*Red Alert: Get Out Of Gold And Silver! Use Paper Dollars!

If you own Silver and Gold get out Now!

First of all, Gold and Silver is in a Bubble. Look here is an Article that says it is: http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2012/08/17/gold-bubble...

Second, we already know the government has precedent to make it illegal to own Gold and Silver and will do it again. This will come with stiff Jail Sentences and downright forceful confiscation!

Third, The Government has labeled anyone owning precious metals as possible Domestic Terrorists. Sell your Silver and Gold now so you can live without fear of being persecuted by your government!

Forth, The Government is looking to regulate and record anyone who is purchasing physical Silver and Gold. They will Track you!

Now lets talk serious! For anyone here who owns Gold and Silver does any of that propaganda make Gold and Silver illegitimate as money? Does it give you reason to sell your Gold and Silver?

I dont think so... Sure, it's risk is a concern but considering the alternative which is to hold paper Dollars it's well worth taking the risk.

So why do all the Bitcoin haters try to use the same fear mongering propaganda techniques to downplay Bitcoins?

Look, are there hurdles to overcome? OFCOURSE there are! What, did you think the most powerful Banking Cabal would just lay down and die without a fight? Do you think there just going to relinquish power back in the hands of the people? No! There going to get their bought off government lackey's and Media whores to throw everything they got at Bitcoins. In my opinion this only legitimizes Bitcoin as a weapon that can be used against the Bankers!

End the Fed! Use Bitcoins!

Stock up on paper dollars now!

They're a great toilet paper substitute, as well as fodder for campfires.

bit coin is...

...stocking up on paper dollars...and then buying gold with it!

!!!Alert – Drop Bit Coins!!!

...or not. I mean, you know, it's your call. No worries

I read somewhere

That they are learning how to make gold.news.msn.com/.../scientists-may-have-made-a-golden-discover.

same as the old boss

The premise of Bitcoins is identical to fiat currency.

Besides the obvious arbitrary value (security is not liquid)...

The Greatest downfall is WHO decides how much to print.

A private company with no ties to oversight... applies to both the FED and Bitcoins.... therein lies the rub.

make your money and get out... the premise is designed to fail.

90% of what bitcoin detractors say is false

due to a lack of simple research and understanding.

You can't "print" bitcoins

You can't "print" bitcoins moron..

Your ignorance is...

Amusing!!! Lol!!!!

You scared

If you are smart enough to take your dollars out of their casino, then don't risk them again in Bitcoin. I'm not saying don't own any at all, but its has its quirks.
Why would I be scared of the Government taking my Silver? That is not going to go over too well. Government is loosing its legitimacy, this would speed up that process.

Ron brought the Liberty movement together, Rand is expanding the crap out of it! :)

I'd bet the Russians who held gold and silver...

...when they collapsed didn't fair so well...

Try to Open Your Mind

Read the WHOLE post. Put it together with the Corbett report on the front page today. ( Again, please watch the whole video). Hmmmmm. . . Definitely food for thought. I'm still learning and trying to understand bitcoin. It seems like it may at least have place in a well diversified liberty portfolio.

What happens to bit coins in

What happens to bit coins in a power failure or hard drive crash?

Power is eventually restored

Power is eventually restored and your hard drive backup worked just fine?

Yes. Keep in mind that most

Yes. Keep in mind that most people keep most of their Federal Reserve Notes in purely digital form -- as bits in some bank's computer. You are relying on good backup there. I've never used bitcoins but I see them as an interesting experiment in digital money. I knew that if they became popular the government would try to shut the whole thing down after making accusations of money laundering and tax evasion.

Remember, for as long as there is an income tax, and for as long as major parts of the economy are made illegal (such as drug sales) the government will not allow you to have any financial privacy.

The fact that Bitcoin

The fact that Bitcoin exchange can happen peer to peer (not using an exchange) makes it as good as untraceable cash, barter or metals trade.

So I could spend my FRNs on computerized digits that can never be manipulated online instead of hard assets that I can actually hold in my hand?

You deal with intangibles all

You deal with intangibles all the time, yet they still represent something of value. Say you gain work experience in a field you are interested in... Is that valuable? Can your work experience, something that cannot be held in your hands, be turned into something that will increase your income? Through networking, you meet people who may eventually become customers for your business... Is that valuable? You have an idea. You decide to use your experience trading gold and silver into a smartphone application that could yield you thousands of dollars in sales... Is that valuable?

I figured most people on here

were to simple minded to understand the point of this post.

It's really a shame how these so called libertarians are just feeble minded fools looking for something to cling on to.

Ah the old bait and switch.

I use it myself to great effect....if you consider great getting negged and reception-scored to the negative integers. But I think it teaches us a great lesson every time. Look before you leap.

Ideology might stop to consider the situation but not so dogma.

Most of those who think so actually don't and most of those who think sew actually rip.

It's called risk management

Get COMPLETELY out? I don't think so.

You should have some of each and all of none.

Are you really that dumb?

Or did you not read the post?

Sorry, I didn't even read the post before voting it down. This is a move I learned from Congress voting on bills.

If it's suppose to be funny....

...it needs to be in humor or weird stuff section.

Isaiah 2:4
And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

I'm confused

Why are people voting this down? Are they missing the sarcasm?

Or they believe bitcoin is a hoax? If the net dies, bitcoin dies. After the SHTF, you're not going to be buying provisions with bitcoin, because it requires authentication which can't be done locally.

I think the business opportunity is to put together bitcoin mining computers and sell them to miners who don't know how to put together their own boxes.

Take back the GOP and Restore America Now.

this is what I've been saying too. Bitcoin = useless after internet is gone. Get real commodities, gold/silver.

Isaiah 2:4
And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

Where did the Internet go?

Where did the Internet go?

I have a thousand dollars now that I will be glad to buy your...

silver coins at spot.

So you didn't read the post

But felt you should make a dumb comment.

Is this for real?

This really makes no sense... and yes... bitcoin... another easily manipulated currency that is really only a line of 'credit' because its digital. Only good thing is the Gov.. does not own it...yet. But, if the internet gets shut down then bitcoins are useless. Gold and silver is the wisest resource aside from commodities like rice and grains.

Isaiah 2:4
And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

In a "doomsday" scenario,

In a "doomsday" scenario, silver and gold would be essentially useless also. Only items essential to immediate survival would be far more valuable (depending on the nature of the doomsday event, naturally). If a gigantic meteor struck the Earth, food and shelter would take precedence, possibly air filters.
