It took me quite a while to find this vote. The government sure
doesn't make it easy to find out what they are up to!

This isn't a tax increase

It's collection of taxes already due. If you live in a state with no sales tax, this will have no effect on you. If you live in a state with a sales tax, then you're supposed to be already paying the tax and this scheme will enforce payment.

Since when is dodging taxes reasonable? The problem with taxes is that they exist at all, not that it's challenging to evade them. If you don't like this, do something about it--have your STATE cease collecting sales tax.

Personally, I support sales taxes, because they ensure that people who don't pay income taxes still have skin in the game.

Take back the GOP and Restore America Now.

Old Poor Richard, taxation is

Old Poor Richard, taxation is theft. If you believe the theft is owed, then you are an enthusiastic slave.

it's this type of mentality that makes you Old Poor Richard instead of just Old Richard :)

I was wondering how you get

elected with a name like Flake ... but then realized who the other senator from the state was.

Even if these Globalist Redcoats

were to pass a bill to tax internet transactions, how much would it cost to enforce it? How many thousands of government employees would they have to hire to enforce it? This will just move more business out of the US to offshore to avoid the taxes, producing less capital, what itots! When will taxation without representation finally reach to a real revolution?

so is this going to the house

so is this going to the house of rep. or did it already pass the house?

this is so bizarre.

(The Internet is such a big pie to drool upon, for them parasites, ain't it?)

I won't shed a single tear. I won't have a single thought for them.

I know you have noticed

the prices on shipping are going up up up.
This would kill most internet and catalog sales.
Ebay better watch out.

It's time! Rand Paul 2016!

"Truth, Justice, and the American Way!"

the Democrats voting no

are 2 from Oregon, 2 from Montana, and 1 from New Hampshire.

Wyden of Oregon tweeted how this will favor overseas companies since they will be exempt from this.

Of course, my CORRUPT...

bailout, ndaa, UNpatriot act, senators supported it!

I didn't even have to look to know that.

Corrupt to the core. Treasonous to the end.

So Rand Paul...

So Rand Paul is opposed of a new tax on the internet?

Is that correct?

That's good. All the other Senators did not oppose it?

Yes, Senator Rand Paul is against Internet Sales Tax

He's right there on the list after Murkowski.

Right. Seventy five senators think we need
to increase taxes by $24 billion:

I hope he is leading the charge against it!

This is going to put me the little guy out of business. I just hope we can kill this bill. This is just making me sick to my stomach.

the real little guys will be exempt

for what that is worth (under one million I think). That in itself really isn't fair either. This will kill Oregon businesses that are not even set up to collect sales taxes at all. Funny how mail order businesses never had to do this because it would impeded interstate commerce. They are just looking for more taxes, more money.

This was a non-binding vote this time so now is the time to let your Senators know how you feel....before they vote on it for real.

I sell used iphones and at $300 a pop I'm going to break a million at some point soon. I do 80% through eBay and I have a feeling they will go after them as a hole. I just hope we can find some outrage and kill this bill in the house. I have already sent letters to both of my senators and my congressman. I just don't see this ending well for me or the rest of the little guys. I think we are watching the greatest free market experiment fall to them. The internet creates real jobs and the government should just stay out of it. I think it is working just fine the way it is.

kill the bill!

What you might have to do to avoid it, is to split your company up into smaller companies....one for each type of phone or something totally stupid like that!.

Really I hope these people come to their senses. If it comes to pass then I see an national transaction tax in the future, and an Oregon sales tax---> which I really hope never happens.

I guarantee they are going to screw over eBay and the little guy on that also!

Thank you for your hard work. I know from my own research on issues, it is quite hard sometimes.

Thank you for making the effort

Much appreciated.
