Rand's fillibuster said was wonderful but then he immediatly follows up with calling for a social engineering federal ban on abortion and by signing this cringing pro-Israel letter.

We are all Palestinians

Rand is in the snake pit, but does he have any idea how many of us want Israel out of our government? Exposing the insidious, deceptive practices if this unfortunate yet deliberate scourge on the world would be a start. Exposing the forces behind its creation and the banks that are complicit in all this genocide would be a great day. Sorry Rand, didn't you know you can't make everybody happy and you just end up looking like a weak spined ass kiss?

He's playing politics Oh your

He's playing politics

Oh your lame attack on him for the abortion bill makes no sense.

Citizens of this country have a natural/ 9th amendment right to their life, liberty, and property.

All he is doing is defining when life begins. If life begins at conception, then the government has a role to play in protecting the natural right to life the baby has.

I, like many others, believe in a small limited government. The role of the government is to protect our lives, liberties, property, and pursuit of happiness. If our government only did this, then we would be set. So for Rand Paul to support the natural rights of a group that gets murdered, I applaud him for this.

I'm with you

These people are crazy.

Ron brought the Liberty movement together, Rand is expanding the crap out of it! :)

How does tossing thousands,

How does tossing thousands, if not millions, of women "murderers" in jail square with your limited-government views?

You are

putting your own words in this bill.

Nothing there about going to jail.

"Once you become knowledgeable, you have an obligation to do something about it."- Ron Paul

Who's going to jail?

No one

This stops the federal government's participation.. leave it up to the states to decide and get the dederal government OUT of the business of what is murder to many who don't want to pay for it.

Your confusing Rand's bill

Your confusing Rand's bill which would use the 14th Amendment to trump the rights of the states with Ron's Sanctity of Life Act which would empower the states. If Rand agreed with you, btw, he is sure keeping it a secret. His bill is quite clearly a federal ban.

Right.. a federal ban

not a state ban.

States can do what they want.. but he is restricting the federal government's participation and I see nothing wrong with that, and certainly no one going to jail.

If you don't think this will

If you don't think this will restrict the ability of the states to "do what you want," you need to re-read the fourteenth amendment. Since it was ratified in the late 19th century, that was the whole point of that landmark amendment!

Yeah I called Rand's office

Yeah I called Rand's office (202-224-4343). You should do the same. We need to push him to reintroduce the Sanctity of Life Act which would turn the choice back over to the states. The Life at Conception Act will end up pissing off more potential supporters than impressing pro-life conservatives.

Rand knows what he is doing

Rand knows what he is doing (unfortunately). He truly wants a federal ban via the 14th Amendment.

Sorry Atkinson but you sir

Sorry Atkinson but you sir are an idiot!
This is TOTALLY a federal issue. The federal government has a right to protect life. This is one of the few things I hated Ron Paul for..
He like many others claim that "well murder is left to the states!"
Well no state is stupid enough to legalize murder.
But for the sake of argument if Illinois was to legalize murder, would it not be the responsiblity of the federal government to say "HELL NO!"???
Obvious answer is yes.
And yes those mothers are "murderers"! They ordered the baby's death.
Hitler never TECHNICALLY "murdered" anyone either; he simply ordered it.
Can we sympathise with them? Yes of course, especially if they're raped.

An idiot? Go back to the

An idiot? Go back to the schoolyard.

Yes an IDIOT! I'm more

Yes an IDIOT!
I'm more sympathetic towards liberals socialist leanings than I am with people who think the Federal government doesn't have a role in things such as slavery or MURDER, because they don't hurt no body.
This is one of the few clear cut cases of things that should not be left to majority rule! Rule of the wolves!

Hey we are all like-minded

Hey we are all like-minded here. Let's not eat ourselves.

Even A Cursory Review...

...of any number of topics will indicate that 'we' are, in fact, not "all like-minded".

Not even close in many instances, actually.

If you are going to invite someone into your foxhole to watch your back, you had damn-well better know if they are desirous of stabbing you in it.

This is not a federal

issue. Federalism concerns here are broad and Rand should know better. People should call his office and ask him to remove the bill. It gives the federal government power that it does not have under the constitution.

"Government is not reason; it is not eloquence. It is force. And force, like fire, is a dangerous servant and a fearful master." George Washington

A question...

Why are we sucking Israel's di@k??? Can you say entangling alliances.

Aside from the fact that I

Aside from the fact that I mistook Rand's abortion bill for the Sanctity of Life Act (which he should have reintroduced instead of the Life at Conception Act) this AIPAC letter is, well, just a letter. Though I am tempted to call his office and ask why he didn't reintroduce Ron's bill.

I'm guessing

...that his handlers don't want him to be seen as riding daddy's coattails.

He didn't reintroduce his

He didn't reintroduce his dad's bill because he wants a federal ban, using the 14th to trump the rights of the states! Ron's Sanctity of Life Act, by contrast, is quite clearly against a federal ban and hopes to empower the states to wit:

"(2) the Congress recognizes that each State has the authority to protect lives of unborn children residing in the jurisdiction of that State."

Not a problem

The letter says "Don't go to the UN". Are all of you big UN supporters? I didn't think so. Rand is not as inconsistent as you're trying to paint him. I'm not saying he's perfect, but neither was Murray Rothbard.

so someone posts some random wordpress blog

that we have no idea is legit and people are already throwing Rand under the bus again.

I'm not even a Rand supporter.....but its clear people are still but hurt by the romney endorsement, and Iran sanctions.

Your Use of The Term...

...'hurt' is connotative of an emotive opposition to Rand Paul, rather than a reasoned assessment-based opposition to some of what he does.

Why is that?

Are you a woman?

I ask because women and girly-man frequently think, act and make judgements based on 'feelings' and often project that methodology onto others.

Girly Man. LOL

What is a girly man?

"A great civilization is not conquered from without until it has destroyed itself within" W. Durant

One Who... emotive, is driven by and acts on 'feelings' and is otherwise unmanly and chick-like.

chick-like..... even more LOL.

"A great civilization is not conquered from without until it has destroyed itself within" W. Durant

Are you but hurt from Rand's endorsement still?

If my comment was based on emotion, clearly yours is as well. You go out of your way to try and insult people, in a way that is not even creative. Normally insults are based on people's inability to control their emotions.
And where in my comment does it appear to show emotion? I don't express my "feelings" at all really.

Keep your pathetic attempts to yourself. You only make yourself look shallow.

Ol' Rand Sure is a Liberty-Wonder to Behold

All his secret, stealthy, liberty Trojan-horsery, his gamesmanship in his high-level three-dimensional 'liberty-chess' and his much lauded studious master-planned infiltration of the establishment with the ultimate goal of springing a 'liberty-trap', well, it sure is something to behold.

Heh, nice.

I got a good giggle out of this. Thanks :)
