

h-daddy

Formula for winning.

You are EQUATING RP internet support with the support with his support in general population. Most of the people don't even know that he is running! His support between senior citizens is dismal (I ought to know I am 70). Mass media is bamboozing everybody to pick a "winner" and "electable" candidate. The issues are almost not discussed.
Unless grass-roots volunteers (and campaign) will be able to do more canvassing and FLOOD COMING UP PRIMARY STATES WITH RP SLIM JIMS WE ARE DOOMED. WE NEED SOME FIRST PLACES !!!!

GET Ron Paul Slim Jims ($5/100 $8/200) from his web site, download PDF of SlimJims & print them. Get additional printable materials at http://www.manofcommonsen...
and LEAVE them at post offices, supermarkets, malls, ATMs, barbers, give them with tip in restaurants, give them to WALL MART employees, pin them on community boards, leave them in waiting room at dealerships

Our Campaign doesn't have the elitist

Ron's campaign doesn't have the elitist that own the media, nor does he get the attention from the media he deserves when he does better than the rest.

We have the disadvantage there.

We've done great IMO, considering the odds were up against.
These enemies of liberty aren't going to give up their "master" status without a fight.
Believe me they are going to cheat and play dirty as we have seen so far, before they play by the rules.

We're at a HUGE

disadvantage which is why I think the Paul campaign needs to OUT WIT the competition. That's why he should forego FL and let the grassroots handle it there.........do you know how expensive it is to run ads and campaign in FL? Lots of money wasted for a no better than 4th place finish.........when he could spend that money and energy and organization in MAINE!!! WIN MAINE! WIN MAINE! WIN MAINE!

baubaublacksheep

LA to FL to ME

That' what I think RP will do.

You're probably right....

but if he keeps going where McCain, Romney, Huckabee, Fred, and now Rudy are going.........then he's going to continue getting the very same results. I think he needs to go where they are not going......step ahead of them and around them and gain support, delegates, and state WINS.

baubaublacksheep

I figured, even if he does not win in FL, or placed

decently, this is to tell the people that he is still around and has managed to kick some major butts despite media blackout. It's a plus for his exposure. He can conduct rallies in LA and address their concerns in the Katrina-affected counties first to small towns and then he can fly to ME and conduct several rallies there for two or three days concentrating on large counties first and then smaller ones.
