'Fusion center director: We don't spy on Americans, just anti-government Americans'

Published time: March 29, 2013 20:35

Law enforcement intelligence-processing fusion centers have long come under attack for spying on Americans. The Arkansas director wanted to clarify the truth: centers only spies on some Americans – those who appear to be a threat to the government.

In trying to clear up the ‘misconceptions’ about the conduct of fusion centers, Arkansas State Fusion Center Director Richard Davis simply confirmed Americans’ fears: the center does in fact spy on Americans – but only on those who are suspected to be ‘anti-government’.

"In America everybody is free, some are just free-er than others..."

We all share this eternally evolving present moment- The past and future only exist as inconsequential mental fabrications.

Did anyone actually think we weren't being watched?

You people make me laugh. It doesn't matter how YOU define "anti-government". Hell, it doesn't even matter if you're "pro-government". If you are a threat to the status quo, you are being monitored.

And I guarantee that if you are on the Daily Paul, reading these words, you are already on someone's watch-list.

LoL

Hummmmmm. What's the definition of an American to these clowns, someone who disagrees with the state? LoL This ludicrous distinction is precisely why strictly enforcing the 4th amendment to the US Constitution is so vital. Where's your warrant and probable cause to spy on "some" Americans? Maybe, it's time for the American people to start spying on the "fusion" centers since they're clearly a threat to the people and the US Constitution.

There ya go.

A dose of their own medicine.

That must mean me

because I am certainly not "for" our present govenment. So I must be anti-government.

How can I be for a government that is responsible for the following?

Created the unconstitutional Federal Reserve that continually devalues the dollar. They are nothing more than a "legalized" counterfeiter that in effect taxes us without representaion and robs the value of our savings. And also screws up the economy.

Congressmen, Senators, Presidents and Supreme Court Justices who swear to uphold the Constitution but don't.

Presidents who lie about the necessity to go to war that needlessly kill our soldiers and civilians.

Presidents who authorize drone attacks that end up killing innocent men, women and children.

A Congress that passes laws that violate the due process protections of the Constitution.

A Congress and President that think they can go on deficit spending forever.

A leadership that ignores the clear evidence that the WTC towers were brought down by controlled demolition.

A leadership that ignores the clear evidence that our current president presented a fraudulent birth certificate to the public and who also has a Social Security number that fails e-verify.

An amabasador to the U.N. who says that the death of 500,000 Iraqi children due to U.S. sanctions was worth it.

Translation:

We spy on everyone in order to find out who doesn't like us.

This also begs the question

How do you know they are "anti-government" wihout first spying on them to find out

Ah, symantics.

And do tell, please define an 'anti-government American'...whatever THEY decide it to be defined as...a VERY dynamic definition.

The law cannot make a wicked person virtuous…God’s grace alone can accomplish such a thing.
Ron Paul - The Revolution

Setting a good example is a far better way to spread ideals than through force of arms. Ron Paul

We only spy on people who pay attention to us

Government should be allowed to do whatever we wish without question. Therefore, those who question us are enemies.
I hope the little queers are spying on me.

The police now dominate our 3 branches of government

Everyone else including judges and legislators are being intimidated by these roving gangs in blue.

They have dominant authority at the court house and at council meetings.

They decide everything because they are the dominant force with guns.

We even have police now arresting and removing dully elected city council members from their seats during city council meetings.

And we have examples of elected party delegates and committeemen in several states and even at the national convention being accosted, kidnapped and forcibly removed from party business by police so that the people they represent are given no voice against the police and executive power abuses.

There is not much left in the way of separation of government today in america.

We don't need a king. We have like 10,000,000 cops that think that they can burst into our homes and papers at will and tell us what we should do.

.

The government

is we the people. Who are these impostors claiming to be "government?"

http://www.dailypaul.com/280124/the-four-legs-of-liberty-act...

Also why do we keep PARROTING their puppet phrases? How can you be anti-government when there is no legitimate governing body in place? We the people are the government in this country. We have public servants to help handle certain things we don't want to do ourselves.

This is the only country on the planet... to my knowledge... where the people are at the top of the food chain. It is all through deception that they now don't realize they are STILL the top of the food chain.

We can solve these problems but we gotta stop watching the bouncing ball.

I'm pro-government. Everyone in the liberty movement should be pro-government too.

more confusion

he made more confusion,,, not cleared it up

are we anti-gov't and on the watch list

or is he talking about whitepower miltia groups training in the woods??? or people sending death threats to senators

i hope we aren't a threat,,or at least in that way,,,, but a threat to change the status quo,, but it does seem anyone questioning gov't is being percieved or pushed into the "extremist category"

Remember the MIAC report?

While it listed some illegal activities of groups, the other things in that report made pretty clear the intended targets and the intent to foment the idea with law enforcement that various dissenting views and those who have them are to be considered suspicious.

MIAC Strategic Report 2/20/09 'The Modern Militia Movement'.

The MIAC report can be viewed at the link below. I know some don't like Alex Jones, but Alex gives a good synopsis of why the the report is very disturbing.

The report's title pertains to militia and goes on to outrageously target for suspicion those indulging in such constitutionally protected activities as depicting "the FRS, IRS, FBI, ATF, CIA, UN, Law Enforcement, and "The New World Order" in a derogatory manner."

This report went so far as to include supporting 3rd party candidates and supporters of Ron Paul, Chuck Baldwin, & Bob Barr. (yes, this report actually mentioned these candidates by name)
http://www.infowars.com/secret-state-police-report-ron-paul-...

Interesting in that report is how they attempt to ridicule people and label them as extremists for having concerns over things that those putting out the report try to mislead law enforcement officers into believing are mere "theory", things that gov't officials have actually called for and done so PUBLICLY, such as a Universal Service Program.

Universal Service Program: Statements made by President Elect Obama and his chief of staff have led extremists to fear the creation of a Civilian Defense Force. This theory requires all citizens between the age of 18 and 25 to be forced to attend three months of mandatory training.

While the MIAC Report attempts to plant the notion in the heads of law enforcement(the intended recipients of the MIAC report)that this idea of universal service is simply some "theory" of extremists, that is hardly the case.

Rahm Emanuel called for it PUBLICLY, writing a book entitled 'The Plan: Big Ideas for America' (bold emphasis mine) and even doing an interview about it where he calls for EXACTLY what the MIAC Report leads law enforcement officers to believe is mere "theory".

Citizenship is not an entitlement program. It comes with responsibilities...Everybody somewhere between the ages of 18 and 25 will serve three months of basic training and understanding in a kind of civil defense.

It's hard not to read this MIAC Report and see that it has little to do with real terrorists, but rather the clever manipulation of law enforcement to instill in them that people such as constitutionalists and those the gov't marginalizes as conspiracy theorists and anyone else who dissents with gov't policies are to be deemed suspicious.

For an example of how effective that manipulation can be and how those seeds can take root, look no further than the recent example where a couple was targeted for an over-the-top swat-style raid (supposedly for a domestic dispute) for being identified by law enforcement as constitutionalists.
http://www.dailypaul.com/258350/being-a-constitutionalist-in...

The MIAC Report is not alone in such manipulation of law enforcement. Consider the pamphlet put out several years ago by The Phoenix Joint Terrorism Task Force. It's stated purpose is "to assist uniformed patrol officers in identitying potential domestic terrorism". Yet in this list of those to be targeted for suspicion are such people as "lone individuals" and those who "make numerous references to the US Constitution" and it brands "defenders of the US Constitution.." as right-wing extremists.

So to answer your question, with the info in the MIAC Report (and others) already exposing who they see as enemies to be targeted for suspicion, it is doubtful he is just talking about whitepower militia training in the woods or people sending death threats to senators.

Anybody who isn't

Anybody who isn't anti-government isn't paying attention, or has been bought off by stolen money (taxes). So Richard Davis assures us that they only spy on Americans who are honest and awake and realize that the U.S. is now a police state. Boy, that takes a load off my mind.

Bob

if you never listen to anything else I ever say at least hear this:

THERE IS NO GOVERNMENT.

THERE IS NO GOVERNMENT.

One last time: THERE IS NO GOVERNMENT.

People need to get educated on just exactly who's running the show in this country. Most of the problems we face are due to the fact people just don't know their own power.

I'm not anti-government at ALL. I'm anti-FRAUD, anti-racketeering, anti-murder etc etc.... and I'm also anti-CORPORATION because a corporate set up by definition limits your ACCOUNTABILITY for your ACTIONS and you get WHAT WE SEE IN FRONT OF OUR FACES TODAY.

Crazy- imagine this-lol-

i can only up-vote once. darn.

Will some one please

show me where the government is? Every time I look for them all I see is criminals...

Here's a better question

Can anyone demonstrate historical evidence that supports the concept of government having even theoretical feasibility?

The founding fathers, the

The founding fathers, the ones who CREATED this singular Nation, clearly stated that the Federal Government was always the enemy of a free people and needed to be restrained. That is a FACT.

That's called deifying a "creator"

Their opinions were nothing more, of course, and their actions amounted to mass fraud.

Someone else supposedly tempted some humans with the freedom of having knowledge about good & evil, passing along over time the "wisdom" to know how to restrain evil through the "superior constitution" of a philosopher king collective.

Were the founding fathers flawed men, or gods with godlike republics to offer? The answer is simple, one need merely remain sane following sixth-grade civics class.

There's only one thing wrong-

- the wrong people are in jail! And this cock-eyed practice today (in the land of the free, brave, and beautiful is:

"The wrong people are in jail"

Amen to that! They have it backward about who is the real threat to this country.

The threat is abusers of authority like them who seek to infringe on the rights and freedoms and liberties of people.

Thanks, Jiminy-

I said that because - in my lifetime, not that long ago - the legal standard in THIS country was:

than to let ONE INNOCENT man go to jail."

"Anti Government Americans" needs to be more clearly defined.

I bet they could write a novel size book on that definition.

BUT

tyranny is in the workplace
tyranny is in the home
tyranny is in nature
tyranny is in heaven (for those who believe)
so why shouldn't we expect tyranny in government?
*whoops trying to reply to Libera_me

Anti-government

You can be sure that their definition of anti-government includes anyone who dares to question their authority to spy on them.

Well, guess they're going to miss people like Chris Dorner.

I am anti- Tyranny, not anti-government

The Government of this country was not intended to be an oligarchy.

I am also pro Rule of Law. For Everyone, Congress, The President and The Supreme Court have laws that apply to them.

Pro Bill of Rights as well.....
