Mitch McConnell at CPAC on ObamaCare: We Lost

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has some news for Paul Ryan and House Republicans: Obamacare is here to stay.

The Kentucky Senator, famous for declaring his party's narrow intent to make Barack Obama a "one-term president," veered from his colleagues' long-held stance that undoing the Affordable Care Act — a.k.a Obamacare — is politically feasible, even after the package passed in March 2010, was upheld by the Supreme Court in June 2012, and its namesake was re-elected on November 6.

"When it came to Obamacare, we gave it everything we have, everything we have, and we just lost," McConnell told his audience at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Friday morning.

Still, he reiterated his opposition to the legislation: "Obamacare should be repealed root and branch." So maybe Ryan, who assumed the repeal of the health-care laws in his 2013 House GOP budget, will have that to hang his hat on.

Obamacare is such a boring, or rather, tiring, topic on this end

Obamacare is such a boring, or rather, tiring, topic on this end.

Yet, always very saddening to be seen unfolding, too. I don't think anyone could ever get used to the installment of such fraud against humanity, natural compassion, common sense, and fairness.

Obamacare is nothing new to me. Not for one gram. Has NEVER been, not even in 2009.

I come from a country where big government enforces whatever is deemed a good-for-all "universal" healthcare system.

Let me give break to you the FOUR (once unconfessed, now inevitably shoved down everybody's throats) core pillars of the scheme - the true design and implementation intent of it, right from the start - I know that sounds easy to do a posteriori, but I have american relatives / witnesses who can tell I had explained it at lengths in its Grand Design rationale WAY before my first entry on US soil, in March '09:

1. unreadable amounts of nonsensical legalese jargon about which accomplice legislators AND government-chosen regulators WILL BE ABLE to decide to give ANY meaning they see fit, ever since it got force of law - at gun point;

This CENTRAL pillar which relies on betraying language, common sense, and rhetorical honesty UPFRONT has THREE main purposes / satellite pillars for the true beneficiaries of the system (and that won't be the People's individuals nor their health - EVER - have NO doubts about that, on the long run):

2. justify ANY current AND future, centralized, government-managed means TO COLLECT PERSONAL, ANY PERSONAL DATA - personal identification with centralized databases, to begin with - about not just health BUT ALSO : INCOME, SPENDING habits, LOCATIONS, MOVES, and correlate with all their other DEPENDENCIES on the government "services", e.g., welfare, child / family planning, you name it;

3. justify ANY current AND future derived taxation schemes, CUMULATIVELY, should that be for the sole purpose - mark my words: THAT WILL be announced, ONE DAY, INEVITABLY - of "saving our great healthcare system from possible bankruptcy" (never mind that it will be the same asking for those additional taxes who will PRECISELY have managed to make it impossible to balance in the first place, because of their OWN inefficiencies, waste, AND internal mafia bureaucracies' cash flows)

4. justify ANY current AND future derived BUSINESS taxation schemes - idem (3) in the main lines - similarly, THE PRIVATE SECTOR (except maybe for a few BIG privileged cronies) WILL ALSO have to contribute to the additional efforts of "saving" the system if deemed necessary - by the same;

As a bonus, here's where the US may in fact be able to "innovate" as compared to other socialist countries in E.U... although not quite in a much desirable way:

5. TIE ALL of (1) to (4) of it to "national security" AND/OR "environment safety" concerns and purposes, with, by, and for their respective administrations, regulations, inspectors, again: you name it.

Obamacare: just another instance - made in the USA - of the "modern" PTB tools (discovered post-WWII) used to BROADEN, ACCELERATE the MANAGEMENT of an entire country's people thru the spreadsheets and planning equations of the statists and fascists at the top of ALMIGHTY bureaucracies and crony corporations.

People seen AS COMMODITIES OF THE STATE. And, to some more or less broad extent, but DECIDED BEHIND DOORS CLOSED to the People anyway... as commodities of the U.N. itself, some day - they haven't written their Agenda 21 just for fun.

Nancy Pelosi was indeed DAMN RIGHT AND TRUTHFUL on exactly one point, dear, poor America:

Obamacare HAD TO BE PASSED without anyone being expected to read it...

... just for YOU, America, to discover what was inside it.

It takes someone from another country to point out, exactly, what seems to be going on! Control, control, control!

And, you are right about the system going bankrupt! When the people demand, and the providers give, excessive medical care, it will go broke! You had a very good analysis of the situation.

I gave you an up vote Allegory

The downvotes are because it's a message few want to hear or can hear without discust and dissappontment in McConnell.. It's important because it helps us remember who McConnell really is.

Agreed, +1

Important new isn't always good news.

NOTE: I am not advocating violence in any way. The content of the post is for intellectual, theoretical, and philosophical discussion. FEDS, please don't come to my house.

McConnell wants us...

to believe we lost because like all Rockefeller Republicans, he's in favor of the unlimited State control that Obamacare provides.

But I'm sure most DPers know that the Republican majority in the House of Representatives has the power of the purse, so they could effectively repeal Obamacare by defunding it. Exit polls after the presidential election showed that more voters wanted it repealed than implemented, and the number who want it repealed is growing.

It's the States that can stop it

many States are saying no to Obamacare:
