Long live the Revolution..
There is an agenda here, of some sort. Karl Rove should still be rotting in jail after going there years ago. He lies. He is a criminal. He is as trustworthy as the serpent in the garden of Eden. I think everyone should take a course in contemporary history and those who shape it. LOL
If you're worried the media is going to call him out like they did Ron, I'll bet every cent in my pocket Rand will manage to make them feel dumb for even bringing it up. In fact, i'll donate every cent in my wallet at the time that he does it.
How Republican is it to tell people how to spend their money? That's a Democrats job. Case closed.

Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution, inevitable.
The media will turn on anyone, not representing the progressive party, in the next election. They might even help to get him through the primaries, just to throw him under the bus when the general election is on the line!
Last I checked, they voted too.
Is like gambling. He's putting his money where the best odds are.
you don't think he'll want "due compensation" for it? Maybe a nice cabinet position where his tyrannical ideas can be implemented?
Don't be so naiive as to think this is a mere gamble; it's a zero-sum game.
"The state is the great fictitious entity by which everyone seeks to live at the expense of everyone else."
Wait...naive? I wasn't saying anything about his intentions nor was I supporting him. You can't go and just call people names for no reason just because you're on a message board on the Internet. Sheesh...get a grip.
I humbly apologize for leveling undue accusations against you, I hope you'll accept my apology. You know what they say, when you assume, you make an ass out of yourself. :/

If you want to win and really make a difference, you'd do good to follow this lady's message of Liberty which is Dr.Paul's message of Liberty.

Both political parties are fascist. Only those who play fascist ball can rise to the top of their respective parties. That's why Ron Paul received no real support from the RNC, he wouldn't play the fascist game to get ahead. If the RNC promotes Rand as a leading Presidential candidate, which they haven't, it's because he's completely sold out. In my opinion, Rand's support for Barak O'Romney doesn't mean he's a complete sellout, similarly, support from a con artist like Rove doesn't mean Rand has completely sold out. Like the comment below says, it's likely that Rove is responding to public pressure.
At this point, constructive criticism of Rand is necessary in order to prevent him from straying even farther from the principles of limited government. If the conservative and libertarian bases unite, we could put enough pressure on Rand to bring him back to a position more like his dad's. It's important to remember that Rand may not have filibustered if not for millions of conservatives and libertarians who are standing up for their rights. Rand correctly gauged public opinion and capitalized on it. Now we must continue pushing Rand in the right direction. I don't think Rand will ever completely sell out, so if given the chance, I'll support him for President. We have nothing to lose other than more of our freedom.

I wonder what people, on here, think of Rand, now that he is supporting us, through the filibuster, amendment to the NDAA, etc. His idea on the immigration problem is the first I have heard of its kind. Continuing what we have done with it, in the past, is insanity. I think he is correct in stating we will not be able to get 20 million illegals out of the country, too!
He has stated that he feels the drug war is also making many mistakes. He does not believe in medical cannabis, saying that there are better alternatives. (not my opinion!) He does say the drug war has failed. He asks what good does it do to send college age kids to jail or give them a felony record over it! He, recently, pointed out the last three presidents could have been busted for drugs and never made it to the most prestigious political position in the world! He says the government should not be involved in marriage, either!
Are people here willing to support him, even after they call him a traitor to his father? I think it was the establishment Republicans that failed us, stealing votes at the national convention, changing their rules in the middle of the campaign!
Rand Paul is not perfect. But, neither am I! What has happened here? Has he brought a new group into the liberty movement? Could this spell victory? Only if people can think of what he is up to, and see the logic. He is pro-life, like the evangelicals want! He wants the illegal immigrants paying taxes and working, instead of draining us. He wants them to become productive members of this country. We must make our decisions, now, so we are ready to stand when the opposition starts in on us, again. We must, also, be able to, eloquently, describe our views.
One, I can think of, is dealing with the fact that we don't need the government to desegregate us. If people wish to separate themselves into groups, they will be left behind. Do you honestly think, that in our modern society, that people who won't serve blacks, Jews, Catholics, atheists or whatever group through discrimination, would benefit? Do we think that their businesses would thrive or even survive? Stupidity is still a choice that, we, US citizens, can choose. I would think anyone practicing segregation and discrimination would not find any advantage in doing so.
Anyway, we need to be discussing how we feel about the new ideas he has presented. At the same time, we can be happy that he is exposing the liberty movement to a bigger audience. I hope it continues and that we can all pull together and decide what we want. Smaller government, more liberty, and less governemnt intervention, in our private lives.

and one that can be used by the opposition to cause division. If you didn't see the rise and fall of different candidates this last election cycle as orchestrated to manipulate the public into excepting Romney you might want to go back and re evaluate what actually happened.
The media and the establishment throw their support behind and then trump up something so they can feign shock and horror while they rip that support away only to now promote the next chess piece. It is all part of the game.
Stop using their actions to make your decisions. They are manipulating you
this last election cycle as orchestrated to manipulate the public into excepting Romney you might want to go back and re evaluate what actually happened."
You'd do well to take your own advice.
It would be more accurate to say "both of the dominant political parties." Because, of course, there are more than two parties, at least one of which does not aim to be dominant.
What do you think? http://consequeries.com/
Karl Rove is not stupid, he is pragmatic. He has had the time to have analyzed why Romney and the Republicans lost the last election and he sees the trend. Where the momentum is going is with the liberty candidates, so hes changing directions in an attempt to get infront of the parade and look like he's leading. Its not just Rove, it's Hannity, Limbaugh, Levin, etc. I'm sure a Rove memo went out to the conservative influence makers announcing the new direction. The true neo-con believers, Kristol, McCain and Graham didn't get the memo.
I would agree that this move is about pragmatism, but not in the sense that Rove wants to go "in a different direction." This is simply classic misdirection. Watch this hand (Kristol, Graham, et. al.) while the other one (Rove) screws you.
I've said it once before, I'll say it again: I don't trust Rand Paul. But for those of you who do, don't dismiss this information, because at the very least, it means that the Neocons are trying to infiltrate Paul's 2016 run already, which is nothing to be down-voting. In fact, it should be exposed; not for people like myself, but for the Rand supporters who need to be vigilant in keeping scum like Karl Rove as far away from the White House as possible.
i rejected the argument that i should vote for the lesser of two evils (Mitt/Obama). However I'd be willing to go back on that just once for Rand.
NO human is perfect. But looking at Rand Paul and all he's done and stands for, he's right on 95% of the issues. 95% correct does not equate evil.
People like me see him as 40 to 50% right whereas people like you see him as 95% right.. There is no division being orchestrated that wasn't there on it's own to begin with.
have a lot of spunk in you...
Karl Roves to be exact! You people should get an enema...ASAP.
I know right?
you should grow up ... watching what the MSM is doing and who is saying what isn't supporting any channel or particular individual ... you guys are incredibly butt hurt that you have to continue the insults .. it's getting you nowhere ... just look around here whenever someone posts a backhanded comment about rand
you guys are really shooting yourself in the foot huh? you are human beings and just like all others you CAN be wrong on this one ... so ADMIT that ... and move on to things that are important instead of whining about a non-existent problem

don't know--there seems to be quite a bit of attempted marginalization of Rand Paul (and anyone who supports him) by certain posters...as I recall, there was another Paul on which these same tactics were attempted. Hmmmmm.
I support Rand Paul. Should he prove in the future that he did not deserve my support, I will have no problem admitting to it. He has done a few things that have caused me concern. For now, I will continue to observe his actions, his words, but especially, his Senate votes. I still think he's playing chess.
Many of the comments in this thread (and others) try to paint Rand supporters as nutty, kooky, etc. These tactics just do not work on me (and many others). I am strong enough to stand alone, if necessary!

not deserve my support, I will have no problem admitting to it."
Yeah well... I just hope for those that actually support Liberty and are not neocons, that they actually don't make a mistake because it's going to be hard to come back from a slap in the face like that. That's all it will take for many who don't have the willpower to keep fighting and they know it.
who do you support? Name me a Constitution-following Liberty-loving candidate...who unequivocally is 'pure' and that person will have my support! Name me the candidate who is better-suited for the Liberty movement than Rand!
I see a lot of complaining...without other viable solutions being offered.
