I just called Ron Paul Campaign Headquarters: Louisiana caucus is this Tuesday, January 22nd!! Not February 9th!

Republician Caucus Tues 1/22

It is a closed caucus for People who are republicans since Nov. 07.to elect delegates and alternates for convention
On Feb 9th we have a primary election
On Feb 16th we have our La Republic State Convention
There are 47 degelates up for grab.

Louisiana Caucus
I am in Louisiana and am involved with the caucus effort. There are two events, the caucuses on January 22, and the Presidential primary on February 9. The primary will really be a beauty contest unless one of the candidates gets 50% of the vote in which case 20 of Louisiana'a delegates will be pledged to that candidate for the first ballot only. The real action is in the caucuses. Louisiana has 47 delegates to the national convention. 3 of these are already predetermined (Chairman of the state party and national committeman and national committeewoman). The other 44 will be selected at the caucuses in a two step process. On January 22, 15 delegates will be elected in each of Louisiana's seven congressional districts. These 105 will meet later in Baton Rouge to pick the 44 national delegates. Ron Paul is the only candidate with complete slates of delegates in all seven congressional districts. We have a chance for a sweep. Mitt and Mike got caught with their britches down and have been soliciting unpledged delegate candidates. If we pull it off, we will need all of you helping us to publicize this to the max to help Dr. Paul slingshot off a second in Nevada and a first in Louisiana.
I am running as a delegate
I am running as a delegate for Ron Paul in Louisiana. It is my understanding that Jan. 22 is just to elect the delegates. The February date is when the people actually have a chance to vote for Ron Paul.

the louisiana caucus system is a little odd and not publicized AT ALL, even within the state, thats why the campaign is hoping to sneak in

to be shouted out, and loudly, couse the Louisiana Secretary of State's website says Feb 9th. If this is wrong the campaign needs to be shouting it loudly too.

and now I feel like an Idiot...It was constantly said that Florida was the next Primary after Nevada and South Carolina and I emailed HQ questioning them (Now I'm really feeling like an Idiot) and I've also criticized his being in Louisiana now vs Florida.
This just goes to show you his campaign staff are on top of things. They aren't the Idiots such as myself. They Know what their doing. Dang, I'm an Idiot
