Proud of my wife this morning...Submitted by kozmoedave on Thu, 03/28/2013 - 10:38
(Wasn't sure which forum to put this in, so forgive me.)
My wife is a fellow Ron Paul supporter, and is subject to my political/economics rants, which she generally agrees with.
She shares an office with a liberal democrat who is fond of verbalizing her opinions. My wife has been honing her debate skills with her.
She sent me a text this morning, summarized here.
The co-worker was talking about the whole gay marriage "rights" issue, when my wife showed her a libertarian banner on Facebook that basically said that freedom would be a government that has no part in marriage.
Co-worker: Well, it's so they can keep track of people for tax purposes.
Wife: You know how I feel about taxes.
Co-worker: But then there would be no police!
Wife: Sure there would; they would just be privatized.
Co-worker: Who would protect us from Ted Kaczynski and people like him?
Wife: The police protected us from Ted Kaczynski?
Co-worker: (With a hand-wave) Well, it doesn't matter anyway...
Boom! That's how it's done.
