Largest Sheriff Department In Missouri Is Trading Their Sheriff For a Dictator (Police Chief)

Bump... similar issue happened in Indianapolis a few years ago

As far as I know this is the only time I've heard of where (did they actually lose the sheriff and get it back?) this has happened.

Usually when you lose the sheriff (like in CT and AK) that position is gone for good... even though you could always theoretically get them back.
