MLB slugger Travis Hafner is a Ron Paul supporter

saw this link on Ron Paul Forums and thought it was kind of interesting:
http://reporting.sunlightfoundation.com/2013/politics-mlb-te...

it lists all the political contributions by MLB players and team executives for the 2012 election cycle -- a few others who gave to Ron were Casey Fossum, Tim Melville, and Todd Wellemeyer but these players aren't too well known. Travis Hafner is the most well known of these names and at one point was one of the best power hitters in the game but has since struggled with injuries for many years... he signed a 1 year $2 million contract with the Yankees this offseason after playing for Cleveland most of his career. Here is a picture of him and Shelley Duncan (also of the Cleveland Indians) hanging out with Ron Paul after a debate last year:

Hafner was a beast when he was w/ the Tribe.

He was one of the best in the MLB for awhile. I wish he wasn't as washed up now because his endorsement would've had more impact. O well still pretty cool.

If he can stay healthy

he should have a decent year... maybe a fresh start in New York will be good for him too. In his prime he was definitely one of the best, really killed the ball whenever he made contact.
