Guilty Former Detroit Mayor: Corruption, Fraud, Racketeering

The Federal trial of ex-Detroit city Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick came to a close today. The verdict? Guilty, on almost every charge brought forward (24 of 30, 4 were no verdict). His father Bernard, and his friend Bobby Ferguson were also found guilty for a number of charges.

This isn't the first trial Kwame has faced, but it is definitelly a lot more substantial than the previous one. He will likely be put behind bars for at least 10 years, and possibly up to 50+

There are all sorts of news articles out there if you want to read more about the affair.

Nah, really?

A public servant and representative of the people corrupt? That's just crazy talk, that judge and jury must be conspiracy theory kooks!

The bold effort the present bank had made to control the government ... are but premonitions of the fate that await the American people should they be deluded into a perpetuation of this institution or the establishment of another like it-Andrew Jackson

Do you want to induce vomiting quicker than syrup of ipecac?

You should see and hear the news out here. The Federal government is gloating and boasting on every channel for their victory. I wouldn't be surprised if they scheduled a parade. I have not seen so much butt patting since this SuperBowl!

And how hypocritical of them. They supported Kwame and crew while he was in office and furthermore are running one of the biggest criminal racquets known to human Kind by defrauding the public with fake money while keeping the real wealth for themselves ....

Screw Kwame and the Feds

It is weird

Because with as much crap as he pulled there is still some sort of bizarre worship over him that takes place with some of the population.

A list of the charges

I noticed that too.

Detroit residents got SCREWED by this man, but still there are folks feeling bad about the conviction. I guess when you're ignorant to how you're getting screwed, you can only force yourself to relate to the most charismatic man on the tele.

Thank you for that link :)

Send former Mayor Ray Nagin to join him in jail...
