Police Brutality Handled Correctly!

(Has been posted before... an oldie, but a goodie!)

A good lesson for us American folk. (Short vid at just 1:37.)

This is how we *should* behave en masse when we witness violent abuses of power:

Not to condone violence, but the Justice here is clear.

I knew that was going to be

I knew that was going to be the video. It's been around for a while. And you're right, people saw how brutally the guy was being handled that the crowd decided to take care of business themselves.

The right way would be to exercise the Second Amendment and...

The right way would be to exercise the Second Amendment and Declaration of Independence to deliver lethal force.

Lethal force

I understand the emotion behind that for sure, but escalation of violence shouldn't exceed the initial violent act. A good sound beating should have been delivered to all of the cops evolved. I think shooting them is going a little to far in that instance since there was enough people to come to the man's aid. Now if it had been one or two citizens coming to this guys aid and the four cops then turned on them, lethal force I think would be justified. I hope those cops watched that tape later and realized that beating a guy for running on a field with a sign is just plain immoral and retarded.

Six to Eight on one punching and jabbing is lethal force.

There is only one way to confront a gang of murderous thugs and that way is with lethal force.

With all due respect, I think

With all due respect, I think jabbing someone as hard as you can anywhere near someones head or upper body with the butt of a baton is deadly violence. It doesn't take much to kill someone like that...

Deadly force

Had the guy himself killed the cops or one of the cops during the struggle because he feared for his life he would have a good case. Once the dog pile was broke up by the citizens the immediate threat was gone. Had he or anyone else then killed one of the cops it would have been homicide. Nobody wants lawlessness from the cops or the citizens. I think they did the right thing other than letting a few of them off the field without a good beating. I guarantee they will think again how they should act the next time someone runs on the field with a deadly sign.

The Golden Rule,

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. The cops were saying, "hey, this is what I want done unto me." The crowd simply obliged by beating the snot of the cops. Seems the brotherly thing to do.

Take note!

The correckt spelling of it is "Vive la Revolution". It does not mean "goodbye revolution"! Vive mean "to live" and Vive la Revolution literally mean, "live the revolution" but translated to English, the intended meaning is "Long Live the Revolution."

When does "non-violence"

become irresponsibility?

There I asked the question... now someone please answer it.

When one is a witness to injustice...

And sits idly by and does nothing, when they could have... would you not be just as guilty as the party committing the unjust act?

It definitely wouldn't be good for your karma, imo...

How to Handle POLICE STATE Encounters

The people knew the guy was

The people knew the guy was down and well subdued. Then they saw the police batons impaling the guy and torturing him with many blows, which was totally unnecessary. This is not rocket science. The police thugs got what they deserved.

Did I forget to say

Why do you think they want to take away our guns?

The very people that are against Americans having guns don't realize the unintended consequences of a society where the police and military are the only ones that have guns.

They would also be the first to protest police brutality without realizing they helped to foster the environment and mentality.

In America, police brutality will always exist on some level. We need the police, but it has to be measured.

The key is to get the police to police themselves. No blue wall and action against cops that lose their common sense. They're human but so are we.

I think they got the wrong one....

...the one that was beating the dude ran away I think; so kind of fail-ish.

Thought the same thing at first

but holding down / immobilizing someone so they can get clubbed is the same as clubbing them, I believe. Total participation in the violence. Accessory / enabling / etc. It is an act of physical violence to restrain someone against his / her will, of course.

Yes, not surprising that the dude dispensing the beating was the true coward who ran away the fastest!

Not fail at all as far as the big picture is concerned; a wonderful demonstration to the punk cops--and everyone present--of how people can stand up to oppression if they so choose.

Riot-ish conclusion may not be the best outcome, but good prevailed, even if a little sloppy!
