Justin Amash, Libertarian-Leaning Congressman, Rumored to Be Mulling 2014 Senate Run!

“People are asking him to look at it, and he hasn’t closed the door,” says a Republican operative familiar with Michigan politics. “If [incumbent Democrat Carl] Levin steps down, I think he’s going to run.”

Bump for a Senator Amash!

We are now to 13 votes up on this? Frankly, should be higher..

MUCH higher! Justin Amash has stood stalwart for our liberties. Give him some DP love (not to mention gratitude) for this!

Levin is gone, please get on

Levin is gone, please get on Mlive and show support for Amash. My fellow michiganders are not so intelligent.

after all Amash has done

this has 5 up votes.....sad.

He has been a STELLAR representative for Michigan. I would love to have him as one of my senators. Levin needs to be gone!

It wouldn't be an easy win by any means though. Levin had a big part in NDAA and you know Amash's principles would be a financial burden when you see the sponsors Levin carries. Also, our governor is really pushing a hard Rep. agenda and it has pissed off a lot of people.

It's time! Rand Paul 2016!

A question

The crazy thing is, I think he would actually have a chance. But if he didn't win, doesn't he forfeit his House seat by running for the Senate? I know a person can go for the presidency and Congress but what about a House and Senate run concurrently? Pardon my ignorance.

he sure would

win in a land slide!

Why is this not ON FIRE??
