Ron Paul: Congress, Stand Up To The Imperial President!

Last week the US Senate took a break from debating the phony cuts known as “sequestration,” for Senator Rand Paul to hold a 13-hour filibuster to force the Obama administration to state whether it believes the President has the right to kill American citizens with drones on US soil. I find it tragic that there has to be a discussion on an issue that should be so self-evident.

"Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice." -- Thomas Paine

During the confirmation hearings of...

Supreme Court Justice Alito, [Elito] said he subscribed to the idea of a "unitary executive" whose powers exist in a "twilight zone". And as Ron Paul pointed out in this article, we are living in the twilight zone of unchecked presidential power. There's one check on the expansion of government and executive power that receives little attention. That check on extra-Constitutional power is prosecution of government officials for treason. One obvious example of treason is the bipartisan leadership's partnership with Saudi leaders who sponsor a global network of Sunni extremists that are killing our troops.

Initially, Bradley Manning was charged with "aiding the enemy", which carried a possible death sentence. But unlike Bradley Manning, there's compelling evidence that US leaders are aiding U.S. enemies who are murdering our troops and arming North Korea and Iran. The following clips demonstrate that Saudi Arabia is funding global extremism/terrorism while US leaders do nothing to stop it. Doing nothing to stop terrorist financing is aiding the enemy.

US leaders refer to their relationship with Communist China as a "partnership", and the following clips demonstrate that this partnership is arming Iran and North Korea.

I believe citizens on the left and right, if properly informed, would support convicting bipartisan leaders of treason for "Aiding the Enemy". This would be a good way to start reigning in government power based on Constitutional limits. Bradley Manning and troops on the ground put everything on the line in defense of liberty. If we want to support them, citizens here at home must do their duty and hold treasonous leaders accountable.

How ironic........

This was published in the 'Eurasia Review'!

Funny - I didn't see a thing about it in my local paper.

Thanks for the post - And thank God for the internet.

"I just want to live in a free country" - Dr. Ron Paul

I printed this article a few days ago and handed it out

to people I'm trying to "wake up". I've been going though a lot of toner and paper over the past couple years. The first time I ran out of paper and toner, I stopped handing out stuff for a few weeks. I was shocked when several of the people I regularly hand things out to ask me why I stopped giving them print outs. I told them I needed paper and toner. Since that day, I've been receiving reams of paper for free and I've not had to pay for a toner.

For whatever reason, the people I'm dealing with seem to find time to read the articles I print out whereas most don't seem to read the stuff I send them in emails or post on my blog. Hey, whatever works!

Good for you, breaking through the CLUTTER and making an impression the good old fashioned way.
