Our Republic is Doomed Unless We Unseat Half of Congress

AT:
http://itsacorpraljokeprivate.blogspot.com/2013/03/our-repub...

It's real simple. We all know what's going on. We all know what is inevitable: the relentless drive to an overtly lawless, corrupt authoritarian fascist state. If the vote on NDAA didn't tell you anything, nothing will. If you still think congressmen give a flying f$#k what you think, about anything, you can now be officially be classified as delusional.

It is not time to stage armed revolution until all peaceful means have been exhausted. We cannot honestly look ourselves in the mirror and say we tried, really tried, to wrest the body "closest to the people" back to the people. The Founders reasoned that re-election every two years was ample reason to be responsive to popular sentiment. And it is. But this big lever only works if someone reaches up and grabs it.

Going into Spring, it is high time to clearly state what must be done to regain our republic.

The math of governing is simple: it starts with a majority block of votes in the lower house. These lead to leadership positions which can stall or move votes, rules changes, and other procedural power which marks a governing coalition. But with primaries only a year away, how many of the congressmen who voted "yes" on NDAA are being challenged? It would be our own fault and eternal damnation if it were not every one of them.

Let this thread kick off the plans. Announce your candidacy here and hold your first money bomb. Float names for us to contact and implore to run.

We have to start now. They have the money but we have the numbers, and time to organize. Link your local NDAA nullification chapter to active candidacies. These are skeleton organizations, often bipartisan, across freedom loving states that are already in place.

If Rand wins in 2016 he will need a majority to govern. The greatest thing his filibuster accomplished is to show that the love of liberty has not died in the hearts of Americans, no matter how much we moan that it has. People who don't do politics were tuning in. Over a million Tweets were reported. Something was happening.

Make them start defending their votes immediately. Never let them rest. Never let them catch their breath. We must unseat fully one half of Congress in 2016.

NDAA Traitors (we can prosecute them later...)

Ron Paul endorsed Paul Broun

Ron Paul endorsed Paul Broun instead of Grayson, Broun is in second place in the polls with 15%, Grayson is dead last with 0.2%, and yes, you read that right

you NEED a working together

you NEED a working together of guys like Trevor and Alex and Michael to jointly to emaile advertising for money bombs to fund liberty candidates that are found here and also to have people who know ow to run campaigns. you can't just rant online. you have to actually do the work and it starts immediately.

Target Pelosi

Pelosi, Feinstein, Boxer. Ron Paul said many times that you don't have to throw them out, they always have their finger to the wind, to see which way it's blowing and they will change the way they vote.

Be the wind.

What do you think? http://consequeries.com/

The problem is a Republican is never going to win in San Fran

...John Dennis tried twice and ran a great campaign both times. She'll have to be unseated in a Democratic primary, someone like a Kucinich could do it.

Release the Sandy Hook video.

Yeap. Use peoples' party

Yeap. Use peoples' party loyalty against them. Gotta be smart.

It is time to

It is time to resurrect this thread.

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

Here's a potential Candidate: "TMOT" Derrick E Grayson from GA

He announced an exploratory committee for US Senate. www.graysoncommittee.com

I am sure there are many othetrs. Some tried in 2012 and were unsuccessful. Perhaps a draft effort for the likes of:
Tisha Cassida- CO
Scott Bowman- MI
and others elsewhere...

Find the people where you live and help promote their efforts, spread the word, donate, volunteer, and support.

Living in and experiencing full on socialism, I honestly believe the USA is running out of time FAST! 2014/16 May be the last two chances to get it right and turn things around.

An alternative to the MSM Machine http://freedombroadcastingnetwork.com/
Ron Paul friendly news: http://www.newsetal.com/

Bump for Grayson, Cassida, Bowman!

Run patriots run! Here's your first 20 bucks if you do, just to be first.

Sue4theBillofrights, you always make good posts ;-)

I can't tell you how many times I've been enjoying a thread only to look up and see it's another Sue4theBillofrights's special. Always seem to be one step ahead of most others.

One thing I'd differ with you on this time though is the moneybombs or any fundraising for that matter. If the wildly successful money bombs of years passed have taught us anything it should be how very little money actually matters. We have to think up a strategy for eliminating the MSM from the equation. Period.

Thank you! In a word, organized remote phone banking

Back in the day we would have given a right arm for free phone calls across the country and software to produce lists. I'd say anyone who can download a list of registered voters in a district and filter them by likely-to-vote (say, voted in the last 2 elections,) then match home phone numbers, then find volunteers, I'd say you stand a fair shot. That's because now you can get volunteers from anywhere in the country now because cellphone long-distance is free. That means a community like DP can work for anybody anywhere and put them over the top.

It used to take a lot of money to have a phone bank operation, rent a room, pay for lots of phone lines etc.

Then people on the ground in the CD can focus on shopping centers and malls, and door to door.

In Parallel.

States must amend the Constitution a prohibit Congress from borrowing on the faith a credit of the United States.

From 1791 until 2013 Congress borrowed nearly 17 trillion.

From 1791 to 1913 Congress borrowed 4 billion toys.

4350 times what Congress borrowed in the first 120 years.

Congress created the Federal Reserve. The Federal Reserve spread poverty far and wide,

Free includes debt-free!

Not Half!! ALL OF CONGRESS. ALL of Congress!

Not Half!! ALL OF CONGRESS. ALL of Congress!

All of them must know fear. All of them must be terrorised. All of them must believe they are going to lose their jobs and be unwanted as lobbyists.

The way to do this is through mass action! The people must unite and threaten their legislators with unemployment, REGARDLESS of the political landscape.

Once our congressmen and senators FEAR for their jobs, the yellow stripe down their backsides will turn into a stomach full of iron, and we will see some positive changes.

If that cannot happen, well, the big multinational corporations will ride America into the grave, and hop off the backs of their bought lackeys in Congress to look for greener pastures to rape.

"Cowards & idiots can come along for the ride but they gotta sit in the back seat!"

I like it. It's not enough to vote against NDAA,

...we expect our congressmen to loudly denounce it. So far I hear only Justin Amash doing his job to defend the Constitution.

Anyone know how to make a spread sheet with all congressmens' names and boxes for if they have a challenger, name of challenger, primary, general election, or both? Then we could put it up for people to look at and be tempting to fill in that big white space.

Even if you think you are not a perfect candidate, officially announcing a challenge based on NDAA alone would have a marvelously invigorating effect on the country, and you can say, "if a more qualified defender of the Constitution steps forward to challenge, I will step aside and support him/her."

Getting the word "challenge" in the air is important, to let them know there is no more free ride, they have finally ticked off too many of us.

Lastly a public challenge serves as an educational vehicle to talk about NDAA to the many people who do not know about it. It's a win-win.

Our Former Republic IS Doomed, so Forget About DC..

...and start thinking about state and local government, and what we should do differently in America 2.0 to keep the same thing from happening again. IOW, think like the writer of this book... http://www.amazon.com/Localism-A-Philosophy-Government-ebook...

Localism is for people who can still sleep at night even though somebody they don't know in a city they have never been is doing things differently. ("Localism, A Philosophy of Government" on Amazon for Kindle or Barnes and Noble ebook websites)

I don't forget about anyone who is taking a quarter of...

...my paycheck, they would love for us to write off any chance of defeating them in elections. I'd say since NDAA and drone assassination the landscape has changed for Liberty candidates. Our greatest enemy is us falling asleep and getting demoralized right at the moment of our greatest opportunity. What are Jake Townsend's plans?

Release the Sandy Hook video.

Look in the mirror.

We're doomed unless we stop accepting dollars - the currency that funds these terrorists.

Perhaps true but not very helpful. Do you really think people

will turn down their paycheck because it is denominated in dollars? (if I am reading you correctly)

The force of law is determined by congress. To make changes like abolishing the Fed, we need the force of law. Nothing will change until we get it, although your suggestion would be one of the ways to get there.

Release the Sandy Hook video.

Most sadly, I fear this might very well be EXACTLY ALL OF what it comes down to, people.

Very, very plausible at least.

Our Republic is Doomed?

Where did you get the idea that the American Empire, United States, Inc. was a republic? You must be reading the constitution or federalist papers. I've read Zane Grey but I don't think I live in the wild west. Man, how many times have I read that here on DP, “were not a democracy, we're a republic.” Holy smokes...

We're a Witches Brew; a semi-democracy of manufactured consent with privatized profits, socialized losses, and plundered institutions. All this and more is morphing into a communo-fascist machinery that is about to stand up and walk on its own. First we need to realize that we've been Crisscrossing the Rubicon for decades – no, longer. Welcome to Blissloss. Then we need to stop feeding this beast and start feeding ourselves. Jettison these change-the-world delusions of grandeur and start growing food...

Jane Doe: “Stranger, do you think 911 was pulled off by our government?”
Stranger: “I don't even know what the hell 'our government' is”

The math of governing may be simple, but the reality is as complex as under-the-skin RFID. Don't get me wrong, I agree with your take on the NDAA, it's another 10 penny through the public wrist. But you gots to understand, the current situation is as looney as a toon. The coyote ran off the cliff, yet the law of gravity is deferred until he looks down. Our society is the coyote. And waking everyone up is metaphorically equivalent to everyone looking down. It will happen – but it's nothing to wish for; beep, beep, Cyprus.

:o)

Track Congressman spending. A small price to pay.

[Theater curtain opens]
Butch Cassidy: What happened to the old bank? It was beautiful.
Guard: People kept robbing it.
Butch Cassidy: Small price to pay for beauty.

[Butch & Sundance Kid are robbing Woodcock's train for the second time]
Butch Cassidy: You can't want to get blown up again.
Woodcock: Butch, you know that if it were my money, there is nobody that I would rather have steal it than you. But, you see, I am still in the employment of E. H. Harriman of the Union Pacific Railroad!
----------------------------------------------------------------
Butch Cassidy: [to Sundance about E. H. Harriman of the Union Pacific Railroad paying posse to track robbers] If he'd just pay me what he's spending to make me stop robbing him, I'd stop robbing him.

Disclaimer: Mark Twain (1835-1910-To be continued) is unlicensed. His river pilot's license went delinquent in 1862. Caution advised. Daily Paul

Red Button or Green Button, no inbetween

Anyone who has ever been part of a legislative body or has any actual idea how it all works perfectly understands what I mean. Would we make the same list for refusing to pay soldiers overseas? Red button or green button. Not saying they were right, just saying it's a choice with more layers than you know.
Do you realize that most people who call themselves advocates of liberty actually don't even know what NDAA stands for much less that it is an annual bill that has been passed every year for decades. Why don't they know? They're Americans. If TV doesn't tell the full story the full story doesn't get told. Even this comment will get voted away because it's true and truth sucks because it's boring and mundane.

I think the old "holding soldier's pay hostage"

ploy is spent because people know you can separate bills out for separate votes. in fact it is such a transparent ploy it is an insult to the intelligence of the voter and anyone using it should be tossed out.

Release the Sandy Hook video.

No mercy, no forgiveness.

No acceptable justification. Out with this lot!

What would the Founders do?

How are "we" going to do

that with rigged "elections" and voting machines? You think CIA "asset" Obama was elected?

Ron Paul said we need to be all over the election

process like a cheap suit. Poll watchers count how many people walk in and how many walk out. This is your approximate number of votes. If it doesn't add up we know right away and start howling bloody murder. Make attempts to rig the vote very expensive.

Focus on races with paper trail balloting, which is most states now (funny SC, critical primary, is one state with zero paper, either ballots or audit trail.)

When we take control of our democracy we will take control of voting too. Ultimately back to all paper ballots. Saving trees is a good thing in many processes. Voting is not one of them.
