Afghan leader alleges US, Taliban are colluding

Hamid Karzai said the US-led military coalition was working with the Taliban to create instability in Afghanistan and convince Afghani citizens that violence will increase once foreign troops leave the country.

KABUL, Afghanistan — Afghan President Hamid Karzai on Sunday accused the Taliban and the U.S. of working in concert to convince Afghans that violence will worsen if most foreign troops leave as planned by the end of next year.

Karzai said two suicide bombings that killed 19 people on Saturday — one outside the Afghan Defense Ministry and the other near a police checkpoint in eastern Khost province — show the insurgent group is conducting attacks to help show that international forces will still be needed to keep the peace after their current combat mission ends in 2014.

"The explosions in Kabul and Khost yesterday showed that they are at the service of America and at the service of this phrase: 2014. They are trying to frighten us into thinking that if the foreigners are not in Afghanistan, we would be facing these sorts of incidents," he said during a nationally televised speech about the state of Afghan women.

There was no immediate response from the U.S.-led military coalition, which is gradually handing over responsibility for securing the country to Afghan forces.

Does anyone else here follow the Pipeline Wars?

Have you ever heard of TAPI, the Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, & India Pipeline? How about the IPI, the Iran, Pakistan, India Pipeline? Growing population and thus energy demands in India and China, and those who want to be the ones who supply it are definitely playing a major role in the mis-adventures in Afghanistan and Iran. Mix a little currency wars in with the energy wars, and you get what we have now...political cover to take out the "evil terrorists" and open markets for US and European corporations and financial institutions.

I'm looking for Condoleeza Rice to make some sort of move in the near future since she used to be a former member of the board of directors for Chevron (a big player in TAPI), and also headed Chevron's committee on public policy until she resigned on January 15, 2001, to become National Security Advisor to President George W. Bush.

I think our troops will remain in Afghanistan as long as necessary to protect "our" interests. I speculate all the activity in Pakistan has something to do with this too.

I started a thread on this topic if anyone wants to continue the discussion.

Reverse Psychology

I think he's just using reverse psychology on those who would commit such attacks, i.e. "if you do this, you're promoting rather than resisting the foreign occupation of Afghanistan." "[A]t the service of America" is just a crude way of saying that. None of what they quoted supports the article's inflammatory headline. Bad reporting.

Bump for discussion.

Wow it's pretty bad when the NWO agent goes anti-NWO

Karzai is the NWO's appointee to run the Afghan government. It's gotta be pretty bad when the NWO agent rats on what the NWO is doing.

One can imagine the NWO wont put up for that for long. Watch for them to replace him.

good to see Karzai have some

good to see Karzai have some sense
