Nope but a friend of mine has ;)

First time I shot a gun was

First time I shot a gun was when my father taught me on when I was five. This was probably traditional in my family, although I haven't been able to use a gun much growing up like I'm sure my ancestor family did.

I remember a carnival game where you got to fire a real machine gun.

In boy scouts, we practiced with rifles. I did one of the same shots through the bulls eye multiple times you hear about every once in awhile - one of those where they had to look at the target a few times to figure out that all the bullets were dead center - I was a pretty good shot.

Just supersoakers.

Don't refill them with lake water, it will plug them up.;)

I don't own a firearm.

I don't own a firearm. In fact, I've never shot one. My parents were never the type to own them, and so I was never around them. But I have been watching Hickok45 on Youtube for the past few months and have learned a lot about them and plan on buying one in the future.

Has anyone on the DP ever shot a gun?

Does the Pope $hit in his hat?

...er, wait, I got that wrong. :-)

I think the more apt analogy would be...

Does the Pope cover up pedophelia?

Yea, I have. I dont know why

Yea, I have. I dont know why people are weary about saying they have. Having fired a gun at some point in the past in no way equals currently having one or keeping one under your pillow or something.

I have fired .22 Rifle and a pistol of german make that takes the same ammo. I would say I am a reasonable shot at about 30-40 yards.

To climb the mountain, you must believe you can.

Went to School and everyone had rifles and shotguns

in their gun racks mounted on the rear of the cab of their truck , and the guns where usually loaded - I know mine always where. Never had an incident to speak of. So what changed? The drugging of school kids with Psychotropic Meds , and of course Government Intrusion in our schools

why would I?

that gun never did nothing to me

Leave an indelible mark on all of those that you meet.
OH... have fun day :)

Who Do You Work For?

And, why are you encouraging people to brag? (I'm teasing, I hope.)

Guys. If it weren't for this desire to dominate each other, the world would be a more peaceful place! I won't say don't do it, but I will suggest you think before shooting off.

What do you think? http://consequeries.com/

I almost said no but I can dimly recall having shot a gun.

Since then I shoot LOTS of guns.

Most of those who think so actually don't and most of those who think sew actually rip.

Shot a good bit.

Only real kill I've ever made (despite hunting for the past two years; the DEER WON'T SHOW THEMSELVES) was a squirrel in the top of our tree a while back. He was assaulting the bird feeder, so my mom requested that I introduce him to Mr. .22.

There was also the time I executed a 'possum with my .22, but I don't know if that really counts. The other guns have never killed anything yet.

Pick up a bow and get in before the rut, when the deer still have predictable movement patterns.

raised on a firing range.

Started shooting at 4 with Dad helping me hold a .32 semi-auto pistol. Dad shot competition in the 60'as and 70's, so I practiced with him all the time. The firing line was a permanent structure on our farm. Lots of skeet shooting as a kid, always with supervision. I didn't have Dad's 20/15 vision by a long shot, so I never got to proper competitive shooting myself, and didn't really have a passion for it. I was taught how to clean and maintain guns properly, how to reload my own ammo, and some basic gunsmithing, but most of all respect and safety. I earned a bunch of junior NRA badges, but that was about as good as I got. I had occasionally gone hunting as a teenager, after we left the farm for the burbs. Dad went to the Pentagon. Haven't done much shooting as an adult, but I can still do it all with muscle memory whenever I find myself at a range or a friend's place in the country. I guess I could say I only shoot socially now, but I'm fairly confident in my ability to hit the black dot. Dad is now an accomplished firearms engraver since he retired.

You don't have to list everything..... Name your lowest caliber and the most fun shot you made.

I gotta get back to cleaning my MG42.

O.K., my lowest caliber was a slingshot when I was 6 years old.

My highest was a 45 long out of my Judge. There you have it. The truth.

Great post and reply!

Ruger 22LR MKII, last shot

Ruger 22LR MKII, last shot was 98 yds. Head shot into coyote.

Thats a great shot. I think 100 yards with a rifle gives me a 18-20 inch grouping without a scope. I never thought to use a pistol at that range. Did it actually kill a coyote?

Yep. Dropped it quick. Now

Yep. Dropped it quick. Now I will say there is some luck with that shot, okay, all luck.

Yes Sir!

Hunters education at the fire station when i was 10

by the time i was in 8th grade me and my brother both had 22s and 20g shot guns.

my ma sat in the back of the class of hunters education
and she would sit and read a book in the desert while we would run around and shoot pop cans and lizards

I remember her driving us to the shooting range and we would shoot clay pigions till our shoulders felt like they were going to fall off. She would sit in the sun with ear plugs in and read for hours while we played like we were on a african safari.

My brother has always been a better shot than me

we always had a safe in her closet. and safety was and still is # 1

today i am still an active shooter and hunt coyotes in antelope lands where i live.

3-800 yards better watch out with my tikka .243

nothing better than dropping a coyote harassing a female pronghorn getting ready to drop a fawn.

wooo weee im getting all jacked up just thinking about next month!!!!

Deer Shot 300mag 350 yds, shoulder shot, (where I aimed, immediately dropped!) Muzzle loader 50 caliber, same shot, 50yds, dropped. Coyote- bow kill - Strike Eagle. Shot Rabbits and pheasants when I was a teenager, with 12 gauge. Within thirty yards, does not matter what I am using, including my Strike Eagle and Devastator bows. Use 22 for hunting gray squirrels.(Have to use scope, now!) They are good! Very wily little tree rats!

Killed many deer with bow (and a few squirrels). A few deer with guns! Anyway, I have venison thawing now. Tastes like goat meat.

Shot a few pistols, black powder and modern weapons, both.

Never pointed a gun at a human, yet. If, I ever have to, it will be very bad. My decision is already made. Hope it never comes to that!

And, I retrieved a slug from behind the liver of a local cop! Domestic trouble - cop on cop thing! I was the surgeon! He was an acquaintance.
