Use them, but dont ever

Use them, but dont ever support them, not until the years have passed, and not a one thing done against liberty.

Liberty is humbeling, not out for attention for the sake of attention, liberty is that humbeling feeling when you give respect and support for the message of liberty, i give, and it gives back, through you guys and gals

John McCain declares the world a battlefield and Lindsay Graham announces if someone in the United States asks for a lawyer tell them to shut up.

I believe we need to get these two old coots to define just who is an enemy combatant. If associating with Al-Qaeda is part of the definition, our next question should be why are people in the United States government supporting the Muslim Brotherhood and Al-Qaeda (the "rebels") in Libya and Syria by sending them money we don't have and arms? If this is part of the definition of enemy combatant, or associated forces, wouldn't McCain, Graham, and any other government employee who aids and abets the enemy, be guilty of treason?

we need to get these two old coots LABELED as enemy combatants so they can see how they like it. we will just tell them to stfu when they ask for a trial or a lawyer.

I use Blue Wave, but don't expect one of THEIR silly taglines.

are you fkn kiddin me???

Rush is now trying to quasi-attach himself? This movement is ours and somebody better sure as fuck stand up and own it before this asshole claims it.

Or his friends...

Or anyone but us.

That's Why We Need To Rename The Movement

Naming The Movement

Daily Paul Liberty Forum

If it's at all possible I think we need to get out a catchy name for the movement. We can't call it "the tea party movement" because then the establishment will try to co-opt the movement. For example, didn't the media claim that Newt was the leader of the tea party (when it was obviously Ron). That's why I think it's critical that the movement have the word "Paul" in it. Could you imagine how idiotic it would be for the MSM to claim Newt (or any of the other shills like Rubio and/or Jeb) to claim that they're the leader of the "Ron Paul R3volution".

I almost wish Rand were named Ron Paul Jr. That way we could've stuck w/ "Ron Paul R3volution". To call it the "Rand Paul R3volution" would also be unfair to Ron, who is the true leader of the liberty movement. But again, I don't want to call it the "liberty movement".

Is the "Paul R3volution" catchy enough? Can we put our heads together and come up w/ something and try to get it to catch on in the mainstream?

Something playing off the word "filibuster" would also be a good choice by the way, since people will strongly associate Rand with it.

I dunno..

I like the Liberty movement. Its something that we will agree we are part of. Its also what I have called this movement of ours since I got involved nearly 6 years ago.

What we need is leadership. (IMHO)

How I wish Rand or Ron would sometimes speak directly to us. An exclusive, if you will. Maybe a short QnA with Nystrom or post a blog.

The name doesnt matter as much as the leadership does.

'Peace is a powerful message.' Ron Paul

although it is a bit of a slap in the face

This is in my opinion an amazing thing. The leadership that Rand is showing is something that we need and the republican party needs. There really hasn't been someone who was put out front and grabbing the reigns and leading.

I mean the other ppl who have been "trying" have been failing miserably. For one I still firmly believe (as I'm sure others probably still do here) that if Ron had been given the attention like what happened here with Rand he would have been sitting in the white house by now.

But like someone has said before, regardless of our past disagreements with ppl like Limbaugh as long as we have someone out front leading with our ideals. We can sway them our way. Especially because of the way things unfolded and the media caught the story. The left is scrambling now trying to figure out how to disenfranchise Rand and what he did for all of us.

I know that there might still be snags but this is such a big opportunity for the tide to turn in our favor. That's how it feels to me at least.

I love www.isidewith.com shared it with everyone I know. If anything they realize its not just a red and blue idiot running for reelection.

Not quite.

"...if Ron had been given the attention like what happened here with Rand he would have been sitting in the white house by now."

Of course he would have been! That's why he wasn't given any attention at all, except in the most negative way.

We are not going to sway Lambaugh or any other mouth piece for tptb "our way". They are paid shills who are doing their best to keep their jobs. Never, ever, forget: "If you can't whoop 'em, join them and then take control over them!" That's what this is about, my friend. That's what they are being paid to do, at the behest of their masters.

Obama "the architect" of this mess?

It goes deeper than Obama. Even Rand stated during the filibuster, that a Senator Obama would have been standing with him for an answer. Something happens once you get to the presidency. Something that corrupts you absolutely. This has been going on since before GW Bush.

Nothing happened to Obama

He was always a corrupt politician who lied for votes.

However, something happened to the people who voted for him in '08 -- they were hoodwinked and they know it, though many of them won't admit it.

Rand was wrong about it

Obama has been a turd since the day his mother shat him out.

Just Wanted to Let Them Know Who They're Dealing With

The GOP neo-cons declared war on the liberty movement and was on display for all to see at the national convention that nominated the little neo-con Romney.

One thing I hope the GOP learns is we don’t play nice either and could care less about putting a Dem like Obama in again for revenge purposes. Especially since there will be no Foreign, Monetary, or Trade Policy changes in either case. We were the deciding factor, they better get that strait and play nice with us.

Rush is afraid

He sounds like a man who knows what is coming, and wants to be on the winning side of history. Notice how he points out over and over how Washington has been turned upside down. And when has he ever talked about vaccines? (Not that I've listened for over 10 years...)

He sounds like he's afraid. Notice how he keeps talking about fear. He's projecting.

I'm glad you guys agree with me

He's like Gail Wynand for you Rand fans, only he's doing his about face out of fear rather than guilt.

These talk show neocons are ALL afraid

They have all been protecting the elites of both parties who are responsible for the 9/11 FALSE FLAG EVENT.

President Rand carries an implied 'independent 9/11 investigation around with him.

ALL of the libs and neocons WILL SWING when the independent investigation 'outs' them.

That fear is what guides everything they do and say.

And Declassification of JFK Documents

Though I'm sure the CIA will destroy anything they can and fight any president who tries to release these documents. At least while the perps are still alive.

Why in the world would Rush be afraid?

Rush is a billionaire positioned squarely in the bosom of the elite. That elite has a complete monopoly over all things influential. None of them are scared. That's ridiculous.

This is good.. and I know

This is good.. and I know exactly what Rush is... but its good.

Honestly, who cares what Rush

Honestly, who cares what Rush thinks now. He is part of the neocon problem. We should not even give this guy a minute of our attention.

They are losing and they know it.

Daily updates on Rush, Hannity, Beck, Levin, FOX. Nobody loves promoting the msm more than the alleged anti-MSM-ers here at the Daily Paul.

To Be Fair

I think it's important to understand what's going on in the establishment media as well. It still feels like a lot of the public follows that disinformation so we need to see how they're portraying the actions of guys like Ron and Rand. While I know Rush is a phony, I'd be thrilled if his audience started independently researching the issues that Rand talked about. Once the public at-large starts really seeing what's going on, maybe we'll finally get these bums (e.g. Graham, McCain, Schumer, etc) voted out and replace them with candidates who take seriously their oath to preserve, defend and uphold the constitution.

I'm sorry

I tried to listen, I really did. But after a few moments Rush's voice began to sound like feral cats having group sex outside my window, or something to that effect. Very unpleasant.

πολλα γαρ πταιομεν απαντες ει τις εν λογω ου πταιει ουτος τελειος ανηρ δυνατος χαλιναγωγησαι και ολον το σωμα

Twilight Zone Indeed!

This is a major deal. Much as I hate Rush this is really big. Rand gave them a way to finally start moving away from the whole neocon agenda (which they know has failed miserably) without losing face. Rush took it big time here. He was showing signs he wanted to move away from it when he started praising Ron Pauls economic plan. But Rand has given him the out he has been looking for to really make the transition.

When have we ever heard of Rush calling them neocons? He is a neocon himself and no he is distancing himself from them. Had he did that before his audience would have disowned him. Now that Rand has made the connection with the people as he pointed out he saw his opportunity to start making the transition and it in full swing here.

With him and hannity on board the stage is set for a major shift of the GOP base thinking (sadly that have that much influence). I am still cautious that it will happen as the establishment we know will not just roll over so we will see where it will go from here...

I expect some major attempt to discredit Rand somehow by the neocons so he needs to be real careful. He seems up to the task so far though.

Do you know what the con in conman means?

Confidence. It's not an election year. So, it's time to use truth to build trust. By the time the election comes around, the flock will be ripe for diversion. Truth is the trick. Nothing "Twilight Zoney" about that.

Upvoted your post

I think you hit the nail on the head. Not an election year so pretend that you've been part of this movement the whole time. When the next election rolls around, Rush will back an establishment candidate like Jeb Bush or Marco Rubio.

Even if he is using Rand for rating, for what is popular at the moment....isn't that better than nothing. If people are going to be persuaded by Rush and not look further into conservatism, we will never win.

But if the time he spends speaking about Rand's filibuster lead to people to looking into conservatism or libertarianism then that will help the movement.

It's not like 5 or even 10 years ago, when Rush says something that his audience wants to hear more about, they don't have to wait until the next commercial break. They can fire up the smart phones and research it themselves.

Ultimately, I think this is the only path forward to us libertarians. The most information, readily accessible in the hands of the most individuals.

If we have this, the message will spread.

"isn't that better than nothing."

Yeah about as good as a pimp using a whore and her thinking, at least i have a job.

Would you prefer she starve? Do you have a problem with pimps and their whores?

That's your logic? lol

You'd prefer to suck a dick rather than go the many other routes?

You people are a riot. Seriously, a riot. How many whores do you know that are respected by their pimps and not just used and tossed out, beaten, abused... how many?

What a brilliant bunch you are.. It's no wonder politicians consider the population too dumb to rule themselves. You just refuse to learn history's lessons.. both distant past and recent.

Well if you have a better

Well if you have a better idea then spit it out? It's one thing to criticize but how about giving a solution? Is it not better to take a few steps forward rather then sit on your hands and whine you are not getting everything you want right now? Seriously whats your plan? Wait another 20 years for the message to permeate enough sheeple minds to actually have some power to effect change?
