Ron Paul and Violent Video Games?

Well I was up late last night and got a little bored. Just to let everyone know that I am a bit of a gamer. No TV or even sports, gaming is my vice :). Any way I was creating a new intro for my vids on youtube and got a crazy idea. I posted some of my Black Ops 2 Gameplay to Ron Pauls What If speach. Lol, I know what you're thinking...a litte counterintuitive I know. But I felt that in some sort of strange way it fits with the gameplay. I understand that many here at the DP have litte to no respect for gaming but you have to understand, the gaming comunnity on Youtube is huge. I thought why not introduce Ron Paul and some of his ideas to a different audience? Anyway here it is, open to ideas/criticisms.

Funny thing is I've lost

Funny thing is I've lost about 50 subscribers since posting game play. Guess that's why I was a little hesitant about what kind of feedback I would get.

Know what games taught me?

Know what games taught me? War is only good for getting people killed.

To climb the mountain, you must believe you can.

Ugh. I gotta say, I've been a gamer since my parents bought me a Super Nintendo in '93, and the last thing we need is more Jack Thompsons running around. I'm not a big fan of modern games (specifically the FPS) and there's no question that games like CoD have the potential to desensitize people to shooting. Hell, the Army has their own FPS for just that reason. But does it desensitize people any moreso than violent movies? Television? Comic books? Of course not. It's nothing that can't be fixed by education from parents and peers about ACTUAL firearm safety and usage.

Seriously, screw people who don't respect my FREEDOM to play whatever the hell I want.

Awesome! I'm a gamer (well former)

I've become far more of a genuine weapons lover and that is taking all my cash, but thanks for hitting this market man!

Ewwwww COD?

It's all about Battlefield 3! j/k I'm not actually a fanboy like that, but I do prefer it to COD- I have a high end gaming PC so I want to take advantage of the 64 player huge open battles etc...

I liked the video and it's a good idea- any way to reach a new demographic should be welcomed

Here's what to say to dinosaurs

"Did you ever get bored in church, turn around, see another bored kid in another pew, lock eyes, and then start doing the finger thing and going 'pew pew' back & forth?"

"Did you and your friends ever play cops & robbers around the neighborhood."

"Yeah, sure."

"Dad teach you to shoot when you were young?"

"Then stfu about video games."

That's what I was kind of

That's what I was kind of thinking just wasn't going to say out loud.. Lol

I think its worth a shot

Try to change up the maps from time to time to keep it interesting. I never played black ops 2 but I have played CoD and throwing in the terminal map and the different villages should keep it from getting getting stale.

Yeah, I figured if this went

Yeah, I figured if this went over well I would incorporate some other speeches and maybe try to do some montages....just a thought. Thanks for feedback.
