Maybe the surveillance state is the way to awaken the sleeping masses?Submitted by kevink on Mon, 03/25/2013 - 11:09
Billy Corgan said that AJ needed to reach people in other ways that "hit home" to them (the example BC used was someone seeing a news story involving someone they actually knew in real life).
I agree w/ him and my feeling is that once people start waking up to ANY facet of what has been going on (e.g. in the economy, politics, etc) that if they follow that lead, they'll eventually fall all the way down the rabbit hole. For me, it was economics that led me to learning about politics, history, etc.
I know a lot of people feel overwhelmed by economics so they can't really be convinced any economic arguments (since they don't feel they understand any of it). But I think surveillance probably would "hit home" with almost everyone.
