I Will Not Kill/A Rant

"What a stupendous, what an incomprehensible machine is man! Who can endure toil, famine, stripes, imprisonment & death itself in vindication of his own liberty, and the next moment . inflict on his fellow men a bondage, one hour of which is fraught with more misery than ages of that which he rose in rebellion to oppose" Thomas Jefferson

I'm having a "wordy day"...doing some research, thinking and writing myself e-mails with my research . So I'm not going to blog or mess-up another forum topic with too many words. Instead I am going to thank Michael for the bandwidth to rant and then be buried. My rant is simple: I want great-grandchildren and so I will not be a party to senseless killing. Perhaps if you, too, want great-grandchildren, there may be something in here for you.

I try to follow Dr. Paul's lead and understand that he is fervently committed to correcting distorted public opinion fostered by a globalist-driven media, changing a lobbyist-driven Congress, eliminating "bought and paid for" administrations, blocking entitlements that foster corporate greed and avarice, encouraging free-enterprise by eliminating monopolies. Dr. Paul is all about changing the underlining root causes of my "issues"...my need to rant. Dr. Paul cares about my yet unborn great-grandchildren.

I will not be inscripted to kill people I have no beef with, for oil...for power. I'm too old,but my grandchildren may be drafted.. As a result, I may not have great-grandchildren. Or perhaps my great-grandchildren will be like my my Viet Nam veteran brother whose life has been a waste due to being forced into another war. (Just this year the veterans administration is finally supporting him. Or, are they? I think he is a test subject for pharmaceutical companies as he is taking forty questionable pills a day.)

From the Ron Paul Library/Ron Paul on the draft:

Nineteen documents above show that Ron Paul has been fighting to keep my grandchildren alive for a very long time, first article is in 1997.
Whew, I might have great -grandchildren after all, if Ron Paul is elected. This is important to me. (BTW, thank you Ron Paul Library!)

From I Will Not Kill/ great site
On May 26, 2005 Rep. Charles Rangel (D-NY) renewed his call for the reinstatement of the military draft. Additionally, on May 18 Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) introduced a bill to repeal the Selective Service Act. Paul's bill will eliminate the Selective Service System and give a definite assurance that a draft is truly, not coming back. From Killing Our Own Kind/great article
According to Col. Grossman, ordinary soldiers are reluctant to personally and individually kill the enemy. He quotes the statistic that in World War II, only about 15-20% of American soldiers actually fired their weapons at the enemy. Similarly, in both the Civil War and World War I, there are indications that most non-professional soldiers elected to not actually try to kill the enemy. In fact, Grossman claims, ordinary humans experience a high stress level when put in the situation of having to kill other humans at close range which results in high degree of psychological trauma. It should be pointed out that of those who do their best to try to kill the enemy, there are many who kill for pleasure rather than just duty. Hopefully, those that get pleasure from killing are the professional soldiers and not employees of the Postal Service. Read more at:

So Much For Smart Bombs
"American strategists have calculated the proportion of civilians killed in this century's major wars. In the First World War 5 per cent of those killed were civilians, in the Second World War 48 per cent, while in a Third World War 90-95 per cent would be civilians." Colin Ward, Anarchy in Action

IF Thomas Jefferson (above is right), I am confused

-about the willingness to throw out one of the ten commandments..."Thou shalt not kill." Is it like the constitution from our founding fathers and just another "damn piece of paper?" Perhaps another commandment, "Honor your father and your mother" should come into play. Founding Fathers means, to me, people who cared about future generations.
-about some Christian attitudes that "Mr. God" needs me to bomb the Middle East in order to help him bring about an Apocalypse. My "Mr. God" does not contradict himself.
-about why it apparently is politically incorrect for "little children "red and yellow black and white" to join hands and sing about peace and getting along.? I miss them.
-about my reading of other religious texts and their flavor of the ten commandments (you know they all have them) http://www.submission.org/quran/ten.html .Is it possible that some Muslims distort "a violent history" documented in their texts to serve their own nefarious means just like some Christians. Why do I see all these net organizations of People...Muslims, Jews, Christians etc. for Peace. Maybe they are God's remnant.
Hmm...maybe Ron Paul is part of God's remnant. Hmmm.

When Would I Kill?
If you point a gun at my parents, my husband, my children and my grandchildren, I will kill you. If someone points a gun at your family, I just might be persuaded to kill them to protect your family. Still, it would haunt me. And, if a child got in the way of my bullet, well, I don't even want to think about that. Ron Paul says. They hate us because we are "over there" killing killing their families.

People, our government, our Pentagon, our war schools are doing everything they can to insure our soldiers are able to pull their triggers. Study up on video games, war exercises, brain washing techniques used. Then study up on what kind of shape these soldiers...many of them little boys, to me...are returning in. And, yet I am told that I am un-Patriotic. I don't care. I will not support war in the Middle East. Thank you , I'm finished ranting. I feel better.
