Did Michael (Nystrom) enjoy his experience with Bitcoin?

Dear Michael,

I am so curious about how your experience with receiving Bitcoin donations went.

Could you please comment?

Did Michael EVER comment on Bitcoin...and I missed it?

Could someone please let me know what has happened in the last year here? Bitcoin is really rocking the financial world, and the Central Banks are starting to feel the nudging squeeze Bitcoin was designed to deliver! :)

If anyone has a link to Michael's views on Bitcoin, I am still really curious

Yes, Happy George is Curious by nature... cousin to Curious George!

Only thing I heard months ago is that MN was holding.

I was wondering. Antiwar.com and LRC.com started accepting Bitcoin.

Currency is best if spent, IMO.

Michael? Where are you on Bitcoin?

I and a whole bunch of other people are still curious, have you made a public note on your experience with bitcoin?

Did I miss it, could someone direct me to a link or something...

Thanks :)

Bitcoin are for suckers.

my firm opinion.

i sleep well with my stack of silver coins and bars beside me.

i, like you

got into silver at around $16-$17 spot several years ago. i remember getting eagles on ebay 10 at a time for like $18ea with shipping, those were the days. i have been short on funds the last two years though and have been selling silver on the spikes. unlike you however i recently sold a bunch of silver on ebay before the crash for 34+ (got $380 for one bar) and bought bitcoins @29. i have been cashing out all my bitcoin profits lately for cash and was able to buy a few grand in silver with bitcoin profits last week. wish i would have waited a week because i sold when silver was at $28 and bitcoin was in the $70's . today bitcoins float around $140.
i just got some more silver yesterday at $27.40 or $27.60 i forget. if silver goes under $26 or low $26 i will get more, i got my apmex order ready to go.

devil's advocate...

silver coins are wonderful - nobody here will dispute that... but what about when you need to make a transaction quickly, securely, and across the country, or even internationally? How else can you do that without having your transaction tracked, monitored, and potentially blocked? What about when the government bans the purchase of silver and gold coins like they did in the 30's? You could simply comply, or you might use bitcoin to purchase them online. Bitcoin is not a perfect replacement for silver, and silver is not a replacement for bitcoin.

How do these random posts end

How do these random posts end up on the front page??

I'd say

because bitcoin is an interesting topic to everyone here (whether you believe in them or not)... and Michael is someone we trust.

That guy Santelli on CNBS made a good point

If something goes wrong with your bitcoin experience, who do you call?

Leges sine moribus vanae

When Jamie Dimond stole Celente's money. Who'd he call?

I think the perp was John 'The Slime' Corzine

Celente called someone and got some of his money back.

Leges sine moribus vanae

Corzine and crew ended up stealing some money.

I'm guessing he called his attorney.

I would use a bitcoin like a check that needs to be cashed to buy things I need to use and keep.

Then it is no longer my problem.

Im sure it turned out well,

Im sure it turned out well, but theres a catch. You cant buy honor and integrity. I will die a poor man before pushing something like Bitcoin.

Honestly:

Why did you even comment? Why do people like you do this to the DP? If you think BitCoin is a fraud or it's rigged or whatever, please state FACTS that you have.

I'm tired of all the fighting and I want the DP to move forward but people like you have some kinda bad taste in your mouth that you MUST share with everyone.

What I"m saying is, you can bash BitCoin until your hearts content, but why announce it to the masses like it's something important we should know about if you don't have any factual information to add to the conversation?

If you don't know your rights, you don't have any.

i don't think what he said is as bad as you are portraying

I've seen plenty of things far worse said about bitcoin.

I am still trying to figure the shit out. I mean I get it, I understand it but I have no idea how to buy into it, where do I keep it at? I have the bc wallet app for android and from that I understand that if I lose my phone there go my bc's.

I love www.isidewith.com shared it with everyone I know. If anything they realize its not just a red and blue idiot running for reelection.

A bitcoin is encrypted data.

You can save as many copies of your wallet as you want. You can even make a paper copy. Lose a wallet, then get out your backup.

Rule number one: Make backups. That's what I know for sure.
