White House, Holder respond to Rand Paul: ‘The answer is no’

Attorney General Eric Holder wrote Sen. Rand Paul,R-Ky., to confirm that President Obama does not have the authority to kill an American on U.S. soil in a non-combat situation, Obama’s spokesman announced today.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney quoted from the letter that Holder sent to Paul today. “Does the president have the authority to use a weaponized drone to kill an American not engaged in combat on an American soil?” Holder wrote, per Carney. “The answer is no.”

Carney added that, “if the United States were under attack, there were an imminent threat,” the president has the authority to protect the country from that assault.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., criticized Paul for posing the question. “I find the question offensive,” he said on the Senate floor this morning.

Graham and McCain

I find these 2 men to be total jerks and I really think McCain has mental issues brought on from being a POW.America will be much better off when these war lovers are long gone!

Rand did a good job and I am

Rand did a good job and I am glad he did however having said that this response is meaningless. Obama holder and the Administration are liars they have lied about everything and they are lying about this.

The Good thing about this is that now it is on record the people will be justified in bringing them to justice when they fire hell fire missiles on Americans on American soil. And mark my words they will!

They will justify it with a false flag attack on the government by some supposed patriot group and then America will be the battlefield.

Sorry but this is the way it is. We are way beyond politics here. This is to little to late we are still playing politics while they are massing for war against us...

Lets see, Drones, billions of bullets, thousands of guns, light armored tanks, military training in joint operations in cities with local police, pushing disarming of veterans and the people in general etc etc etc.

Great Post celeste

And it's interesting that more ado is being made about Graham's offense about the question than Holder's answer, "NO!" That's a huge relief.. and I think the next question becomes, "So why does taxpayers need to invest in drones when we need jobs and freedom to create jobs, not more taxes that stop business and jobs.

Great post!

I find Graham offensive

It seems the only time I hear

It seems the only time I hear Graham opening his hole is when he is defending the state.
