Corbett Report: How to Defeat CISPA Once And For All!

Thanks to DPer FreeThink2012 for pointing to this episode in his comment here on the Daily Paul.

Show Notes: How to Defeat CISPA Once and For All

In the mean time, until we get our pirate internet up and running, please take a moment to contact your representatives in Congress to grovel, beg, and plead with them to please, please actually do their freaking job and represent us by rejecting this legislation.

Then get back to work on building the real solution.

This biggest selling point is being missed in all this.

I've been pushing this for years now. I'm glad it's finally getting some mass awareness. However, I have to ask, "Why not market this on all fronts?" Instead of just saying it's going to help keep the internet freedom alive, we need to also promote that it makes internet access eventually cost-free.

That's right. Monetarily speaking, if an entire city had mesh coverage and a few fast external connections under private control to the next city, all the residents could both connect for the cost of the equipment alone (most of which they already own) and could speed up the access to everyone already doing so.

Personally, I see this as the future of the internet. Gone soon will be all ISPs and government regulated entities. Mesh networks will blossom to give dozens to thousands of overlapping networks access to any one member, nationwide, and censorship will become a historical joke. ("Back in my day..." "Grandpa, you're making this stuff up!") Only long distance fiber links (think trans-oceanic, etc.) will sell ultra high speed, high capacity interconnection. And the best part is that they will have zero ability to censor because slower links will still be able to circumvent them so their only selling point is speed and capacity.

Here is another free mesh network for your phones

Its already available on the Android google pplay store

Does not require root it seems

update. Required root access on my samsung galaxy . However installed just fine on nexus 7 tablet without root access prompt. Most likely cause tablet is wifi only....hmmm...testing if this software will bridge or tether 4g through this mesh software.

ehh, looks like unsupported drivers for galaxy s2.

Bathing in wireless pollution

... this wonderful "solution" will increase this health hazard.
Remember glass? Fiber optic glass wired Internet is faster, healthier, and could be secure if the "nodes" were sovereign competing companies in a free-market de-centralized network:

Free Mesh network, download it here.

Download link to alpha software.

There is also video from the creators. Based on opensource (Slackware, Linux)

Thanks Michael!

I've been trying to say the same last year on http://relate4ever.wordpress.com/2012/08/13/internet-alterna... from an European perspective.

Positive support for Ron Paul ideas! Support from the Restoration and Liberty Movement on http://cristianpaduraru.com

Sovereign Mesh Networks

... have my 100% support. However, Corbett's sentiment that "we'll just ignore evil and it will magically go away" is dangerously misguided and doomed to failure : the NSA cyber security complex will counter or co-opt this challenge just as the globalist-hijacked Pentagon will send Reaper Drones to wipeout your fancy "libertarian enclave" in Argentina or Antarctica ...
Don't drop out of the direct political & information war for liberty... just drop out of the banking insurance ID# bigbrother matrix,, drop out of the government fraud while fighting for liberty on all fronts simultaneously

This is a Full Spectrum War for liberty : every liberty measure needs every liberty warrior's support.

I am so un-tech savvy, yet this makes so much sense!

I hope that this video goes viral and that those that can make this happen, do make it happen. I wish I could help build it. However, I am here and will be able to support the effort when and where I can. Make this happen, techies! The internet is too important to let go of w/out the effort to keep it moving/going. Imagine what it would be like w/out the DP, for instance. Perish the thought!

i've been recently

getting into shortwave radio... for sure shortwave is going to be our key if they take down the landline network. people already do peer to peer networking via shortwave and play games \ trade files using z-modem protocol (how cool is that?) :)

ahh it brings back some good memories...

I use Blue Wave, but don't expect one of THEIR silly taglines.

If you use the internet to read the DP...

...then you need to watch this great report.

For those of us suffering from shortattentionspanitis, the Solutions discussion starts @22:22.

SPOILER: Mesh Networks

Thank you for bringing this to our attention FreeThink2012 & Michael!

Very Fascinating.

Very Fascinating.

Politicalless Mesh Networks

Politicalless Mesh Networks that James Corbett talks about. Very interesting. I think I just invented a new meme, (PMN).

What I learned from Octobox

Voting and lobbying is not a means to achieving freedom. It never has been, and it never will be. This report is a perfect example.

Begging for your freedom is not freedom.
