Further Proof That Rand Paul Is Winning

So we all saw how Rand Paul woke up the entire country on the issue of drones on American citizens. Well something else came up recently where he argued the libertarian stance on marriage.

He argued that government should get out of marriage: “I’m an old-fashioned traditionalist. I believe in the historic and religious definition of marriage. That being said, I’m not for eliminating contracts between adults. I think there are ways to make the tax code more neutral, so it doesn’t mention marriage."

Now, if like me you are quite surprised that Rand said this, I want you to remember RedState. They banned "Paul people" from the website in 2008 and ostracized them in 2012. Now that Rand Paul is talking about this please check out the comments on this article:

These are people that totally shut Ron Paul out. Now that someone that simply sounds less radical brings it up, it suddenly becomes a legitimate debate?

It's time for all of you who called Rand Paul a traitor to the movement to apologize. You can no longer deny that he is changing the conversation and redefining what a "conservative" means.

Let me know what you think...

What's with all the pope hate?

I didn't want to post this on one of the random pope posts and give them more time on the front page. Anyhow, what is with all the "new pope did this, new pope did that" crap. Who cares. It seems there are folks who just watch the news, then twist it, come up with some lame conspiracy, and then post it on here, regardless of merit. It is annoying, and I wish it would stop. Anyway, yeah, Rand is doing great. Love the post.

Free market capitalism isn't right for America because it works better. It's right because it's free (and it works better).

In my opinion,

individuals have natural right to have their own kids or not (reproduce.) That is basic. But there is no individual right to acquire kids via adoption. Since affirmative-action recipients were decisive in bringing down capitalism and unmolested private property (gays included), I do not see the need for Libertarians to make drugs or gay issue as the most urgent one to fight for. I would put it on the back burner until capitalism is restored and white people can have their own trade unions, males can have their own private clubs, and heterosexuals their own pride parades. And if homosexuality is proven to be genetically caused, I would demand the right for heterosexuals to refuse blood transfusion from homosexuals.

It's nice when

Paid shills don't even try to hide it

Preach brother!

Rand is a great politician. Like many of the greatest rock and roll bands, influential artists and writers, Ron was before his time.

It took Ron planting the seeds to reap the rewards. Rand is going to be an awesome President. Someone that will truly unite the country. We may not always agree with his strategy, but we must understand that he is the spawn of his father. None of us had an intimate view of what Ron has been through. Would you expect him to make the same political moves???

My gut instinct tells me that we can trust Rand. Rand has learned from the mistakes of his father and refuses to be labeled the same way as his father. I understand why completely.

I wish we could come up with a contract with Rand. We pledge our support as long as he promises to follow a few basic principles. For us, it could motivate those on the fence... for him, it could be a political liability.

He has out maneuvered Mitch McConnell, Karl Rove and Democrat party. He has proven to us that he stands on principles that we demand. He plays the right politics at the right time... and its my belief that he loves his dad and would not bring disgrace to his family.

Lets hope we get more of that!

'Peace is a powerful message.' Ron Paul

Rand does not need

to dance around us. His task is to find support from the larger fiscal conservative audience.

So true.

My Fox news loving grandparents are okay with Rand, and my wife, who could give two craps about politics even said she could get behind Rand, just because he seems more likable. I'll still keep my Ron Paul 2012 sticker on my car, but I've known for quite some time that Ron's 2012 run was really about setting the stage for Rand.

We need to get an early start on 2016: Support Rand PAC 2016

Wedge Issues are the main

Wedge Issues are one of the main weapons corporate media uses to keep the people divided with their divide and conker strategy. What would the MSM do without wedge issues to clobber us over the head with?

Rand Paul or Hillary Clinton in the general election

90% of people on the DP will put an X beside Rand's name

The other 10% will secretly put an X beside Rand's name

Even most of the trolls will probably vote for Rand

Except Lindsay Graham and John McCain, undoubtedly they will vote for Hillary

I Agree...

... most regular republicans will get behind him like you said. However the greater threat is the hardcore Neo-Cons in the party. I have talked to some who view rand with as much hatred as his father. My only hope is that he has enough support from conservatives and the GOP base that he will be able to defeat them.

So true. Rand is serving them exactly the same message.

But this time they are eating it.

I think anyone going around

I think anyone going around labeling people as traitors to the movement has nothing of substance to add to the movement and are themselves the traitors to it.

It takes many different perspectives to unify the people on anything. No one person has the right angle and all angles need to be considered in order to achieve success.

Great statement.

I think it would be extremely rare to find two people that agree on everything. This is the complicated reality we operate within. Your words offer a reasonable solution. Allow diversity to work for us rather than to fight it.

Look in the mirror.

I see someone who agrees with me on everything whenever I look in the mirror. It is even more exciting when I was able to vote for myself in last Junes Primary.

Moral of the story: If you want someone who agrees with you on everything, run for office.
