The trolls win...I'm taking a break!

This liberty movement is becoming more hostile towards biblical Christianity; essentially, in the name of tolerance and inclusion(courting the left), they are becoming more bold in their mocking and diminishing of the well-documented origin of our founders WISE and immovable principles wherein government is limited by the giver of life and liberty.

Oh, we call them trolls, and we encourage posters to move on and make their point anyway; and I'll admit, it's the homosexuality arguments and now the Easter jokes; but even if they don't "celebrate" Christian holidays, they should keep their mocking away from a place where our public reputation is so prominent...especially where a Christian Statesmen is revered for his trustworthiness; an attribute Christ-rejecters RARELY exhibit in American public office.

This movement is going in a bad way; sensing the inevitability of chaos and civil unrest to come, those unrestrained by any governing authority are throwing it all out there, only to exacerbate the confusion.

Liberty cannot flourish in such an environment; one that dethrones God, and replaces His authority with man's wisdom. The cream will rise to the top, but for now I'm not going to fight this uphill battle. I know who is to blame for this, it is the hypocrites who occupy the pews of our American churches, and their unregenerated, unsaved, never converted leadership professing to have a salvation they do not possess; nonetheless, using them as an excuse to reject and deny the Creator and His laws is lacking in logic, as well as an excuse to dismiss history only to rationalize more "sin for a season" under another disobedient government.

PSALM 74:18 Remember this, that the enemy hath reproached, O LORD, and that the foolish people have blasphemed thy name.

1 Corinthians 3:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God.

The time has come for me to take a sabbatical from the DP; the increase in frequency of mocking the purest and most long standing wisdom of men who stood up to tyranny from the underdog position has reached a fever pitch so disruptive to our intended path that I personally need to take this deliberate course of action knowing that what I know as truth, will be made known once again, by less than pleasant circumstances, if the liberty our founders desired for their posterity is to be achieved or enjoyed for another significant period of human history.

(during this time off: I will delve into reading The Magdeburg Confession...no doubt MUCH of our philosophical positions are contained there!)

Christian zealots are destroying the Liberty

movement. They are using it to further their own biblical agenda. They have NO intention of protecting liberty for all. They flash around the Constitution in one hand and smash the rights of some Americans in the other. They are the enemy of Liberty and all Liberty activists should keep their eyes on this group. They want a Christian Crusade NOT liberty. Expose them and remove them from our movement. Good riddance. Moderate Christians are enjoyable and for the most part benign.

Can we please get FEDOR banned again. Here we go.

I agree with most of what you say...

I don't post much here because I hate getting into arguments.Though I don't believe that the Bible authorizes any holidays. I was thinking about joining the Constitution Party. I hope they have better candidates for offices than last year.

Contrary to the theory of moral relativism...

morality is based on empirical observation, not subjective perception, so the beneficial effects of morality on society are based on scientific fact. So the anarcho-trolls that mock morality are doomed to fail, but even while the noose tightens around their necks, they will be cracking jokes and claiming victory. Such is the delusional end of those who worship anarcho-moronism.

Citizens who promote morality and Godly principles need not be discouraged by trolls. Have compassion on the trolls wandering in the wilderness and pray they find their way to path of salvation.

You know Mark,

there are quite a few Christian-anarchists around (even some on the DP). In fact, Christian-anarchists have been around for quite a while. And even many of those who don't identify as "Christian" still value morality. I've seen many anarchist/voluntaryist individuals on the DP making the case for their position based on government, by its very nature, going against the the principle of non-aggression. Is that not a *moral* argument? Does that not demonstrate that they do have some set of *morals*? You want to know what I haven't seen? Personally, I have not come across a single anarchist/voluntaryist on the DP, or anywhere for that matter, who held a libertine philosophy and/or was an anarchist/voluntaryist because they wanted to go out raping, pillaging, or whatever else it is you've convinced yourself these folks want to do. EVERY person I have come across who holds anarchist views has reached that position based on a set of *moral* principles.

It's quite laughable that you would encourage others to "have compassion on the trolls" (which you consider to be the an-caps) considering the personal insults and vitriol you've spewed at them. Maybe you ought to pray to remove that plank in your eye before you concern yourself with removing the speck from your brother's.

Christianity destroyed from within by Judaic infiltrators

Across the globe, the Easter celebrations are in full flow. Easter is a commemoration of the martyrdom of Jesus, at the hands of the Pharisees, or as we would now call them, the Elders of Jewry. Easter is a solemn and sombre occasion for reflection; it is a religious time, which is completely divorced from any expressions of materialism. At least that is how it is supposed to be in the Christian world.

Luke 3:38
Isaiah 43:3-5

I think Resurrection Sunday is a Victorious Celebration!

IMO, The thing that Believers celebrate on Easter Sunday is not the crucifixion of Christ, but rather the resurrection of Christ. If Christ had only died we would be without hope. But in his resurrection is victory over sin and death.

Ephesians 1:19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come...

The Pharasees didn't kill Jesus. Jesus laid down his life for the sins of this world. All of my sin was bought and paid for by Jesus himself.

John 10:14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. 15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall beone fold, and one shepherd. 17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. 18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again.

Death has no Victory!!! And our Lord defeted it! That is cause for celebration! Wow!

My two cents

I believe a Judeo-Christian foundation is what guided the founders and our founding documents. I’m no zealot, but I do think that freedom and morality are both necessary to maintain Liberty. That we can’t just have simply chaotic freedom, nor can we just have theocratic moral law. We are in danger of losing our liberty because we have abandoned our moral foundation. Still, I do not believe that we can create a moral society through the creation of laws and that all too often; we have become a society that treats symptoms instead of diseases. I am concerned with the government intrusion into the church, but am also worried that we (sometimes including myself) have become a nation void of any responsibility to God.

We should confront Christian extremists.

Not moderate Christians. The individuals that are using the Liberty movement to weaken local and federal government so they can force their creation myth on other Americans. They ARE an enemy of Liberty. WE should expose them and force them out of the Liberty Movement and encourage them to form a public Christian Crusade. Let them see how far they get exposed and without the protection of the Liberty Movement. These folks are mentally ill and dangerous. They are capable of doing anything when they convince themselves their actions, evil or not, are for Jesus. Yes, they are among us and we should recognize this.

Hopefully the mods will read this and your past material and make the connection and cut you off before you get on your ignorant rants again.

Don't know why...

so many downvotes. You make a good point. Extremists of all sorts are never good.

I would say they need not be removed, just ignore them if you don't like what they are saying... this isn't a clubhouse... just a group of people sharing ideas.

It is true that

endless prayers, anti-abortion laws and open borders can increase the number of poor and crippled.

The church, however, lacks the most important tool - how to increase prosperity and reduce the number of poor and crippled.

Such tools are knowledge, freedom and saved capital.

What a surprise! The leaders of a nation quoting from the holy book of a religion most of them follow!!

That absolutely means everything in the book is TRUE and NOT fantastical nonsense. Yeah, because its got proverbs that can be used to justify any position under the sun.

May God bless you.

I haven't commented on this site for some time now, but wanted to send to you my appreciation for being part of this site when it was great.

Please know that you are not alone.

To all of the people who were here in 2008, all my love.

I believe that...

the people who hold so much contempt for Christianity, and those who practice Christianity, is that they do not fully appreciate the irony of their actions.

How many people here have been unfairly characterized with what the Tea-Party has become after being co-opted by powerful interests? Would you say it fair to associate the founding ideals of the Tea-Party with those who now claim to be "The Leaders" of the movement?

I wouldn't...

yet, the people who criticize Christianity are the ones who fall victim to this same error. Christian Ideals are the ideals that allow Free Market Capitalism to exist... the fact that Jesus' Gospel was hijacked and co-opted by powerful interests should make some of you think twice about Christianity. It should tickle your interest about what Jesus truly stood for.

So, before you go explaining to some Liberals that believing in Tea-Party ideals doesn't make YOU what those who hijacked the Party have made it, you should pick up a Bible and read past all the creationist ideology and listen to what Jesus preached.

Your premise is wrong

The people mocking Christianity are not part of the liberty movement.

Just as a good Christian shouldn't be judgmental, libertarianism at its core should be non-judgmental. We all want to be free to believe our own beliefs and to do as we please while not infringing on the rights of others.

Unfortunately there are too many on here who perpetuate the common perception of libertarians as anti-social bigots.

We are not, but they might be.

In disclosure. I was raised Christian and decided that I didn't believe in it. But common human decency leads me to live and let live when it comes to others beliefs and not to mock people. Unfortunately the rot of society has also affected the DP.

It's too bad Michael is letting the rot take over here.
