Paralysis Cases Spike in Wake of Bill Gates' Polio Vaccination Effort in India.

Excellent VIDEO

The following is from the Indian Journal of Medical Ethics

"Furthermore, while India has been polio-free for a year, there has been a huge increase in non-polio acute flaccid paralysis (NPAFP). In 2011, there were an extra 47,500 new cases of NPAFP.

Clinically indistinguishable from polio paralysis but twice as deadly, the incidence of NPAFP was directly proportional to doses of oral polio received. (the vaccine contains a synthetic polio virus and not the wild polio virus found in nature)

Though this data was collected within the polio surveillance system, it was not investigated. The principle of primum-non-nocere was violated.

Synthetic polio makes eradication impossible

"The charade about polio eradication and the great savings it will bring has persisted to date. It is a paradox, that while the director general of WHO, Margret Chan, and Bill Gates are trying to muster support for polio eradication it has been known to the scientific community, for over 10 years, that eradication of polio is impossible.

Wimmer writes that the test-tube synthesis of poliovirus has wiped out any possibility of eradicating poliovirus in the future."

The elephant in the room: the problem of non-polio Acute Flaccid Paralysis (AFP)

It has been reported in the Lancet that the incidence of AFP, especially non-polio AFP has increased exponentially in India after a high potency polio vaccine was introduced (25).

In 2005, a fifth of the cases of non-polio AFP in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh (UP) were followed up after 60 days. 35.2% were found to have residual paralysis and 8.5% had died (making the total of residual paralysis or death - 43.7%) (28). Sathyamala examined data from the following year and showed that children who were identified with non-polio AFP were at more than twice the risk of dying than those with wild polio infection (27).

This is because in 2002 scientists had synthesised a chemical called poliovirus in a test-tube with the empirical formula C332,652H492,388N98,245O131,196P7,501S2,340. (this is the man-made virus in the vaccine)

Some people see infowars

and automatically discount the video or post, for some reason. I have found Alex Jones to be thorough in doing his research. I have also found other sources that back what he says, although sometimes the truth is hard to find if the PTB want the truth hidden.

In regard to the cases of paralysis it seems that the polio vaccine has a man-made polio virus in it, and it is the synthetic virus causing the paralysis.

Clinically indistinguishable from polio paralysis but twice as deadly, the incidence of NPAFP was directly proportional to doses of oral polio received.

The post above explains that and there is more on the website.

I've meticulously documented

I've meticulously documented the reasons for discounting this InfoWars piece. Your "some reason" language doesn't fly. I've give you a blow by blow of every misguided claim this piece makes. If, for "some reason," you don't wish to believe, you'll find all the links you need to decide for yourself --as credible sources routinely provide. Something InfoWars rarely does (and even when it appears it does, those links are usually just to other infowar-ish sites and blogs not to primary research).

By the way, the source article never blames a man-made polio virus with causing vaccine-induced polio. The article simply argues that because polio is an identified and constructible chemical chain, we can never consider it extinct or completely eradicated because of the potential for lab release.

This post put a bee in my

This post put a bee in my bonnet. As my aunt was a life-long nurse-missionary in India and dealt with polio infected patients before retiring a few years ago and as I had an older friend in the U.S. who had lived with the aftermath of polio her whole life and eventually took her own life, I know a bit about polio and, after reading and watching the sources posted here, I got a whiff of propaganda.

This sort of “reporting” sickens me. I’ve taken the time to tear it apart. It’s tedious to read, let alone research, which is why sources like those in the OP don’t both to do even a modicum of research. I fully expect most folks here not to be interested in polio in India enough to read this post. I only hope that those of you who are tempted to rely on such sources will take the time to see how this case study shows how unreliable these sources are. I’m not saying, InfoWars and BeforeIt’sNews aren’t thought provoking, just that they are so very often not reporting but propagandizing.

I care about the InfoWar sheeple — to use their own terminology — who long to ignore anything critical of the media source they rely on to prove themselves all free thinking-ish. I’m just going to post my rough draft of this and will edit it for brevity and niggy stuff after.

Before It’s News’ headline claiming, “Confirmed: India’s 47,500 Cases of Vaccine-Induced Polio Paralysis,” is utterly false. The 47,500 figure, which is not sourced in the article, comes from a WHO report and includes all acute flaccid paralysis cases, which can include wild polio, vaccine-induced polio, as well as a host of other infections and diseases. This headline is an outright lie. The number of AFP cases has risen in India since 1994 when the polio eradication project got underway, but many experts expected the rise as the project included a surveillance system that has grown and picked up more and more cases. Experts involved are debating how much, if any, of that growth is due to repeated doses of oral polio vaccine. The brazenly inaccurate headline is even shown for what it is in the body of the article. “It’s also estimated that up to 180 Indian children develop vaccine-associated polio paralysis (VAPP) each year.” Obviously, it can’t be true that 47,500 people get vaccine-induced polio and that 180 children get vaccine-associated polio. Children make up the overwhelming numbers of polio victims anywhere, anytime.

Just in the time I’ve been looking into this, the number of blogs and websites proliferating this falsity has at least doubled. Many are using this “source” as part of their anti-vaccine rhetoric. When in fact the authors of the original piece in the Indian Journal of Medical Ethics (“Polio programme: let us declare victory and move on” http://www.issuesinmedicalethics.org/202co114.html) are not arguing against vaccination, by any stretch.

They are arguing that now that India has achieved one year of being classified as polio free (wild polio free), it is on the path toward replacing oral vaccines, which are no longer used in more wealthy countries because of the risk of vaccine-induced polio, with intravenous vaccine, which are far safer and more effective but more costly. The authors fear that producers of the oral vaccine will cease production and India will be unable or unwilling to pay for the more expensive intravenous vaccine, leaving its children vulnerable once again.

“India needs to urgently ensure that adequate supplies of the vaccines that it requires are available for our children, so that this eradication adventure does not transform itself into an epidemic disaster.”

The authors make that case that because much of India’s anti-polio program was spurred by large donations from the U.S. government and from the Gates Foundation, the programs were not integrated into India’s general vaccination program. They fear that the pronouncement of the eradication of wild polio will diminish outside contributions, leaving India having to deal with both the loss of outside funding at the same time they transition to the more expensive intravenous vaccine.

Even worse than the Before It’s News “article,” is the InfoWars video.

Reporter: Over 48,000 children have been paralyzed in India due to polio vaccines linked to your foundation.

Obviously, she only read the false BIN headline. By the way, it’s also helpful to know that reported cases of acute flaccid paralysis AFP, include many that are temporary last only a few days and that “paralysis” is not defined in the surveillance systems as lacking mobility but includes weaken responses.

The reporter then proceeds to claim Bill Gates is into eugenics and killing off dead people. The evidence? Gates’ father was the head of Planned Parenthood and this quote from an interview with Bill Moyers that she puts on the screen: “And maybe the most interesting thing I learned is this thing that's still surprising when I tell other people which is that, as you improve health in a society, population growth goes down.” http://www.pbs.org/now/printable/transcript_gates_print.html

She makes no attempt to understand what Gates was saying. The rest of Gate’s answer to Moyer’s question was:

“You know I thought it was…before I learned about it, I thought it was paradoxical. Well if you improve health, aren't you just dooming people to deal with such a lack of resources where they won't be educated or they won't have enough food? You know, sort of a Malthusian view of what would take place.
And the fact that health leads parents to decide, ‘okay, we don't need to have as many children because the chance of having the less children being able to survive to be adults and take care of us, means we don't have to have 7 or 8 children.’ Now that was amazing.”

Gates is saying that he’d previously believed in the rat-population theory: if you feed them more (i.e. they’re healthier), they produce more babies, which will produce more babies, and so on until the source of food can’t sustain the population and you have a mass die off. Gates says he came to believe that people don’t act like rats and we aren’t doomed to cycles of unsustainable population and mass famines. He’s saying he’s come to believe that healthy people, who have reason to expect their children will be healthy, won’t need to produce as many children — fewer backup children, so to speak, because fewer die in childhood. We’re not rats, he’s saying. I doubt this reporter even attempted to understand Gates’ fairly clear reasoning here. If she’d bothered, she’d have to claim to follow the humans-procreate-like-rats-and-are-doomed-to-cycles-of-overpopulation-and-mass-starvation. She’d have to admit that she believes attempting to increase health and decrease infant and childhood morality are evil eugenic endeavors.

Reporter: “In the past Mr. Gates Openly advocated withholding end-of-life care to the elderly and using those funds to instead hire more teachers.” Here source is Gates’ interview at the Aspen Ideas Festival. http://www.aspenideas.org/session/conversation-bill-gates

Gates is asked: The proportion of GDP that goes to health care, is that over-allocated?
He basically says yes. He makes the argument that Medicare and Medicaid’s price fixing have gutted the U.S. health care system with specialists, who aren’t as locked into the rock-bottom prices and created a system that comes between doctor and patient. As a result, our health care system is, at least in an underground way, is controlled by government money and a fixed pool, for which many other government functions are competing. We’ve got this zero-sum game going on, but we refused to talk about it honestly. If you’ve got a zero-sum game, that means you have to be honest and cruel about how the zero-sum pie is divided up. That means looking unflinchingly at weather a second open heart surgery financed by tax dollars for a 86-year-old man is a better use of funds than three more teachers.

The reporter here completely misses Gates’ point. In short, he says, we’ve got a health care system that’s perverted by government programs and we’re sticking our heads in the sand and refusing to admit it. Worse, because admitting it would force us to treat the money taxpayers spend on that 86-year-old man as a trade off. If health care is government run, it becomes a zero-sum endeavor and that means we better get used to death-panel thinking.

Our next sad bit:

Reporter: “And he’s also announced that the goal of vaccines is to reduce the population by 10 to 15 percent.” She shows an ominous, in her mind equation, which means: CO2 Admissions = people on the planet X services each person uses X energy for each service X CO2 being emitted per unit of energy. Both her ludicrous statement and the equation are taken from Gates’ TED Talk titled Innovating to Zero. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EjINFTa3LMc

Gates asserts that to tackle global warming, the left side of the equation — the CO2 admissions — needs to get to zero. (Note the InfoWars piece does not attack Gates’ acceptance of global warming concerns and therefore this issue is neither part of IW’s report nor my discussion.) Gates goes through each expression in the equation

The first expression on the right side is population, Gates says is going up even if we improve health care. Even if we give reproductive control to more women, diminish childhood death and therefore remove incentives for parents to produce more children to account for high death rates. Even if those measures are effective, it will only decrease the increase. Gates estimates this expression at 1.3 — 1 being no change to the other side of the equation. In other words, Gates says, vaccinating millions won’t diminish the population one iota. See how this “reporter” linked the notion of vaccine deaths with her propaganda that Gates wants to use them to “reduce the population.”

The second expression — the services the world’s population uses — Gates argues should go up. This means more people having food, clothes, heating, lighting, communication, transportation.

The third expression — energy per service, or efficiency — here Gates says, “we finally have some good news. There are a lot of services where you can bring the energy for that service down quite substantially.” He estimates an optimistic reduction in this expression by a factor of 6.

The fourth expression — the amount of CO2 emitted per energy unit — Gates calls the “key one.” Every energy source except for renewables and nuclear puts out CO2, he says. Renewables, he says, typically have far less energy density, suffer from intermittence, transmittance problems, and storage problems. Major problems. He argues we need a big breakthrough.

He spends half of his speech talking about the five potential energy sources he views as having this potential. In other words, this speech is not about population control, and, in fact, Gates says that vaccines and other heath programs will not decrease population. He spends this TED Talk time championing innovation in energy efficiencies and energy sources that produce little or no CO2.

Reporter: “So what does it matter if 48,000 children suffered permanent neurological damage and were paralyzed if it’s in the name of philanthropy? But the problem is these vaccines have actually been shown to cause the very diseases they’re supposed to prevent.”

So what does it matter that this reporter completely abused the numbers, as I’ve already covered? So what does it matter that she ignores the drastic reduction in the numbers of Indian children who contract polio? In 1994, when the eradication program got some steam going, there were 4, 791 new cases of polio reported. http://csis.org/files/publication/120117_Schaffer_PolioIndia....
As of the 2012 report, there are 0 wild polio cases; 1 confirmed vaccine-caused, and 25 possible vaccine-related cases. http://www.npspindia.org/bulletin.pdf. Even if we take the 2011 reported figure of 180 supposed confirmed vaccine-related polio cases (none of the linked sources in this post provided a primary source and I couldn’t find it), that’s 4, 611 people who didn’t get polio in 2011 because of the program. And very few people who get polio die, most don’t even suffer permanent paralysis of any area. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poliomyelitis

I must admit that I started this verification process of tracking back sources hours ago, thinking it would be fun and doubting there were any real nefarious motivations on the part of InfoWars. By the time I got done, it was pretty hard for me to stick to that initial mindset. I see InfoWars deliberately obfuscating and misinterpreting in order to create a lie. It’s shameful. I come away disgusted.

The following is from the Indian Journal of Medical Ethics

"Furthermore, while India has been polio-free for a year, there has been a huge increase in non-polio acute flaccid paralysis (NPAFP). In 2011, there were an extra 47,500 new cases of NPAFP.

Thanks for your comment. I added the Indian Journal of Medical Ethics to the post above. I do not believe all that appears online. Usually Infowars has done the research, and I do the research also.

The problem with the vaccine seems to be that it has introduced a synthetic virus that is causing the paralysis, and some scientists say this man-made virus cannot be eradicated. I would never give that vaccine to my children.

The authors mis-use the word

The authors mis-use the word "extra" at for English language speakers. He does not mean, in "excess of" by this word. He simply means that there were 47,500 reported cases of AFP -- wild polio, vaccine-induce polio, and numerous other infections and diseases that result in weakened response. He does not cite a source for the number, although I'm not inclined to find fault with it as the WHO numbers for 2012, the only ones I could find, were 61,000.

The authors' assertion that the rise in reported AFP cases is "directly proportional" to doses of oral vaccines is being debated among the folks in the field. As the authors acknowledge in the Journal piece, much of the observed increase is attributed to the growing surveillance system -- the if-you-build-it-they-will-report-it-phenomena. Another part of it comes from a trade off India made when it embarked on this fast-and-cheap-fix eradication program. India knew and U.S. philanthropists knew that oral vaccines are inherently more risky. That's why the U.S. and other wealthy countries inject their children rather than dose our children. But the cost of supplying intravenous vaccines was about five times as much. In other words, you could save five times more children from polio by using oral vaccines. Even knowing the trade-offs, that some will die as a result, what sort of person would not proceed?

Only the person who is so mentally-encumbered as to not see the human suffering behind the numbers that no longer tally the suffering and injured. The sources you cited, were so mentally-encumbered they chose to ignore the 4,611 who did not suffer polio as a result of cheap and easy oral vaccines for the 180 who may have.

The entire reason for the sources you provided to put forth their articles was a piece that, in fact, was all for more vaccines. The authors are simply worried about the transition period. They are worried that now that India is polio free, and thus expected by the WHO to transition from cheap oral vaccines to more expensive intravenous vaccines so that it can focus on protecting the small percentage who contract oral-vaccine polio, it will fail. The authors are complaining about the U.S Government and the Gates Foundation and Rotary International eradicating wild polio and leaving India to deal with a tiny bit of vaccine-induced polio on it's own.

Thumbs up. That was a useful, well articulated commentary. I have learned to never trust a headline, any headline. Just as I have learned not to trust humans, especially very wealthy and powerful humans. I will thoughtfully consider your comments and do my own research.

Having said that, I wouldn't let Bill Gates babysit my kids, much less vaccinate them, neither will anyone else be doing so. There is far too much evidence concerning the health risks of vaccination programs in small children as well as some adults.

See Gulf War Syndrome.

As to human induced global warming due to increased CO2 emissions, it's a well documented hoax. CO2 presents no danger to the planet whatsoever, until of course, you factor in the degree to which it has distracted the public from the much more pressing issues of deforestation, a growing shortage of potable water, the hazards of nuclear power (extinction), a thousand other forms of environmental polution, geo-engineering, genetic engineering, not too mention the global system of taxation and control that the CO2 hoax has been designed to facilitate.

I'm not suggesting that our planet is not experiencing drastic changes to the climate or that we should be unconcerned. Planetery changes are obvious, but hardly a new phenomenon.

Many thanks, Auntie. As you

Many thanks, Auntie.

As you know, the source pieces linked and quoted in the OP were not concerned with global warming; in fact, the InfoWars piece was so unconcerned that it twisted Gates' talk about global warming into "proof" that Gates' vaccine philanthropy is a evil plan to kill people and reduce the population.

The vaccination debate is certainly thriving and you can find reasonable and informed people on both sides. Even were I to decide that vaccinations aren't effective, I would in no way assume those who accept the standard research that vaccination -- from George Washington's war-time pus-transfer to today's multi-virus inoculations -- are evil people bent on killing millions.

The articles linked in this OP are trying to make the case that vaccines are bad based on at best sloppy. I'm always suspicious of folks who need to resort to sloppy reporting to make their point. They could be right. But, if they are, why do they need to abuse the facts? It just posts a red flag for me. We deserve and should demand genuine reporting and information. It's the only hope we have of taking reasoned positions on such complex issues.

Thanks for caring about polio in a faraway land.

"Dark Cloud Over...

Good Works of Gates Foundation"

Note: this came from an LA Times investigation in 2007. Part of the "good works" referred to in the title is the vaccine program; it's *before* the connection was made between the vaccines & paralysis.

I forget if the article also mentions bt cotton, what is now known to reduce crop yield by 40%. http://www.nationofchange.org/sorry-monsanto-govt-admits-gm-...

It's a great article, but in any event, now there's less good and an even darker cloud.
