Yesterday was the first day I listened to him , in order to hear the Rand interview. Jack Hunter just tipped me off that Rush is still defending Rand against the old guard. He is allowing "our" people to call in.
The world is upside down.

Edit: I dislike Rush as much as the next guy. But the fact that people on here literally say they would rather people not get the message at all than for them to find out about it from X, Y, or Z is mind blowing. It's almost as if you don't want the movement to grow, insane.

Maybe Rush "woke up". I know I know...not likely. But I'm confused at all the support Rand is getting from the likes of the Fox News Republicans. Is it possible we are experiencing a mass awakening.

Rush has 20 million listeners
at least he did 4 years ago when I used to listen to him. If he mentions Rand on his program in a positive light it can only be a good thing. Some may even do a web search on Rand, find the DP, and get some real truth on the government.

Look how well they marginalized/alienated/maligned the "God Father of the Tea Party" Ron Paul. Control the message and you control the movement. Rally behind Rand, get him on the ballot in 2016, don't allow them to separate your message from the movement again.

It seems the "Think tank sponsored, controlled opposition neocon talk radio propagandist demagogues" are actually starting to convince even the most skeptical of the electorate. Mainly, us....
Every other day now there are posts like "OMG Hannity is coming over to our side" because he mentioned the Constitution a couple of times (or 100 times) or, "OMG did you hear what LEVIN said today"? Because he was bashing Karl Rove......I'm telling you this is scripted. I can feel it in my bones- I've been an avid listener of neocon talk radio propagandists for the better part of the last decade and I can just smell it in the air they are setting something up for the future.
Don't think they just ad-lib everything they say, these guys are bought and paid for 100 times over. And no, not just from "ad-revenue". From government sponsored think tanks. They are the controlled opposition. And I've been slowly witnessing a shift here at the DP over to the dark side, mark my words, once they position themselves as the new "defenders of liberty and freedom" they will control the narrative, remember they've got a bigger pulpit than anyone else. You honestly think that kind of power is just going to be left alone unmolested?
They will fool a LOT of people, as they have already done. But they can't fool all of the people all of the time (isn't that a bob marley lyric?) Prepare to be backstabbed and Debra Medina'd in the future. And prepare for plenty of newspeak as well- it's going to get sad/interesting.

Why are you opposed to people
Why are you opposed to people discussing freedom? Liberals joined Rand, but we all know we certainly don't agree with them on most issues. Are they also "fooling" us? Or maybe, just maybe, it's GOOD to have ANYONE spread the word of freedom, as Ron Paul has been doing for 30 plus years.. Paul welcomed ANYONE who wanted to listen and help out, even if it was just on one issue..

Remember how the first "Tea Party" demonstrations were filled with Ron Paul supporters and libertarians, and then suddenly the mainstream got a hold of them and transformed them into Michele Bachman/ Sarah Palin/ FOX News fests???
Of course its great for the message to get out, but we should also stand vigilant that the message is not twisted, distorted, edited, or corrupted. Which is exactly what is about to happen if we let it.
We are "winning" in one sense, but as more people come into the flock there is always the opportunity for us (and the message of liberty) to get diluted. This is quite frankly plan B for statists:

I remember. We held a protest for the FIRST bank bailout - the Bush bailout. 8 of us showed up for that "Tea Party." Then The Official Boise Tea Party held their first event. As we were walking up, my husband just started shaking his head. Big stage, banners, set of speakers like a rock concert, mass produced literature... He just kept saying "Who paid for this? This is not us." And sure enough, at the State Central Committee meeting a year later, the Lt. Governor reassured all the county chairmen that the Tea Party had been taken over, they were no longer a problem. And a half dozen "Ron Paul" chairmen sat there and said nothing. I had a shit fit and left.

Its GREAT when people carry the message of freedom
But when you wield the kind of power these guy's do, and if you're gaining people's trust for sinister reasons- then it very well could turn out to be a bad thing. Remember, the narrative is mainly scripted. It isn't just a bunch of guy's who "magically" have the same opinion. And also happen to DOMINATE the A.M radio airwaves...
When you wield that kind of power, I am CERTAIN you get visited by "men in suits". This is the reason many people believe that Alex Jones has been compromised, because his audience got too big and now he's pretty much in bed with Drudge/WND. (Don't know if he's been compromised but I can appreciate the skepticism)
Take Glenn Beck for example. Literally since 2008-2009 the guy has been PREACHING almost ALL of Ron Paul's philosophy. At first I was like "Hell ya, he'll spread the message of freedom" And he does. But with a Twist. You see it's that "Twist" that "end game" they are trying to distract people from. They focus SOLELY on OBAMA, as if he's the reason for everything and the "Buck stops with him" But it doesn't. The President has very little power these days, the guy reads a speech prepared by someone else on a teleprompter, how disingenuous can you get? and as POTUS no less?
Brian, you are on just about every Glenn Beck post defending the guy. If you trust him and that is how you feel then knock yourself out. We can agree to disagree- but I trust them about as far as I can throw a refrigerator, Simply because I have listened and witnessed the "transition" over the years. And how they've hijacked the message without any shame whatsoever- all i can say is. Keep a watchful eye and look for the diversions cause there will be many. Peace.

Wasn't the point of Rand endorsing Romney, voting for sanctions, working with McConnell, etc. all part of his strategy to convince these "think tanks" that he was not his fathers son and that he was an acceptable "Republican"

And that's a tough one. I am not sure what Rand's motives are. Either he's completely sold out to the establishment and he's sorta a "bridge gapper" if you will- yet another wing (liberty wing) of the same corrupt bird, to misdirect people etc etc. Or he has some genius plan to infiltrate and then really shake things up. The latter is hard for me to believe, even though Ron Paul raised/groomed him. Simply because our Government and Shadow Government are so maniacal and corrupt, they would simply assassinate Rand if he had too much power and was going to use it to go after the Elite/central banks/MIC etc etc. And he's too smart to NOT know that....
So that's a tough one man. Time will tell i guess...

I have a "friend" on facebook named Gregory Hilton (yes, of that Hilton family) whose only "job" is (apparently) to shill for the neocon agenda. He is scratching and clawing trying to hang onto his previous positions ("We would never haven gotten that evil mastermind Anwar al-Awlaki and his evil 16 year old son without drones!"), even as the majority of his followers see the light and stand by Rand on this. It's truly amazing to see.

I heard this yesterday and today too
It was odd how he is spot on with, what I believe at least, rand is trying to do by incrementally shift the mindset of the average republican mindset. However, still using terms like isolationist when describing Ron. Yesterday he went on a tangent then about marriage of the old guard mindset....so, I think these guys are trying to be on the edge of the shift so they can 1. Still be relevant and 2. Say they saw this coming and were of this mindset "from the beginning stages" or something. But as the op stated, as long as there is a continued movement towards the liberty mindset that is the I important thing.
