The best part
The best part of that movie "The Outlaw Josie Wells" was when he made the comment "Don't piss down my back and tell me its raining."
TMOT's gonna crash his car not looking at the road like that
just saying.
A 13 hour filibuster bringing bipartisan support for following the Constitution is a good thing. I figured you would love it ProudAmericanFirst.

I will not
advocate or accept killing innocent people, here or OVERSEAS without due process establishing guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. I will not advocate or accept imposing sanctions on a country who has not engaged war since the 1700's. Etc. Etc. Etc.

Politics is a game. I do not play games when it comes to human lives. I will vote my conscience.

Did you watch the filibuster? I listened to about 70% of it
and I didn't hear Rand Paul "advocate or accept killing innocent people, here or overseas without due process establishing guilt beyond a reasonable doubt". I'm pretty sure that Rand Paul was fighting for that very principle seeing as he talked quite a bit about it.
He brings up some important stuff I think you would like in this part.

Thanks, OldNo.7J.D.
Yes, I did see that. I missed parts here and there, but did manage to watch a lot of the filibuster. Throughout the speeches, I wish that I was there to nudge Rand into standing more firmly. I agree, he did a good job and people are now aware. But the people are still missing essential ground rules when it comes to all human life.
There is still time. I will determine whether Rand will have my support closer to election. Right now, I am promoting as many Liberty people as I can. What I have noticed on this board lately, are some people keeping others beneath the covers [such as Justin and others] in order to soley support Rand. That is dangerous, and not wise.

Very true, JA deserves all the air time he gets and then some
He has a bright future indeed.

Well...
if he ever decides to leave Michigan and relocate to Ohio, there is no doubt that he'd kick the tar out of boehner. I am seeing to it that Justin is well known. And he is. Too bad the rest of the states do not do the same ;-)

My theory on Rand
The "boiling the frog slowly" theory comes to play.
Ideally Rand is slowly cooling them off(neocons, progressives, etc) while they are still in a hot getting hotter ideology which feels just fine to them. Ron stated where "the temperature" should be, but it was such a drastic change from hot to cold ideology wise. He woke some up, but most put him off because his ideology is not what they are adapted to. When they listen Ron's ideology, they see it as freezing uninhabitable temperatures.
TMOT sums it up in less than 3 minutes.
Rand has got all of the enthusiasm and the character necessary to buck the system and fight for Liberty. He just proved what he can do. The problem is Rand showed no similar enthusiasm for fighting for his father when the time came for him to step up and do so. Instead, he indorsed Romney on the Hannity show; two simultaneous kicks to the crouch. Rand also shows no proclivity toward embracing the Liberty Movement. My impression is that he can take or leave us. Rand seems ambivalent either way. His agenda is different than ours. He is not alined with us; we are having to adapt to him. This process of adapting is nothing short of divisive. His filibuster did much to unite us and to heal old wounds, and that's great. I hope that we came build on the past few days events and reach some mutual sense of purpose and understanding.
Let me guess, you don't go to
Let me guess, you don't go to your County GOP meetings, State GOP Conventions
Know the facts before you blindly accuse.
I along with all of the other Ron Paul delegates were shown the door at the Montana State RNC Convention. We were essentially thrown out with zero Ron Paul delegates sent to Tampa, after they promised otherwise. No, I don't go to any meetings. There is also no opening in my county, and there won't be for years. The GOV is not a warm and fussy organization when it comes to the Liberty Movement.
well spoken

Every single Republican [even the little r ones]
should have done exactly what Rand did. That is their OATH. That is their JOB.
Rand did unite us concerning that filibuster, less the holes. If he did it with that, he could have represented us concerning drones overseas, sanctions, and other things. He did not.
Good post, SteveMT.

Consistency is what I'm after. That maybe wishful thinking.
Consistency is what separated Ron Paul from the others by far. Selectively applying the Constitution in some places, but not in others, does not and cannot work. The politicians and talking heads both do the same thing. On selective issues, I'm with them, but overall I cannot support them for I don't know when they will follow the Constitution and when they will not. I don't want to also put Rand into that category. Fortunately, there is time for us to figure all of this out.
Thanks for posting your video.
It is not wishful thinking if others will only remember:

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul
I remember that well
but keep reminding people anyway. That was one of his best speeches ever.
"If you bring people together for the wrong ideas, what good is it?" RP
TMOTT, you're wrong about Rand...
He's rock solid and bringing up the serious issues that both dems and republicans everywhere will support. He's not Ron Paul... Rand is more of a master strategist!
I can assure you, Rand will NOT compromise our principles! Just watch his first speech on the Senate floor:

"I can assure you, Rand will NOT compromise our principles!"
What are our principles? Can you name them?
Edit: That's what I thought... Here's a hint for you.. They don't involve drones strikes overseas and they sure as hell don't involve military drone strikes over here either.
He has already compromised them.

Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution, inevitable.
Listen, he's bringing issues
Listen, he's bringing issues to light and forcing an explanation! Liberals are puzzled as to where are the dems on this issue. Arianna Huffington is backing Rand on this issue. He's bringing people together!
No one had done this as successfully as Rand Paul. He even got the war-mongering Neo-Cons on board. (though not all of them). Come on!!!
BTW, I usually speak for myself but in this case, I thought OUR principles were the Constitution. No?
"He even got the war-mongering Neo-Cons on board. (though not
all of them). Come on!!!"
Well of course he did.. He said it was okay to drone strike a robber in the act here in the US.. He also said that a drone strike on the Times Square bomber would have been justified as well.
You do realize that in order to fire a hellfire missile inside the US, you need military doing it right? So not only are we going to have drone strikes inside the US.. We're going to have military conducting operations which are unConstitutional inside the US.
Now lets think about the Times square thing for a second..
Try and justify this being done

Time Square bomber was an inside job...
The FBI gave the Time Square bomber his defective bomb. That kind of situation would have never happened in real life!
WAKE UP!
Rand Paul is NOT Ron Paul. He's playing some SOLID strategy. He brought up the issue and Americans (especially liberals) are waking up to the Democrat Party's deception!
This was a huge victory.
Please...WAKE UP!
I agree
that Rand sold out his Dad, and that's a "deal breaker".

I remember a time when
when EVERYBODY loved TMOT! Remember remember before November?
"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul
TMOT does a good job representing LM veiws
If he had been a Republican and delegate for Ron Paul, whioch he wouldn't be because he wouldn't sign a loyalty oath, so he wouldn't get a seat to change the rules.. but if he had, he would see that Rand Paul saved delegates for his dad by warning everyone about the loyalty oath, many of us never figured the GOP would hold us to, and so many went stealth.. and had it not been for rand waking us up.. I;'m sure there would have been a lot less delegates for RP at the Tampa convention.
