Rand Paul Winning Fox News 2013 CPAC Poll at over 79% (Vote Here)

VOTE: Who Will Win the 2013 CPAC Straw Poll?

The most watched event at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference is the straw poll. Mitt Romney won the most votes last year before winning the GOP presidential nomination, and also won in ’07, ’08 and ’09. Ron Paul was the winner in 2010 and 2011.

if anyone remembers...

in the primaries.. the not romney or ron paul choices went up and down and up and down and well you remember.. it was always because they realized the choice wasn't conservative enough, or didn't speak well..

It still comes down to the hannitys and limbaughs .. if they want him.. he has it in the bag.

If the NEOCON talkradio machine like hannity or limbaugh don't want him to win they WILL come out and start bashing rand OR.. when democrats try to destroy him.. and they most definitely will.. THIS is when the hannitys and limbaughs will use whatever issue the democrats are pushing against Rand and phrase it as.. because of (insert issue) and as much as we like Rand.. we just don't think he will win.

i hated the fact that Rand endorsed Romney

but Rand is the Liberty Candidate of the GOP therefore i will ride on his wagon this time.

Does anyone sense this reaction is a latent response

to Ron Paul?

How many of you guys have spoken to people who have said "We should have voted for Ron Paul" - or somethinmg similar to that?

I have...more than once.

The law cannot make a wicked person virtuous…God’s grace alone can accomplish such a thing.
Ron Paul - The Revolution

Setting a good example is a far better way to spread ideals than through force of arms. Ron Paul

The difference is:

Neocon sheeple are seeing rand as a leader, even my very neocon grandma likes rand, while she maintains Ron is crazy.

This trend has only been amplified by the last few stunts rand has pulled, the filibuster and the "I would have relieved you" statement to Hilary. While he's not everything we want, let's not sacrifice substantial gains in liberty for a few negatives not being removed/remedies/rectified right away, that he may or may not focus on when the time comes.

Well said - thank you!

The only thing these polls do

is show the establishment that Rand may have the ground game Ron had and that scares the hell out of them. That is reason enough to screw with their heads. Lol!

Rand - 78.23% Sarah Palin in 2nd place with 8.93%

As I stated in the other thread

Polls mean nothing. They will twist it and do what they want. It is a way to make you feel good and part of their system. When the time comes, they will yet again use corrupt tactics and then blame it on the people for changing their minds.

Then let's enjoy this poll while it lasts.

I read your frustration on and between the lines. The underhanded way that the system dealt with Ron Paul and with us will not succeed this time around, IMO. They will try their same tired old neocon candidates, but they will fail. The status quo of the RNC is shifting toward libertarians as we comment. That is my hope anyway.

At least the numbers will be there for future reference. History always has more than one writer.

No problem - no one is forcing you to vote, I don't think it's

a DP requirement. I chose to vote because you're right, it does make me feel good to see someone with integrity ahead. I watched them conveniently ignore or distort Dr. Paul's results when reporting. But, you know what? I am very interested to see if the younger Dr. Paul gets treated any differently, if maybe, just maybe they will embrace him.

I wish the total number of votes

were listed to make it more credible.

WARNING: Don't feed

this STATIST troll.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me 774 times, shame on me.

And this is so important

because winning all those online polls really helped Ron Paul win elections.

but Ron got torpedoed by Benton.

Google is government.

Maybe or maybe not!

You might be right, but also you might not be right at all. Time will tell.

But there is one big difference between Rand and Ron (of course there is many differences between them, but that's not the point now) and that is that the LameSM takes Rand seriously giving him a lot of attention which they never ever gave to Ron. Even this whole CPAC is presented by the media as a huge battle between Rubio and Rand. So for that reason it might be that the MSM takes this time also polls like this more seriously than when Ron was winning them.

You are evolving quite nicely Michael :)

Glad to see the progression in your education. I will say however that Ron Paul never KILLED a poll quite like this? I mean Rand got 20 times more votes than the distant second place TOTALLY FAKE Sarah Palin!

The CPAC poll does carry just a TEENY bit of weight with those who claim to be "conservatives" - it's nice to see the re-definition of what it means to be a conservative taking place.

No, it is because it is about ideas.

You can't un-hear them.

And we can't forget how Ron won just about everything in 2008 and 2012 and still lost to TPTB.

But we will overcome.

The truth will win out in the end with or without you Michael.

Just voted.

Since no one ever calls to ask my opinion, it's fun to get to vote.

It's reasonable to assume

that if you're on a terror watch list you don't get called for political polling.

No Offense

but I don't trust Fox polls or any others for that matter. Learned that after what they did to Ron Paul. Hope you are right though.
