10 things I learned at FEMA camp

So I read the US Army doc FM 3-39.40, which concerns interning and relocating people. The link has the file for download, fyi.

It read like an Army manual for the most part, but it also mentioned that DHS or FEMA would supervise a domestic operation carried out by the US Army.

Its pretty white bread when it comes to rounding up dissenters, searching, interrogating, separating and shipping them off to camps in the hinterlands. There were a few surprises though, and I've outlined them in my latest article below.

OOO! OOOO! I have a question!!

Regarding your #6 Cool serial numbers

In the example shown, the detainee classification is RP. Does than stand for Ron Paul supporter?

Great post. I will be sharing it!

Sadly (fortunately?)

it stands for Retained Personnel. CI stands for Civilian Internee, and EPW is enemy prisoner of war. Those are stated as the three current classifications in the doc.

Thanks for the help! Get the word out!

I should probably write a more practical manual, describing prisoner flow, and when the best time to escape is. Short answer, you need to escape as quickly as possible, because authorized use of force escalates as you "climb the ladder" of detainee facility. Once you reach the Theater Internment Facility (TIF), you've got dogs, razor wire, shotgun guard towers and mounted patrols to contend with. At the local level its probably just a converted school.

Make sure you emphatically state

that you need to escape once you hear that they're rounded people up!
Have escape route paths clearly marked out like they tell you to do if your house is on fire - and make sure you practice beforehand.
The coming war will be very ugly.

Agreed

A simple plan is always the best plan. I suspect the first step of internment will actually be voluntary if it ever comes to that.
