Dude! The crime lab was busted falsifying results in more than 30,000 cases!

You want to talk civil liberties? Look at this nonsense!

A scandal in a Massachusetts crime lab continues to reverberate throughout the state's legal system. Several months ago, Annie Dookhan, a former chemist in a state crime lab, told police that she messed up big time. Dookhan now stands accused of falsifying test results in as many as 34,000 cases.

Damn straight!

Callin' it out!

What would the Founders do?

This happened in Houston too.

You can not trust state run crime labs.

They are expected to turn out a particular result.

Every non violent drug

Every non violent drug offender in the country should be released immediately! Look at all the lives ruined by supposed authority... Makes me sick that we allow this to continue...

Bring back real prosecutors- the prosecutor is the real victim and real person harmed. Without a real victim, an actual person; and real harm, there is no crime.

"public prosecutors" are a legal fiction introduced 120 years ago. They have not been harmed, they are not the victim, and they represent a legal fiction "the state" as the victim. Before that, this didn't exist, and prosecutors in the court system were the actual victim.

Victim less crimes is how a libertarian describes it like it's a future thing to obtain.

Real prosecution is how it is described in history, and what we use to have, a lost thing as our system has been taken over.

We need to describe it both ways. Look at the example from the book Oliver Twist I posted, that gives an example of it.

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.

This has happened in several states.

Texas, New Jersey, North Carolina, Virginia, Illinois, & Ohio to name a few. They are not just drug cases. In some the police or d.a.'s were involved indirectly. All the excuses you can think of were used to justify the tainted or totally incorect evidence submitted to the court.

I say "Class Action" anyone

I say "Class Action" anyone within arms length of this BS should join and sue the State of Massachusetts into bankruptcy. Their is no jury in the world that will not side with these folks. Maybe that would wake up some more people to the incompetency of government and the total incompetency of big government. Bankrupt them and fire them all. Let's not let the media bury this one. What an opportunity!

“Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the government take care of him better take a closer look at the American Indian.” ― Henry Ford.

I would gladly contribute money to help fund a class action

lawsuit. Where are the attorneys to help overthrow all related convictions in every state. It's a national conspiracy against the American people.

Taken from the added link below:

"Annie Dookhan was supposed to be an independent witness, a state chemist coolly analyzing drug evidence for the court. But her e-mails over the last nine years, obtained by the Globe, vividly detail her close relationship with prosecutors, including a man to whom she poured her heart out, and her strong desire to put suspects behind bars.

Dookhan, arraigned Thursday on 27 counts of altering drug evidence and obstructing justice, viewed herself as part of the prosecution team, the e-mails show. She coached assistant district attorneys on trial strategy and told one that her goal was “getting [drug dealers] off the streets.” When Dookhan told a prosecutor that she could not testify in her case, the woman replied with an anguished: “No no no!!! I need you!!!”"

I would be looking

for a large deposit from the Corrections Corporation of America or another similar for-profit prison outlet. Not kidding... this is business as usual.

Victimless crime trumped up

Victimless crime trumped up drug charges where many innocent people were thrown in jail and lost everything. Massachusetts better hope some of the people who lost everything don't go Christopher Dormer on them. Stupid war on drugs, serves them right.

what a mess.

Imagine 34,000.....

And who's to say its not happening nationwide?

It absolutely is and has been

going on for years. Many people afraid of repercussions to themselves and co-workers -vs- the jailing of someone that they already deemed "worthless" and a danger to society. It's "one of those many things" that many in certain occupations know about, but don't find it necessarily important to try and prove when weighing the options. Your loss of employment, being permanently blacklisted, and possibly having things turned against you(imagine people coming after you and losing your house/family/wealth & possible liberty in the process), just for doing the "right" thing. Many that would know the consequences well in advance, would NEVER EVER do what Bradley Manning did, much less for people that they already judged in their minds to be considered criminals and leeches/dangers to society by many in those occupational circles. Sad reality.

Calls for a nationwide

Calls for a nationwide independent investigation.

Wow! Yep

Just wow
