The Keyboard is Mightier than the Drone

Rand Paul didn't cause such a stir all by himself. While he bore the brunt of the load, We the People had quite an impact on the attention Dr. Paul received using our keyboards and cell phones. I believe that without such an outpouring of interest and support through information technology the effects of Rand's filibuster wouldn't have had such an impact. Look at what we helped accomplish with our keyboards; Rush Limbaugh, Chris Mathews, and many others are embracing the message of liberty and spreading it across the land. In my opinion such support of the unstoppable idea that is liberty is an encouraging sign of good things to come. This is because our keyboards are our most dangerous weapon to the assault on our Constitution, Liberty, and Property being perpetrated by the powers that be.

The establishment that seeks to destroy our inalienable Rights has mighty weapons like drones, tanks, machine guns, bombs, and robots that run people down. However, nothing they have can compete with our most powerful weapon, words, and our nearly unlimited avenues to use those words as weapons in the fight for liberty. We still have the freedom to say whatever it is we want to say, no matter what any Government official says, words can never be violent, words cannot hurt anyone, and no one can can constitutionally be punished for words unless they incite a riot or make a direct serious threat to another's safety. As long as you are only using words to attack the Government, you are not and can never be an imminent threat to the Government. We have to rights to say what they don't like, and it's their job to protect that right.

With information technology we can all be modern Paul Reveres riding horses named Microsoft, Macintosh, Sprint, Verizon, AT&T and so on. Keep posting, tweeting, emailing, and wording it up for liberty. Encourage others to do the same. This idea and our words cannot be stopped!

That giant sucking sound is your lips on the establishments ass. The politicians were right when they told Dr.Paul that the people were too stupid to run themselves. At least in cases such as yours.

I'm not going to argue with you dude. You are far too unreasonable and rely on name calling and inflammatory remarks.

Be sure to give Rush his much deserved award for being a

libertarian now.

He gets paid to talk for four hours a day. What do you do?

Millions of people listen to what he has to say. Yet somehow, you think it's a bad thing when a man like that gives Liberty some airtime....

The only logical conclusion in my mind is that even if Rush and GB have the worst possible intentions nothing but good can come from them spreading the message of liberty.

They ride coat tails.

How about gb and rush give it to the American People word for word what has not even been discussed yet, such as how small arms treaty is next week, what the precise plans are, and then go on to explain how things like "Act 47" are actually A21, Iclei, Sustainability [whatever the new name is this week], and how it strips the rights of people in this country. You know, things beside Rand's filibuster which was already completely obvious.

How about they start covering news instead of gossip which once they have the people wrapped, they can/will turn the cards, such as what they did to Ron!

That would be pretty cool to see

I don't see Rush Limbaugh or Glenn Beck becoming whistle blowers or anything but I do believe that them giving Rand Paul air time is a good thing. I'm optimistic that they might keep spreading the message because of Rand Paul's unprecedented popularity for a libertarian. I can't think of anyone else in the movement as widely popular and accepted as Rand Paul, he's doing something right.

How is spreading the message of liberty, albeit a filtered message, a bad thing? People are hearing an idea they rarely hear today and those people have access to the unfiltered message constantly at their fingertips. Even if the idea comes from a less than reputable person, is a good idea still good?

Some of the establishment republicans around here who happen to like Rand are now saying that America *should* drone attack people overseas. When I respond that ALL people, no matter where they may live, should be brought to justice and have their day in court, they look at me bewildered.

When I bring up sanctions, the establishment believes that their representatives know best when they should be applied. They do not think for themselves.

Yes, Rand has opened a can of worms, which is partially a good thing. But he also has created many holes which both the establishment and democrats will take advantage of. Unwanted precedence, due to unintended consequences, will be set.

That is NOT the message of Liberty that I want floating around the air waves.

the holes were there already and I'm surprised you don't realize

that. Rand didn't create any "holes". The Holes the neocons and the libtards both agreed to concerning drones was a stadium sized before Rand's filibuster. Now all of a sudden that hole has closed considerably to the point the likes of Rush and Huffington have had to tow the new politically correct line of criticizing drones. The never would have before. Rand forced their hand.

Did it solve all drone problems overnight. No of course not. But it's a start. Rand is one man who made huge strides in a valiant effort on the floor of the senate. Its just one battle. Now lets push them harder. But in the mean time stop expecting miracles and complaining when you don't get them. NO MAN that I know of could have done better than Rand in swaying so many people in one swoop.

NO MAN.

"Now lets push them harder. But in the mean time stop expecting miracles and complaining when you don't get them."

I do not entertain contradictions. You do your thing, and I will continue to fight. Peaceably, of course :-)

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

you don't entertain contratictions

you are contradicting your principles right now. By that I mean, you want things to change but are mad when they change because it falls a bit short in your estimation. You see change but you say it isn't good enough when absolutely no one else has been able to do better. Justin Amash as good as he is hasn't been able to do better...yet you like his results better? That is a contradiction.

you act as if the majority of Americans are working with a full deck. You go talk to them .....see how far you get.

Ron Paul said he was proud of his son's efforts

So I would say Rand is bringing people together for the right reasons. Ron has nothing but good things to say about the filibuster in this interview.

Nothing logical about that lol..

By the way I own a small business.. something honorable that doesn't involve pro noting war and killing innocent people.. and I sure as hell don't look up to them like you do neocon.

Maybe I should embrace this.. in the end, it's going to turn out politics as usual and then people are going to go Yeager on politicians and we'll have some real Liberty after that.

So rock on, neocon. When the blood runs like a river in government halls, you can feel proud that you had a hand in it because of your stupid warmongering.

You certainly have a lot of free time from your business

to sit at a computer and try to make other people mad.

Do you ever have anything good to say?

Do you run Tennessee Sons of Liberty? I ask because their video is in your signature. If so, I'd be happy to volunteer to help the Tennessee Sons of Liberty.

Will you ever wake up and stop promoting neocon agendas here? If so I might have something good to say to you.

Didn't think so

I have a bad attitude sometimes myself. I'm working to correct that and have a positive attitude.

I made the simple point that a group of like minded people showing support for Rand's filibuster using mere keyboards has gotten the neocons of the world talking about liberty and you tell me that I'm promoting a neocon agenda.

You have a horrible attitude that is discouraging awakening people. You catch more flies with honey than vinegar you know....

It's happening before our eyes

People are becoming celebrities with youtube accounts. Other people have made names for themselves writing here on the DP or at examiner.com and other places. Technology can be our greatest enemy, or our greatest ally.
