I have an idea:

I would assume a lot of us have Facebook accounts. Today I am going to post a link to DailyPaul.com and explain why I love this website so much. The content we post here is unparalleled.

Would you join me in linking to DailyPaul today? DP normally gets about 100K hits unless Rand is filibustering! This little experiment could drive more people to our movement and philosophy. Its certainly a great way to expose people to an alternative view of what is 'mainstream'.

Its just an idea. Hope you like it and join me!

Never go to facespook for any reason

I'm reaching up and reaching out.
I'm reaching for the random or what ever will bewilder me.
And following our will and wind we may just go where no one's been.
We'll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no one's been.
Spiral out.

Question ?

Why do I think the government agencies I dislike and distrust the most routinely monitor and report on this website the most?

... I must be paranoid.

Don't Give me Liberty, I'll get up and get it myself!

Good idea.

I'm in.

I've referred a few people to

I've referred a few people to this site but they got turned off by all the issues that have nothing to do with liberty.

I still think there needs to be a separate section for things that have nothing to so with liberty.

same here

"I've referred a few people to this site but they got turned off by all the issues that have nothing to do with liberty."

Same here. I tell them not to judge the content by the headlines. While there is a lot of well thought, well articulated, intelligent content on this site, most of it is hidden behind a terrible headline title. Choosing a title for a composition is often not as easy and requires as much time and thought as went into the composition alone. The headline is as important as anything your trying to express in the article under it. Maybe more. Unfortunately people are largely headline and byline readers. Especially nowadays where there is more news and information available at the finger tips than one person could possibly view in a day, headline scanning is a necessary method of gathering daily news. It's an art, a skill that many of us, myself included, have not much talent. lol

"Don't Judge a book by the cover" is easier said than done when you're picking something to read in the largest library of information ever known in the history of mankind.

Absolutely!

We need to make it a pet peeve of posting on the DP and let people know in the comments that, making random postings on the liberty forum is rude and to find the appropriate forum topic. With that being said it would be nice if the off topic section got a little more love on the front page. People might be more willing to place their comment or article under the right topic if they knew it might actually be seen.

I know many around here are afraid the conspiracy theories that constantly pop up discredit the site and can scare new people away but just stick a little disclaimer above the forum topic "The views expressed here are not necessarily the views of this... yada yada yada." Place it on the bottom of the page and let people post whatever they want. It'd make life for the moderators a WHOLE lot easier.

my two cents.

what I posted

This is my favorite website for news and activism on the internet. If you have never checked it out, may I encourage you to surf on over. You will find the things that never get reported on television, activist posts alerting to bad bills being pushed in DC, interesting documentaries and overall its just a cool website.
