Jesse Benton Strikes Again

As if millions of Ron Paul supporters could ever forget the gaffes and missteps made by Jesse Benton, it seems that he is at it again. This time, Benton is sticking his foot in it regarding Ron Paul's son, Senator Rand Paul.

Just as Rand seemed to be enjoying a huge boost in popularity following his nearly 13-hour filibuster on the Senate floor, it appears that Jesse Benton was most likely instrumental in securing Rand's recent endorsement of insider Mitch McConnell. If that was not bad advice enough, Benton recently took liberty in telling the world that Rand Paul supposedly "Can't stand" a particular tea party leader in Kentucky.

After an abrupt exit from the Ron Paul campaign, Jesse Benton became the new campaign manager for Senator Mitch McConnell. Because of his new duties, Benton appears to be turning his back completely against the tea party movement in Kentucky. Does he really expect Rand Paul to do the same?

In a recent interview with Daily Caller, Benton insists that there is supposedly no interest at all in finding a tea party challenger to Sen. McConnell. As Benton continues, the old diarrhea of the mouth problem seems to come back to roost. While referring to David Adams who is reportedly trying to find a tea party challenger to McConnell, Jesse states the following:

David Adams? The guy we fired? He’s just so incompetent. He’s trying to stir some rumor mill (about a serious tea party challenger.) Rand can’t stand David (Adams).

Some people think Benton

Some people think Benton deserved the hundreds of thousands he received from the Paul campaign. What do you think?

“Let it not be said that no one cared, that no one objected once it’s realized that our liberties and wealth are in jeopardy.”
― Ron Paul

As far as I'm concerned,

As far as I'm concerned, Benton is dead to me. He does not speak for or represent the liberty movement or Rand Paul.

That tis' all.

Goggled "Rand Paul said he endorses Mitch McConnell" Nothing!

I Goggled "Rand Paul said he endorses Mitch McConnell" and to date I see NOTHING that quotes Rand only that failure of a human Benton.

Its very unusual for a campaign manager to jump the gun and without verification of the Senator standing by his side, make such a claim.

“In the beginning of change, the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for it costs nothing to be a patriot.”

Mark Twain

I googled and it seemed

you were correct, most articles were quoting Benton then I ran across this one.

“No one has asked me about running, I have not had any conversation with anybody running on the Republican side,” Paul told WHAS11’s Joe Arnold, “and so I think it's unlikely that there will be a Republican challenger.”

“And you're right, I am supporting Senator McConnell,” Paul continued.

Asked if, therefore, he would discourage anyone from thinking about such a challenge, Paul replied, “Yes."

Is he immoral, or trying to plant Rand deep on the inside

this is why I hated politics before I heard the word Dr. Paul

A true flower can not blossom without sunlight and a true man can not live without love.

It is no secret that Benton is bad, but

I could blame ill-advice for all my problems too. It is a good way to avoid responsibility (in ones own mind).
From bottom of article...

"If you are Rand Paul, you just don't go along with throwing the Tea Party under a bus."

Why not? He threw the liberty movement under the bus.

Maybe the liberty movement

Maybe the liberty movement should give a collective "we dont like you" to Benton.

To climb the mountain, you must believe you can.

Jesus what a cockroach, on

Jesus what a cockroach, on par with Karl Rove in slime content.

Southern Agrarian

Upon closer inspection

we might find that Benton is being handled by the nation breaking Tygryve Olsen, the so called "adult in the room". This is neo con work in it's most refined manifestation.

There are no politicians or bankers in foxholes.

We all know Benton is a Judas,

but the real question should is, 'when is Rand going to take his walk to Damascus'? I think the Judas, Benton, is an establishment plant, that has the inside information to blackmail the Pauls. If not, how could Ron and Rand be so ignorant to the many divisive non-liberty establishment traps he has put them through? I don't care if he is married into the family, the lure of power and greed will make most weak hearted people side with the devil. Ron kind of hurdled the traps laid by Benton and continued to do his own thing, though it hurt his campaign with his supporters. However, Rand seems to jump into the quicksand, and soon won't be able to make it out.

Much larger and deeper chess game at work here than...

There is a much larger, and far deeper chess game at work here than the writer of that article can apparently grasp! She should leave it alone to work it's magic! The CFR knows exactly what is being played out on the board. Some of the 'former Constitution party' writers apparently do not!

It might be better to read this article behind the rant, or others, for a better perspective on what was really taking place. http://dailycaller.com/2013/03/27/rand-paul-helps-squash-tea...

Folks, even Jesse's 'gaffes' have a purpose! We can play the three steps forward and two steps back, as well as the communists, or CFR!

Unencumbered by any particular visible commitments on issues of specific nature, such as Ron Paul's record of voting 'No', and his mostly misunderstood by the voters, 'principled stances', which did not allow much wiggle room for 'in-the-trenches', hand to hand political-deception fighting, Senator Rand Paul can on the other hand, 'appear' to run almost any direction, or even in circles, in order to win the type of political trench warfare which is done outside the view of voter comprehension. Though we would like him to 'be' Ron Paul, and all that history will no doubt record about the greatest of all congressman, Rand Paul cannot become his father's career embodiment, and all that the Ron Paul name entails.

On the other hand, now if ever, for liberty, he must turn 'what he can become', to every advantage!

Grassroots, we have now entered the realm of warfare for liberty, which is calculated to enlist the votes of the masses of 'couch potatoes' who cannot grasp the meaning of the word 'sobriety', let alone the word 'non-intervention'. As much as truth, consistency, liberty, and pure concepts attracted patriots to the ranks of Ron Paul's constitutional revolution, without this new complete package by 2014 we will be looking in from the outside once again.

There is a new reality now being driven like a stamped herd, and the riders are NDAA, Patriot Act, CIA, FED, just to name a few. It is far less likely there will be any more chances to secure the White House in an age of such rapid deterioration of liberty and wholesale violations of oath and law, as have exploded in D.C. and throughout the states!

Time and resources are precious. One of these is strategy so calculated to defeat even the most sage and subtle of political animals in DC, including the powers that feed them! Simply recognizing the enormity of this task, and the treachery behind the actors who have become enemies of liberty and constitution, should be ample reason for us to pause and consider the need for each move on the part any who might seem, even peripherally, to be on the side of constitution and liberty!

We should not run all directions 'at the mouth', over every shallow and soporific rant which the enemies of liberty spew forth. Consider the source. Consider the end game. Consider the need. Much of what is written against one or the other liberty name is simply 'journalistic junk food', designed to pre-occupy a once proactive and fearfully potent Ron Paul grassroots!

You can be assured that the real enemies of liberty, those who back all that is evil, those with designs to enslave and in so doing destroy the constitutional republic, those on a path of draining the wealth and resources of nations, yet fear the name Ron Paul!

They fear the Ron Paul grassroots, their knowledge, and the fact that they are still growing!

Know that hidden amidst all this is a path to liberty!

For strategic reasons, a further discussion of this subject might be best held after we win the White House for freedom and constitutional liberty! The implications of such a victory, to the DP members, should be obvious. What will follow such a victory will be widespread; it's effects severe!

It's not a chess game, it's

It's not a chess game, it's politics! No amount of rhetoric will prove otherwise. All Rand is attempting to do is show how much smarter he is than his "old man", and it isn't going to work

"It is difficult to free fools from the chains they revere".

It's hard not to be a menace to society when half the population is happy on their knees. - unknown

It's 'politics as chess'... definitely not rhetoric!

Why waste breath on rhetoric when I know the players personally. Believe me it is chess. Unfortunately, it will not be understood by many in the liberty movement. Fortunately it does not need to be. In the end it will become clear!

What REALLY ticks me off~~

Benton or whoever sold our addresses to the RINOS,and I would like to know WHO EXACTLY did this deed. I am SICK of all the mail we've gotten! Disgusting!

I am totally p---d off about that one! I hope Ron Paul didn't engage in this despicable act or approve it! I just hope not.

is that why we attract trolls?

or was that a silly question?

I will personally campaign

I will personally campaign against McConnell and do my best to get him replaced if he does not come out strong against gun control in this time of crisis.

These blowhards can kiss the xza! of the good people of Kentucky. You know he's no good, I know he's know good, and he's about to "shoot" himself in the foot.

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.

Correct plan!

We are simply milking McConnell. It matters not that he wins or looses. All the better if a liberty candidate challenges him! Remember Ron Paul voted for adding a 'declaration of war', but still intended to vote against the 'bill as a whole'! There are good reasons to run a liberty candidate against McConnell... and good reasons for Rand to do what he is doing right now! Just don't confuse the two.

I predict McConnell will lose renomination

He will support gun control, he's already calling for it.

Kentucky doesn't have a recall election, but I predict there will be demands for it as soon as he does it. His lasting legacy may be a law for recalling politicians in the State of Kentucky.

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.

I live in KY

and have been heavily involved since 2007 with Ron Paul's first run. I don't know Rand much but am on a first-name basis, and the same goes for Jesse Bention; and I am close friends with David Adams.

David Adams is a fierce defender of liberty and has done a good job of bringing along some sleepy Republicans. I don't know what the falling out was all about in Rand's campaign, but I have a lot of faith in David.

I don't know Jesse except by name. I didn't like the way a number of things with Rand's campaign were handled, and I was unimpressed with Jesse's answers. I don't trust him at all.

Well.....if Rand Paul is so smart, then why is just going along with this, and allowing himself to be manipulated?

Ultimately, you have to put the blame on the candidate, and not the "handlers". They either stand their ground, or they do not. And if their handlers are consistently putting them into bad situations, it is their duty to recognize that, and fire those handlers. True Leaders do not just jump off of a bridge, because some handler told them to do so.

It's just like when Ron Paul decided to quit, and give Romney a totally unimpeded, uncontested path to the nomination over the last 4.5 months. He could have instead said, "Hell no we're gaining momentum, and we're going to push on 100%, make an aggressive argument against Romney, and make our numbers as big as they can get". But he just terminated the whole campaign, and walked away.

The Pauls have to already know, that the vast majority of political operatives and managers are well entrenched and corrupted by the WallStreet-Warfare-Globalist elites. They should require and demand loyalty to a different agenda, before they ever hire them....and in order to retain any services.
