Ammunition Magazine Manufacturer Magpul Leaving Colorado: Move Underway

"Our moving efforts are underway," Magpul chief operating officer Doug Smith said Wednesday. "Within the next 30 days we will manufacture our first magazine outside the state of Colorado."

One of three gun-control bills signed Wednesday by Gov. John Hickenlooper prohibits the sale of gun magazines that hold more than 15 rounds.

Hope they come to Texas! ;)

I don't think they are moving far.

I heard from my dad they are moving to Wyoming. I think he read it in the Denver Post a couple weeks ago. Either way it makes me sad that there will be thousands of new criminals in my home state.

let Magpul know how you feel.

I appreciate the re-write of the title

But Magpul is not just a magazine manufacturer, they make a heck of a lot more things than just magazines. They are a MAJOR Gun Accessory Manufacturer with tons of products, even products non-related like Iphone cases. This is a stupid loss for Colorado for sure.

I won't leave Colorado

... no matter how bad the commie-crats screw things up with their "loving caring totalitarian" form of insanity. In fact this little mountain town is damn good ground with vast 2,900 acre Breckenridge Resort looming above town ...
Join me here in Breckenridge Colorado for our own little Galt's Gulch Project. Join me in opposing the Agenda 21 -loving humanity-hating Democrats as well as the warmonger Republicans. We are re-forming our local libertarian weekly meet - outs and more and more locals are beginning to sound a lot like liberty folk

godspeed magpul. how in the

godspeed magpul.

how in the heck is this mag ban going to be enforced?
These things don't come with serial numbers!

Buy mags before July 1, save the receipt, and then after July 1, drive to another state and buy more mags. and more mags, and more mags.

If anyone asks, the 5 mags you got in your range bag, was purchased before July 1, and here is the receipt to prove it. How in the heck is anyone going to be convicted of breaking this law? A few million soon to be "illegal" mags already in the state, and no mechanism to identify them?

No wonder the sheriffs are scratching their heads.

There was some state who offered to pay for their move

If they came to their state?

pay them with what? taxpayer's money? I want my state to make an environment for business that encourages them to come here...but I dont want the State stealing from me to give to companies as incentive.

May the road rise to meet them,

may the wind be on their backs.

I hope they move to Idaho. Someone I know called Magpul the first day that they said they might move and asked them to consider north central Idaho.

Moving the whole company

really shows some backbone. Surely it will be no small feat. Just for that, I am going to go buy a few P-Mags in support.
I recently sold my favorite Sig (Since they just contracted with the US Gov to provide them with weapons...if the Government ever comes for your guns, they will be armed and it will probably be a Sig or HK)and I loved that gun...but i feel so much better having got rid of it. I dont even want people to see me with one of their products at the range.I wont promote their products at all...and I WILL promote companies like Magpul.

I wouldnt sell my HK P30 just

I wouldnt sell my HK P30 just because the government might have them, I wouldnt want something that may not perform as well versus it......
